Bayesian inference for anisotropic cluster point processes
Pavlovičová, Diana ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor) ; Pawlas, Zbyněk (referee)
Point processes are stochastic models widely used in biology, forestry, or astronomy. In this thesis, we are going to deal mainly with anisotropic cluster point processes. We present a new method for estimating parameters of such models. The basis of this method is the use of Bayesian statistics combined with Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithms, which are a useful way to estimate parameters which are difficult or impossible to estimate using traditional methods. We describe the method in detail and present several examples of its application to simulated and real-life datasets and discuss the difficulties associated with it. Finally, we prove theoretical results about the convergence of the corresponding Markov chain under specific assumptions on the model and discuss the difficulties we encounter when examining these properties.
Variance of the product of random variables
Danácsová, Michaela ; Pawlas, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
This thesis focuses on the variance of the product of random variables and its appli- cation in specific examples. The work is systematically divided into four chapters, where the variance for independent and dependent random variables is derived. We will focus on deriving the variance in cases of random samples and paired observations. Throughout all the chapters, we will also focus on linear approximation, which is compared throu- ghout the work to the exact form of the variance of the product of random variables. The final chapter illustrates the derived theory on examples from discrete and continuous distributions. The contribution of this bachelor's thesis is the clarification and understan- ding of the issue of the variance of the product of random variables and the application of theoretical derivations on specific distributions. 1
Music composition using artificial intelligence methods
Nature-Inspired Optimisation Algorithms
Krampla, Vojtěch ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee) ; Šeda, Miloš (advisor)
This work focuses on the description of four nature-inspired optimization algorithms. The ant colony algorithm, the grey wolf algorithm, the bee swarm algorithm, and the genetic algorithm are described. As part of this work, the genetic algorithm was implemented for an optimization task, specifically for solving the knapsack problem. The work includes an experiment with this algorithm and an evaluation of the obtained results.
Evolutionary computing techniques
Goněc, Matěj ; Šoustek, Petr (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with evolutionary computing techniques. Specifically, it describes the application of genetic algorithm and differential evolution to path planning of mobile robot.
Evaluation of sample geometry effect on creep deformation progress using acoustic emission method
Dvořák, Jiří ; Sklenička, Václav ; Král, Petr ; Kvapilová, Marie ; Svobodová, M. ; Šifner, J. ; Koula, V.
This work deals with the determination of the influence of the sample geometry on the development of failure during creep exposure. Creep tests were carried out at temperature of 600 °C and a stress of 180 MPa in the protective atmosphere of argon. P92 steel samples with a conventional smooth surface and samples with a V-groove notch were chosen for the test tests. The results of creep resistance and fracture behaviour were complemented by detailed microstructural characterization to assess damage initiation and development. Based on the measured results, the creep data was evaluated using neural networks that systematically search for and process the signal from the acoustic emission (AE). Acoustic emission serves here as an effective non-destructive method for early prediction of the beginning of a possible accident of components of power and chemical plants.
Creep tests of zirconium fuel cladding tubes and their interpretation
Sklenička, Václav ; Kuchařová, Květa ; Kloc, Luboš ; Dvořák, Jiří ; Král, Petr ; Kvapilová, Marie ; Vrtílková, V. ; Krejčí, J.
Time-dependent plastic deformation – creep is one of the most important degradation factors which govern the life of zirconium alloys used as fuel claddings materials in the light water reactor in nuclear power industry. This work aims to describe creep testing of Zr1%Nb (modified E110 alloy) cladding tubes used in the VVER-type reactor. In addition to a standard creep testing method under constant tensile test a nonstandard special creep testing method which has been developed to measure very small creep strains at stresses corresponding to the loading in real service.
Repeated GPS measurements at Tetčice polygon and its interpretation
Dvořák, Jiří ; Josef, Weigel (referee) ; Pospíšil, Lubomil (advisor)
This thesis deals with monitoring shifts in the vicinity of the village Tetčice. The site is located at the interface of geomorphological units. Monitor the area is done in stages and methods of using GPS and precise leveling. Points tested are expected movements in places the earth's crust, which are stabilized on the pillars in order to avoid possible negative effects. The work builds on results from previous measurements.
Meteo weather station
Dvořák, Jiří ; Fajmon, Petr (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
The aim of this master‘s thesis is design and construction of home meteo weather station, the choice of applicable temperature, humidity and pressure sensors and characterization of workable device of station. The core of the station is microcontroller ATmega8 used for process data from sensors. Evaluative criteria for choice of sensors will be comunicate interface, accuracy, operating range, current drain and other aspects. Outer transmittin unit measure air temperature and relative humidity. These data are trasmitted by wireless radio module to interior receiving unit, that measure interior temperature and atmospherical pressure and represent measured data to LCD display including dew point. The data are transmitting to the internet and storing in the database. Measured values are available on the web page where you can display the graphs of last measured values.
Model for E-HR Practice
Červená, Renata ; Polanský, Tomáš (referee) ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor)
The content of this Master thesis is the Analysis of human resource management mainly its foundation. Part of the analysis is also the utilization of Intranet and Internet technologies during the personal processes. The basis is the description of the principles of operating, importance and the ways of application in the human resource management with the aim on current concept of personal work as human resources. Further then also the e-HRM itself with its aim to enable reaching the qualitative change in the personal management based on the utilization of the real possibilities of IT and communication technologies. The purpose of this thesis is also to analyse these processes and thus explain its efficiency and advantages.
