Kollárová, Barbora ; Laufková, Veronika (advisor) ; Komberec, Filip (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The thesis focuses on the mediation of the theme of otherness in literature lessons in primary education. In the theoretical part, the basic concepts and topics related to otherness are described. Moreover, the methods of teaching literary education and the RWCT (Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking) program are presented there, together with the characteristics of literacy development. The first research question was also posed and answered in this section of the thesis. Literary genres and types of otherness were there classified according to the research and content analysis of literature for children and youth. Finally, a list of publications was written along with a description of otherness. From these publications, five titles (Strakáč a Tioni, Kamil neumí létat: pohádka o špačkovi knihomolovi, Kiko a tajemství papírového motýla, Jak voní týden and Pravidla skutečných ninjů) were selected for the preparation of the literary education lessons used in the practical part. In the practical part, the following lessons were prepared, implemented, and evaluated with the aim of familiarizing students with different types of otherness (multicultural and appearance differences, pupils with special educational needs, different family backgrounds and different interests or opinions) and...
Possibilities of integrating Art Education with the Czech Language and Literature Education
Kohl, Lukáš ; Fišerová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Fulková, Marie (referee)
The thesis deals with the possibilities of integrating art education and Czech language and literature education. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part both subjects are introduced. The chapters devoted to art education deal with the factors that may influence its position in Czech schools. These chapters also deal with the main areas that art education is focused on (fine arts and visual culture) and with the didactic approaches that can be applied in art education. The chapters about Czech language and literature education describe its three components (language education, literature education and communication and style education) and relate them to the content of art education. In the first section of the practical part of this thesis, specific school activities of an interdisciplinary nature are proposed. Also, general principles are suggested on the basis of which a teaching unit integrating art education with Czech language and literature education can be built. In the second section, a plan for a teaching unit on the topic of illustration is presented, followed by a record of two implementations of the planned teaching unit, in which pedagogical action research was carried out to improve and streamline future teaching. Reflection on the teaching...
Czech Catholic poets in the lessons of literature at high schools
Dolejší, Pavel ; Klumparová, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Hník, Ondřej (referee)
The purpose of this thesis is to examine methods, forms, and processes for presenting the lives and work of the Czech catholic poets Jan Zahradníček, Bohuslav Reynek, and Josef Kostohryz during high-school literature lessons. Furthermore, the objective is to propose ways of introducing the young generation of readers to catholic poetry as a source of existentialist questions pertaining to life and existence, deep personal experiences, and spirituality regardless of their individual religious beliefs and preferences. Since this thesis is primarily intended to serve as a tool for high-school teachers, the text contains an extensive section that describes the general aspects of the proposed didactic approach, where the aim is to facilitate orientation in the proposed concept on the one hand, and, on the other hand, to define the foregoing aspects because they constitute the basis of the concept. The concept chosen as a means for achieving the objectives of the thesis is based on the principles, teaching methods, and forms of innovative learning. Innovative learning is based on the constructivist model and on an approach to teaching literature that is based on readership, interpretation, and creativity, where focus concentrates on the active and independent work of students, receptive and productive...
