Automated Representation Learning for Cartesian Genetic Programming Using Neural Networks
Koči, Martin ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Sekanina, Lukáš (advisor)
This master's thesis addresses the integration of neural networks and Cartesian Genetic Programming (CGP). It explores the use of neural networks for automated representation creation for CGP and their application to improve the evolutionary process in CGP. The study covers basic concepts of machine learning, including various types of learning and neural network models. It also touches on evolutionary algorithms with an emphasis on their basic principles, general algorithms, and types of representations. This work also includes principles of representation learning and two fundamental architectures for their creation. It describes the subsequent use of representation learning in genetic programming. The solution design includes data acquisition and preprocessing, representation creation processes, and the utilization of the resulting representations. The thesis also implements two new approaches for creating representations for Cartesian genetic programs. It further explores their use in two new mutation operators, where one is based on direct modification of the vector representation and the other on the selection of genes for mutation based on their similarity. The last of the explored areas is predicting the suitability of candidate solutions using newly emerged representations.
Evolutionary Design of Image Classifier
Koči, Martin ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Drahošová, Michaela (advisor)
This thesis deals with evolutionary design of image classifier with help of genetic programming, specifically with cartesian genetic programming. Thesis discribes teoretical basics of machine learing, evolutionary algorithms and genetic programming. Part of this thesis is described design of the program and its implementation. Futhermore, experiments are performed on two solved tasks for the classification of handwritten digits and the classification of cube drawings, which can be used to determine the rate of dementia in Parkinson's disease. The best designed solution for digits is with AUC of 0.95 and for cubes 0.86. Designed solutions are compared by other methods, namely convolutional neural networks (CNN) and the support vector machines (SVM). The resulting AUC for the classification of digits for both CNN and SVM is 0.99, for cubes CNN has a final AUC 0.81 and SVM 0.69. The cubes are then compared with existing solution, which resulted in AUC 0.70, so that the results of the experiments show an improvement in the method used in this thesis.
Comparison of conventional light bulbs and contemporary light sources in terms of mutual exchange
Kočí, Martin ; Sokanský, Karel (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
Term project on comparison of conventional light bulbs and light sources present in terms of mutual compensation marks dissertation, which will pay the same issue. The main pillar of the thesis will be a practical measure, whose structure is indicated below. Semester project constitutes a theoretical basis for a thesis and provides an overall introduction to the issue of compensation light sources. Emphasis is placed on the differences between the light source and the real problems may be encountered by consumers during the transition to another type of light bulbs, respectively. fluorescent lamps. Because consumers often replace the original lamps with compact fluorescent lamps, semester project pays attention to just the differences between ordinary incandescent and energy-saving fluorescent lamps.
Design of intelligent building with modern system Ego- n
Kočí, Martin ; Šlezingr, Jan (referee) ; Bátora, Branislav (advisor)
The thesis resolves an electro-installation project for an intelligent home. The system chosen is the Ego-n modern electro-installation system, a product of ABB, s.r.o. which is generally available on the market in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. In the first part of the thesis the difference between a conventional and an intelligent electro-installation is described, and the basic principles of the Ego-n system are formulated together with the range of use. Also included is a brief profile of the basic components and for some of them specific options for configuration and operation in practice. The work also describes the principal advantages and disadvantages of the Ego-n system, especially from the point of view of the user of the building. The reference to communication in busbar intelligent electro-installations is conceived as an overview, designed to give a general idea of busbar processes. The majority of the thesis is aimed at a practical design of an intelligent electro-installation in a specific building. Apart from the text where the project is briefly described and explained, all the technical documentation necessary for the realisation of the building is produced in the appendices: a ground plan drawing with the electro-installation components plotted in, together with drawings of the switchboards. The project also includes a budget and breakdown of materials.

The Changes of Church Communication in the Third Millennium: The Reform of Vatican Media and its Impacts in the Period of the Credibility Crisis
Zavadilová, Tereza ; Koudelková, Petra (advisor) ; Kočí, Martin (referee) ; Franc, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis explores a specific part of the contemporary Church communication area: the Vatican media reform that started in 2015, two years after the appointment of Pope Francis, as a part of the gradual reform of the whole Roman Curia. The aim of this still unfinished media reform is to make Vatican media (radio, TV, press office, news website Vatican News etc.) more technologically and financially effective, to share the message of Pope Francis through the most modern communication channels, to employ more laymen instead of clerics (in 2018 prefect Paolo Ruffini became the first layperson who ever led the Vatican dicastery), and to give voice to the local Church in the world. The many shifts included media unification, convergence, digitization, employing social media and a more reciprocal relationship with the public. Nevertheless, the secondary aim of the reform was to transform Vatican media into more transparent, trustworthy, and reliable source of information about the Church and the faith - especially in this era of a "credibility crisis" caused by the abuse of authority, power, conscience and sexual abuse of minors and vulnerable adults. The thesis proves that the reform has, apart from the obvious technological money-sparing face, also a content face - e.g., the aim to restore its...
