This bachelor‘s thesis is focused on the evaluation of economic efficiency of an investment project in a manufacturing company. As a major part of the thesis some options for the purchase of the particular machine were determined and the calculation of economic efficiency of these investment projects was processed. In conclusion, there is an assumption that the human work will not be necessary anymore and the productivity of labour will increase with the investment in the machine.

After the analysis of internal guidelines on the municipality in Letovice, the work includes draft of new internal guidelines in domain of long-time property, which should redound to simpler interpretation these guidelines by reason of detailed division.

Structure and Properties of Coatings Produced by PVD Technology

The submitted work is focused on study of 3rd generation DLC films produced by Platit a.s. company. Thin films are deposited utilizing filtered cathodic vacuum arc process (FCVA). The main goal of thesis was to find out the influence on film properties, caused by change of the substrate holders with different heat dissipation. The change of the substrate holders is motivated purely by economical effort to increase productivity of the deposition process. Teoretical part of the thesis is about the principles of PVD deposition process, characterization of the thin films, DLC thin films and materials used for cutting tools. Experimental part includes description of devices used for specimens analyses, including also the description of measuring process and used conditions. Acquiered results, not only the thin film thickness, adhesion or amount of sp^3 bonds, match with expected results.

Application of 3D printing for prepartion of advanced ceramic materials

In this bachelor thesis there are summarized main 3D printing methods of advanced ceramics. They are compared and their advantages and disadvantages are mentioned. In experimental part of this thesis two different ceramic suspensions were prepared and used for automated silicon form casting and direct 3D printing with financially available 3D printer. The analysis of results was based on reproducibility of the method and sample relative density. The mass accuracy of 5,3 % was reached. It was found out, that the relative density of samples over 98 % can be achieved with accuracy of 1 %.

Optimization for Engineering Design

This bachelor's thesis concerns the problem of finding an optimal cooling solution in respect to cooling costs. It describes the problem of heat transfer, its analytical solution, numerical solution of the boundary values problem and its implementation in MATLAB using the FMINCON function. Individual results are presented graphically, as well as, summarized in calculations and interpreted.

The aim of this bachelor theses is to discuss the process of biodegradation occurring with biodegradable polymers including factors affecting this process. The theses also introduces some types of biodegradable plastics including their properties. At last it discusses waste management of these plastics and their ecological impact.
