The possibilities of use of a psychologist in prenatal psychoprophylactic care

The diploma thesis focuses on the possibilities of a psychologist in the process of psychoprophylactic care of the mother, or both expectant parents. The theoretical part is trying to define the term psychoprophylactic antenatal care and map the situation in terms of the important personalities in the field of antenatal psychoprophylactic care and in terms of its historical context. Furthermore, it attempts to define the tasks of antenatal psychoprophylactic care, introduce the structure of courses, and map the current situation in this field in the Czech Republic. The research project conducted examines the importance of the psychologist's role during the pregnancy of an expectant mother and in the field of the antenatal care for the foetus in a qualitative manner. It investigates both the needs and attitudes of pregnant women, especially in the third trimester, and experienced psychologists, concerned in the area by the selected method of the semi-structured interview.

Abstract Background: Satisfaction with perinatal care is largely a result of psychosocial aspects of the care provided. However, despite a considerable body of research, the concept of satisfaction with perinatal care is not sufficiently defined and understood, being often confused with other concepts, particularly with that of satisfaction with childbirth experience. The lack of knowledge concerns especially the psychosocial dimensions and determinants of the care, most importantly for different groups of women, and the level of importance of psychosocial factors for satisfaction compared to biomedical variables. Objective: The aim of the present dissertation is to contribute to the theory of satisfaction by investigating the psychosocial and biomedical factors that affect satisfaction with perinatal care and satisfaction with childbirth experience in different groups of women depending on the mode of delivery (vaginal delivery, emergency caesarean section or elective caesarean section). Changing the image of maternity hospital in the system of maternity care in the Czech republic

This theses deals with leading change in the specific organization, gynecologycal obstetrician department. The main aim of this theses is to evaluate leading of this change from the manager point of view and also to evaluate its sustainibility in the organization. I was focused on the research of the proces and execution of this specific change. It was the change from the clasiccal model of obsetrics to the respectfull model of obstetrics with using alternative methods and support of the natural birth. I used the qualitative research methods, patricipating observation. I created the summary of the proces of the change and underlined the found problematic parts from the field notes, interview and analysis of social networks. I managed to answer all asked questions and evaluate the process of change and its sustainability. At the end I offered a practical guide of the specific change as a tool for other organizactions. The right of a woman to decide on perinatal care

This thesis deals with the topic of providing perinatal care from the patient's point of view. The aim of the thesis is to use national legislation and decisions of Czech and international courts to determine under what conditions a woman has the right to decide on the provided health services. From the legal point of view the area of perinatal care brings many questions where it is not easy, also with regard to the ethical aspect of things, to find an answer. During the pregnancy and childbirth, there are situations in which two constitutionally guaranteed rights conflict and with regard to the health services provided, it is necessary to evaluate the situation individually. In the introductory chapters the thesis summarizes the legal regulation including the constitutional law of the provision of health services. Emphasis is placed on the rights of the patient, especially the possibility to decide on the provided health care in different situations. A separate chapter is devoted to the institute of previously expressed wish and its application to the period of delivery. In the context of postnatal care, the legal regulation of parents' decisions about the health services provided to their child is mentioned.
