Source authenticity and handling of photos in the printed newspapers MF Dnes and Lidové noviny

This Bachelor's thesis examines the topic of the change of photojournalism in the area of working with sources of photographs on title pages of printed journals in relation to the current standing of media both worldwide and in the Czech Republic. Its theoretical half introduces key concepts such as gatekeeping, agenda-setting, or reporter values, which affect the selection of media content during editorial routines. It then focuses on the field of photojournalism and the phenomena that change established standards due to the rise of the internet and digitisation. It specifies how the rise of participative journalism and multiskilling can change the work of photojournalists and in the end even the process of selecting a titular photograph. Afterwards, it describes the subject of study, which are the printed journals Mladá fronta and Lidové noviny. The practical half of the thesis then uses two methods to achieve valid findings. Quantitative content analysis is used to look at a research sample of photographs from title pages of the journal in three periods - years 2000, 2010, and 2019. Application for Images with GPS Position where It Was Taken

This bachelor's project deals with photograph position data. On the community website, users may upload digital photographs, comment on individual photographs and rate them based on precision of position. The thesis comprises theoretic information on EXIF, IPCT and GPX points of interest format. Technologies used for application development (including mainly Nette framework) are described in the thesis as well. Other sections focus on individual project development stages from analysis and application draft up to implementation and testing. The final section provides a brief description of existing similar solutions.

The purpose of this thesis is create application for online editation of static image. The main objective is user-friendly interface and simplicity. Basic graphic operations are available. The application allows you to create user accounts and the related ability to manipulate and share images. It is based on Adobe Flash and programming language ActionScript 3.0.

This beachelor's thesis is engaged in presentation of implementation of multimedia centre for GNU/Linux. The thesis begins with preambule summarized existing applications, operating systems, programming languages and current hardware. Another part analyses results of questionnare on the theme household multimedia. In the second part there is full presentation of kernel of the system, scheme of modules, vignette of operating system and short summary of testing procedure beeing in procedure of program creation. A brief summary judges results of the work and proposal of the next system development.

Use of photogrammetry expertise in the field of construction and real estate valuation

The task of this diploma thesis is to design and test the optimal procedures for taking photos to build a 3D model of a civic building using the programme PHOTOMODELER. Then to determine the specific dimensions of the civic building and compare them with the dimensions received with the help of the basic method of measurement in common building practice, i.e. the method of cross directions (using a tape or a telescopic measuring rod) and the geodetic method of measurement. After that to evaluate these measurements and make the conclusion concerning the accuracy or inaccuracy of measurements received with the help of the 3D model of the compiled programme PHOTOMODELER.

Adding Geographic Coordinates Based on Track Record to Photographs

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to fill photos metadata with geographic coordinates using a track record obtained from the GPS system. Besides the automated process, users are given the ability to modify or fill the data themselves through a map canvas with the recorded track. The goal is to implement simple user-friendly application for this purpose. The Application was created using the Java programming language and this allows for great multiplatform compatibility.

Optical Character Recognition at Camera Captured Images

We present solution of steps necessary for binarization and text lines detection contained in printed documents digitized by the camera. We introduce a normalization of non-uniform illumination method for text photographs. We propose input bitmap binarization algorithm based on two-dimensional probability pixel model which also considers its surrounding. We continue with description of robust text lines orientation detector based on optimization of risk function using first order derivatives of image function. In the end we present text lines detection and segmentation algorithm. Final shape of segmented lines is optimized with usage of graph algorithm. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
