Photovoltaic Power Plant Return on Investment Model
Skoupý, Ondřej ; Slavinský, Vojtěch (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on the design of a model for estimating the initial investment cost in constructing a photovoltaic system and assessing its payback. The thesis includes an analysis of the electricity consumption behavior of selected households and an assessment of the critical input parameters necessary for designing the photovoltaic power plant system. Based on the data obtained, a model has been developed, the capabilities of which have been demonstrated in the example and are further discussed within this thesis. The model enables efficient preparation of quotations and payback analyses, which brings significant benefits to streamlining photovoltaic power plant system pricing activities.
Detection and Classification of Photovoltaic Power Plant Panel Defects from a Drone Thermal Imaging Camera
Haužvic, Filip ; Materna, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bambušek, Daniel (advisor)
The thesis describes the processing of thermal images of photovoltaic power plants captured by a drone. In contemporary solutions, the images are analyzed manually, where an expert in thermal imaging searches for defects in individual panels. This approach is very time-consuming, and introducing some level of automation could ease the process. Therefore, I trained and utilized a U-Net model that detects hot spots in the images. To visualize and present the defects to the user, I designed and created a web-based application that highlights them in a complete orthomosaic of the photovoltaic power plant. Within the application, a user can annotate PV panels in the power plant and manually remove, or add any defect. When the plant is wholly annotated, an export to a spreadsheet can be created, matching defects to the individual annotated panels.
Electronic parts of small fotovoltaic power plant
Benda, Dušan ; Šťastný, Ladislav (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis describes the design, implementation and subsequent testing of electronic circuits for usage in small photovoltaic power plants. It focused on the sub-power appliances, battery charging and monitoring of photovoltaic panels. Introduction of this work deals with selecting appropriate controllers for each subsystem and comparison of the proposed facilities with commercially available applications. A substantial part of the work describes the selected controller for each subsystem implemented and circuit design of the individual components of electronic systems in detail. For each subsystem are implemented measuring and comparing the results achieved.
Optimalization of solar park operation
Kašpařík, Petr ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Dolenský, Jan (advisor)
This work deals with the comparison of photovoltaic technologies and optimization of Photovoltaic power plants using empirical models. The primary purpose of this work is to analyse current status of selected photovoltaic power plants in the Czech republic and to suggest possible means to increase their productivity. This analysis uses data measured by systems for direct management of these parks, and these data are compared with theoretical data calculated from measurement system Czech weather stations and PVGIS.
Electronic Parts of Small Photovoltaic Power Plant
Benda, Dušan
The aim of this project is to propose a comprehensive system for the management, control and monitoring of individual components of photovoltaic power plants. This article describes the various methods of approaches to solving each described parts including an outline of the issue. The output of work are functional and tested equipment.
Development of Renewable Energy Sources as a Factor of Landscape Changes: the case of solar power plants
Kronát, Jaromír ; Kučera, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kašková, Magdalena (referee)
Development of Renewable Energy Sources as a Factor of Landscape Changes: An Example of Solar Power Plants Abstract The bachelor thesis "The Development of Renewable Energy Sources as a Factor of Landscape Changes: The Case of Solar Power Plants" explores the phenomenon of the construction of alternative energy facilities as a major driving force of landscape changes. On the example of photovoltaic power plants it attempts to discuss the significance of the impact of renewable resources on the landscape character and on the values that people attach to landscape. The key part of the thesis is the case study of two sites in photovoltaic power plants. The study involves the analysis of media and public reports about the model areas and a series of interviews with respondents from the groups of concerned actors. The research results show large differences in the evaluation of photovoltaic power between different groups of actors involved. The also groups differ in the level of awareness. The are also different attitudes towards various forms of renewables. Keywords: renewable energy, photovoltaic power plants, landscape.
Financial analysis of selected photovoltaic power plants and description of the photovoltaic industry in the Czech Republic
Vojtíšek, Ondřej ; Škerlíková, Tatiana (advisor) ; Jakoubek, Jiří (referee)
The thesis deals with the financial analysis of three photovoltaic power plants which were built in 2010 in the Czech Republic. The aim is to determine if are these companies financially healthy or not. Whether are able to meet their obligations and what was the solar tax impact on the profitability of individual investments.

New Energy Landscape: Spatial Delimitation Based on the Location of Selected Renewable Sources (Case Study Area - Czech Republic)
Nováková, Eva
The contribution deals with the definition and the spatial delimitation of the new energy landscape which has been described in the Czech Republic only in theory yet. The primary database was created by means of GIS analyses based on combination three layers with installations producing energy from renewable sources - wind power plants, biogas plants and photovoltaic power plants with production capacity over 5MW. On the basis of this layer were spatially delimited areas of influ ence of these devices, and thus the theoretical range of the new energy landscape. The result of this study brings new knowledge about spatial distribution of new energy landscapes on the territory of the Czech Republic. The article should be starting poin t for future scientific researches and discussions, which should help not only to the improvements and modifications of the original methodology, should support the improvement of the decision - making processes associated with spatial planning at the differ ent hierarchical levels (national, regional, local).
