Application of low temperature plasma jet systems for the deposition of thin films
Hubička, Zdeněk ; Kment, Štěpán ; Olejníček, Jiří ; Čada, Martin ; Straňák, V. ; Klusoň, J. ; Tichý, M. ; Klusoň, Petr
The low pressure DC pulsed or RF pulsed modulated hollow cathode plasma jets worked on the principle of the reactive sputtering of the hollow cathode usually in the gas mixture of Ar + O2 or N2. The DC pulsed power supplier was applied with combination of the RF source for the plasma jets generation. It was clearly demonstrated that properties of TiO2 and TiO2:N films significantly depended on the plasma parameters. First, the produced films were characterized with the aid of a number of methods (AFM, SEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), UV–vis spectrometry). Further, the films were judged in terms of their specific optical functionality to generate photocurrents upon being illuminated with spectrally well defined narrow light beams. The parameters of the chemically reactive plasma in the jets were determined using the time-resolved Langmuir probe system. The measurement of the ion energy distribution function was performed by means of the RFA.
Thin Sol-Gel TiO2 Films Prepared by Inkjet Printing – Photoelectrochemical Properties
Morozová, Magdalena ; Klusoň, Petr ; Dzik, P. ; Veselý, M. ; Krýsa, J. ; Šolcová, Olga
This study reports the structural and electrochemical properties of the deposited TiO2 layers prepared by means of the templated sol-gel method by the inkjet printing. The layer morphology and material properties were in detail investigated by optical microscopy, SEM, AFM as well as Raman spectroscopy and XRD analysis. The photo-excitation properties of the TiO2 layers and the ability of their photocurrent generation were studied by electrochemical methods.

Double layer humidity sensor based on phthalocyanine derivatives
Rakušan, J. ; Karásková, M. ; Hamáček, A. ; Řeboun, J. ; Kubáč, L. ; Černý, J. ; Rais, David ; Nešpůrek, Stanislav
New type of humidity sensors based on double layer structure consisting of hydrophilic and hydrophobic phthalocyanine derivatives is presented. The sensor shows high sensitivity in the range from 20 to 90 % relative humidity (RH), good long-time stability and fast response. The impedance change vs. RH is quasi-linear in semilogarithmic plot and fully reversible.
Humidity sensor based on TiO2 nanoparticles and sodium salt of sulfonated AlOH phthalocyanine
Rakušan, J. ; Karásková, M. ; Hamáček, A. ; Řeboun, J. ; Rais, David ; Nešpůrek, Stanislav
New type of humidity sensor based on TiO2 nanoparticles and sodium salt of sulfonated AlOH phthalocyanine is presented. The sensor shows high sensitivity due to the high surface area of TiO2 nanoparticles, good long-time stability and sensitivity in the range from 20 to 80 % RH. The response is linear in semilogarithmic plot – logarithm of impedance vs. RH and fully reversible.

Magnetron Sputtering and the Modulated Hollow Cathode Plasma Jet Sputtering. As chemical method the sol-gel process carried out in the templating environment as dip-coating and piezo-jet printing was employed. The produced films differed in many structural characteristics and also in their photoelectrochemical behaviour, as the primary sought function. The produced layers were described by means of atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, ellipsometry and profilometry. Then the films were used as electrodes in photoelectrochemical experiments.

Quaternary Ammonium Salts in Asymmetric Hydrogenations – Additives, Reaction and Immobilization Media
Floriš, T. ; Klusoň, Petr ; Muldoon, M.J.
The inhibited catalytic activity of Ru-BINAP in MAA hydrogenation through ILs based on anion derivates of acids with higher pKa revealed a side way in the application of the ILs produces from renewable sources, (chiral) carboxylates (betaine, lactates) in genaral. On the other hand the employment of structurally modified quaternary ammonium cations seems to be the perspective route not only in optical yeld increase. Thus quaternary ammonium bromides such as chorides satisfied the reaction parameters enhancement. On the basis of our previous results, envirnmentaly benign choline chloride was applied as a crucial additive in optimized solvent system composed of methanol, CO2 and water.
