It was the Municipal Brewery in Polička, a.s. and the Brewery Rychtář, a.s., Hlinsko v Čechách. It was targeted at the management of breweries. Qualitative methods were used to collect data, including qualitative interviewing with the above-mentioned research sample, texts and documents, and field research supplemented by web pages. Subsequently, obtained data was analyzed, interpreted and evaluated. On the basis of the stated goal, the declared strategy of selected breweries was established. According to the literary research, Porter's generic strategies have been used as a type of strategy used in all the selected literature to incorporate the strategy of breweries. The declared strategy of breweries was tended to a differentiation strategy aimed at a wide range of customers. Subsequently, the real fulfillment of the declared business strategy of each brewery was verified. It was found that the declared strategy was largely in agreement with its fulfillment, for both selected breweries. There were no significant differences for each brewery. Data warehouse based on IBM technologies and its possibilities
Snítil, Jiří ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Novotný, Ota (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of advanced data warehouse concepts where three advanced data warehouse concepts are analysed and their selection is justified. The first selected advanced data warehouse concept is a method of capturing data changes from sources system Change Data Capture (CDC). The second concept is the historization of captured data into historical data collection. The third concept is the application of analytical functions directly within data warehouse technology. A new testing environment has been created to analyse these concepts where the main database system Netezza available in IBM PureData System for Analytics, powered by Netezza technology (PDA), is utilised. This testing environment allowed all selected advanced data warehouse concepts to be reviewed. An impact of the application of these advanced data warehouse concepts has been analysed based on results from the testing environment and practical insights, particularly regarding potential advances. In the testing environment it was verified that all analysed advanced data warehouse concepts are applicable in a data warehouse. In the first advanced data warehouse concept was chosen LiveAudit mapping as appropriate for further data processing, when with this mapping it is possible to unambiguously determine the state of data in a source system at any point in the past. The second advanced data warehouse concept established that data acquired from LiveAudit mapping is possible to effectively process into historical data collection. Based on these findings, there was proposed generic solution of processing data from source systems. In the third advanced data warehouse concept was also proved, that it is possible to work in native analytic environment RGui and move the computation itself into data, which is located in the data warehouse, without the necessity of migration of these data. Further, it is possible to develop and use a new analytic function written in C++ language directly into the technology of the data warehouse.

Parameters and met-rics are grouped by several layers following the BI architecture concept. These layers are data, transformation, presentation, publishing and comunity layer. To set the criteria weig-hts, the Fuller method is used and the results are achieved by weighted sum of acquired values. The main benefit of diploma thesis is a comparison of chosen Self-Service BI tools and their analysis by various criteria. Reader should get the complex picture of Business Intelli-gence topic and will be able to choose the right tool for his needs and be familiar with its pros and cons.

Průchová, Michaela ; Bič, Josef (advisor) ; Procházková Ilinitchi, Cristina (referee)
The thesis is focused on the issue of youth unemployment in the European Union, with the greatest emphasis on the Czech Republic. The main objective of my thesis is to evaluate and recommend suitable practices that would contribute to cut down the youth unemployment rate in the Czech Republic. The most important methods I used in my thesis are scientific description and induction. I have also used a lot of statistical data that is tied to both the Czech and the European labour market. The bachelor thesis is divided into three chapters, the first of which is devoted to the introduction of the issue and specifics of the groups of people endangered with unemployment. The second chapter deals with the unemployment of young people in the European Union, the causes and effects of unemployment and development in the Member States. The last chapter focuses primarily on the unemployment among young people in the Czech Republic, its development and practices against unemployment. In conclusion, I evaluate that the practices implemented by both the European Union and the Czech Republic have a positive impact on the situation of young people on the labour market in the Czech Republic. However, it is not possible to say with certainty which practices are the most beneficial, since it also depends on external influences and the overall state of the economy. Overall, however, I have evaluated as beneficial those practices that contribute to the development of young people personalities, skills and their potentials. This can be achieved mainly through training courses, counselling, and providing of internships and professional practices. As a recommendation to the future, I am suggesting to keep deepening the current efforts to support groups of people who are disadvantaged on the labour market, while focusing particularly on education, work experience and skills improvement.
