Legal regulation of dietary supplements advertising
Šotolová, Barbora ; Patěk, Daniel (advisor) ; Liška, Petr (referee)
5 Legal regulation of dietary supplements advertising Abstract The thesis analyses and summarizes the legal regulation of dietary supplements advertising. It deals with the assessment of the effectiveness of the current legal regulation in the given area from the point of view of consumers, as the most frequent addressees of advertising and tries to answer the question whether this regulation provides sufficient protection for consumers or whether it rather restricts them too much from receiving valuable information. The issue is also approached through the lens of food business operators and the question is raised whether the strictness of the legal regulation does not exclude or excessively prevent them from advertising a dietary supplement. In the first chapters, the dietary supplement is characterised, while an introduction to the legal regulation of dietary supplements as such is defined. This is followed by a definition of advertising and its typical aspects and an introduction to the legal, as well as extra-legal, instruments for its regulation. The core of the thesis is in third chapter, which deals with the analysis of the individual rules set out in the Advertising Regulation Act No 40/1995 Coll. and the relevant directly applicable EU regulations, as these rules are specific to the field of...
Specifics of bank insolvency proceedings
Berger, Petr ; Tomášek, Petr (advisor) ; Liška, Petr (referee)
Specifics of bank insolvency proceedings Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the specifics of bank bankruptcy with the aim of analytically evaluating the current legislation. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first part deals with the general legal regulation of the bank and other related institutes such as the banking license or the protection of the bank's business name. It also deals with banking supervision, which is exercised by the Czech National Bank and is extremely important during the bank insolvency proceedings. The next section discusses the specifics of bank bankruptcy proceedings. The part is divided into several chapters. Bank insolvency proceedings are specific from the filing of the insolvency petition, which is discussed in the first chapter. The second chapter deals with the only possible way to resolve a bank's insolvency, which is through bankruptcy. The bank insolvency administrator, which is the subject of the next chapter, is specific in terms of the expertise required by the legislation. The last chapter then mentions the specificities arising in the course of bank insolvency proceedings and is divided into 5 points. These points describe the special information obligation, claims arising from the accounts, priority satisfaction of certain claims, the special procedure...
Preparation and characterization of optically active nanorods
Gaizura, Filip ; Liška, Petr (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
This work focuses on the qualitative study of the preparation and optical characterization of CsPbBr3 perovskite nanorods. The first part contains a brief description of 3D, 2D and 0D perovskite nanostructures, and then focuses on the description of the 1D structure - perovskite nanorods, their possible crystal structures, stability, possible preparation methods, optical properties and use in various optoelectronic devices. The practical part discusses in detail the preparation of CsPbBr3 perovskite nanorods using colloidal synthesis based on ligand-assisted reprecipitation and chemical division at room temperature. Furthermore, the synthesized nanorods are analyzed for morphology and their absorption and photoluminescence spectra are measured with the aim of verifying the dependence of optical properties on the mentioned morphology.
Design and development of a multifunctional compact device for correlative measurement of temperature-dependent photoluminescence spectra of perovskite CsPbBr3
Balabán, Martin ; Klok, Pavel (referee) ; Liška, Petr (advisor)
This work presents an experimental setup for measuring the temperature dependence of the photoluminescence response of CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals. The work includes the design, fabrication, optimization and especially the implementation of the device to an existing spectrometer. Furthermore, this thesis deals with the characterization part, which involves sample preparation and actual measurements of temperature-dependent photoluminescence. The constructed device enables photoluminescence measurements with a temperature range of 50 °C to 60 °C. Furthermore, thanks to the implementation of the device in the design of a confocal microscope with a raster stage, it is possible to obtain a map of the photoluminescence response of CsPbBr3 nanocrystals at any temperature in the given range. Each photoluminescence spectrum was parameterized and a simplified linear model based on the exciton-phonon coupling principle was used to determine the temperature dependence of the photoluminescence line width. Finally, the measured data are compared with existing measurements and the advantages and limitations of our constructed device are evaluated.
Optical characterization of advanced nanomaterials with a high lateral resolution
Liška, Petr ; Münz, Filip (referee) ; Dvořák, Petr (advisor)
Advanced nanomaterials show a significant improvement in certain physical or functional properties compared to conventional materials. Such advanced materials are, for example, lead halide perovskites (LHP). It is a group of hybrid organic-inorganic materials with a direct bandgap exhibiting unique optical properties. The high quantum efficiency of photoluminescence makes nanocrystals or thin films of LHP suitable candidates for the production of light-emitting diodes, solar cells and LCD displays. Their inexpensive and simple fabrication together with their unique optical properties makes LHP one of the most developed materials of the last decade. This diploma thesis aims to study the optical properties of CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals using high lateral resolution methods. CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals show intense anti-Stokes photoluminescence. These nanocrystals can emit light with a lower wavelength than that of the light that causes their photoluminescence. The nanocrystals are prepared in two different ways: by evaporation or by crystallization of the precursor in a solution of dimethylformamide. The morphology, photoluminescence properties and chemical composition of individual nanocrystals are studied. Each nanocrystal is studied individually and its size, shape, photoluminescence properties and chemical compounds are determined, which leads to a deeper understanding of the anti-Stokes photoluminescence of perovskite nanocrystals.
Optical characterization of inorganic lead halide perovskites using ab-initio methods
