Balcárková, Markéta ; Hanyš Holemá, Irena (advisor) ; Ferklová, Alžběta (referee)
The diploma thesis is named "Methods and Techniques of Drama Education as a Tool for Inclusion of Pupils with a Different Mother Tongue." In the theoretical part, the issues of pupils with a different mother tongue are specified. Subsequently, I generally discuss drama education as a method of teaching and furthermore its specific methods and techniques, which can be used for the inclusion of a pupil with a foreign mother language. In the practical part, I name the most common difficulties in the inclusion of a pupil with a foreign mother language in the educational process and define the utilization rate of drama education in eliminating the issues mentioned in the previous part. In the research, I used a quantitative analysis, a structured questionnaire method, and qualitative experiments through semi-structured interviews. The questionnaire was answered by 42 respondents (pedagogical employees). The results of the questionnaire analysis indicate that the greatest difficulties are language barriers, cultural differences, and unfamiliarity with the environment. The drama education method is used by three-quarters of the respondents; however, only nine of them are applying the method as a tool for eliminating the most frequent difficulties when working with students with a foreign mother language. I...
Climate of a school class at a primary school
Kubíčková, Anna ; Hejlová, Helena (advisor) ; Nekardová, Barbora (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on the social climate in primary school classrooms. It aims to assess whether classroom teachers have an overview of the social climate in their classes. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part examines the social climate of the classroom and the school. Additionally, it deals with aspects of inclusion and integration in the educational environment, as well as classroom management strategies that influence the classroom social climate. In the practical part, teachers' characteristics of the climate in their class are compared with the results of climate examinations conducted in their classes. The research happened in three classrooms and combined qualitative and quantitative approach. Three instruments were used for data collection: a questionnaire, interviews, and a observation. During the research evaluation phase, the averaged student responses in the questionnaire were compared with the teachers' responses, and data triangulation was performed. The completed questionnaires were compared not only with each other, but with the teachers' characteristic of the classroom climate obtained through interviews and observations as well. The research findings indicate that the teachers' perceptions of the social climate in their...

Šmídová, Kateřina ; Novotná, Magdalena (advisor) ; Jakubcová Hajdušková, Lucie (referee)
The thesis explores the opportunities offered by art education in supporting the social relations amongst pupils with a different mother tongue. It investigates the potential of artistic practices of art education in promoting understanding among pupils; specifically in the integration of Ukrainian pupils who have come to class without prior knowledge of the Czech language. It shows the possibilities and limits of their visual communication with the environment. Pupils with a different mother tongue have still been a marginalized group in the Czech school environment. The thesis is looking for ways to improve this situation, in accordance with the chosen research methodology of a case study with elements of action research. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the author focuses on the legislative framework, which provides a context for the social inclusion of pupils with a different mother tongue. It emphasizes cultural competence, identity, and the newly emerging concept of well-being; examines the issue of social inclusion in the school environment and the broader context of inclusive education. The practical part of the thesis answers specific research questions regarding the role of creative activities in the integration of Ukrainian female pupils. The author characterizes the female pupils...
Social work with citizens from Ukraine who have temporary protection status in the Czech Republic
NOVÁKOVÁ, Marie
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of social work with Ukrainian citizens who came to the Czech Republic after the outbreak of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. The thesis contains a theoretical and practical part. The first chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the relations between Russia and Ukraine - it describes the situation after the independence of Ukraine and before the outbreak of the war in 2022. In the following chapters, the status of temporary protection, the characteristics of its users and the description of social work with refugees as a target group are presented. In this section, the needs of the target group, the principles of social work with refugee clients, the objectives of cooperation are introduced, and then the role of the social worker is defined, which should also be introduced to new clients with whom the worker establishes a relationship. The theoretical part is concluded with a chapter dealing directly with the social services that the target group can use with their status. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to research conducted with twelve Ukrainian refugees, which was carried out in cooperation with several institutions and services in České Budějovice. At the very beginning of the research, the issue of anonymity of the respondents proved to be crucial. Respondents often expressed concern that the answers would not be passed on to social service providers, for example, or could not be linked to the information they gave me - especially those expressing dissatisfaction or suggestions for improvement. Due to the specific nature of the research population, the specific names of organisations and service providers are not given in the thesis and a planned interview process was used with each respondent, particularly in terms of how responses were recorded. In particular, the research focused on whether and, if necessary, what social services this group of clients uses, whether they have sufficient awareness of their options in this area, what changes they would appreciate and what obstacles they most often encounter when cooperating with social services and during their everyday life.
Gemini
Kartal, Emina ; Nový, Vítězslav (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor thesis is inclusive architecture. The aim of the thesis is the design of the dormitory and reconstruction of the Gemini High School in the Lesná housing estate in Brno, together with the reconstruction of the school's surroundings. The high school plans to increase its current capacity and aims for inclusive education, which is reflected in the new design. The current conditions are already inadequate. In the past, the school management was constrained by the available options and adopted a building with a kindergarten layout together with a garden. As a result, the school operates on a limited footprint or in cramped quarters. The aim is to provide quality education for all without distinction. An education that will be combined with a pleasant stay for the students, in the airy spaces in the school or the school garden, or in the new boarding building. The proposal includes a sustainable design approach to ensure that the investor incurs fewer costs associated with operating a building that functions as an educational institution.

The role of assistant teacher in the education of pupils with different kindergartens at primary schools in the South Bohemian Region with a focus on Ukrainian pupils
DŘEVOVÁ, Pavla
The topic of the bachelor thesis focuses on supporting the education of pupils with a different mother tongue through a teaching assistant. The aim of the whole thesis is to analyse the role and importance of the teaching assistant in the education of pupils from Ukraine. The bachelor thesis is composed of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part consists of three chapters, which contain the basic theoretical insight into the mentioned issue. The first chapter is devoted to the basic characteristics of a pupil with a different mother tongue, its definition, legislative anchoring and the last part deals with language support. The second chapter focuses on inclusive education for pupils with a different mother tongue. The chapter will outline the support measures used for this group, the factors influencing their education and the specifics of pupils from Ukraine. The last chapter deals with the profession of teaching assistant. The chapter describes the legislation, qualification readiness, the scope of work activities of the teaching assistant and the cooperation between the teaching assistant and the teacher. The practical section examines the role of the teaching assistant and his/her support in the education of pupils from Ukraine. This section is conducted through a questionnaire survey, which is then complemented by semi-structured interviews with a teaching assistant and a teacher who have experience of teaching Ukrainian pupils. A total of 226 respondents took part in the survey. From the results, we learn about the work activities of the teaching assistant, the use of didactic aids and mutual cooperation in the education of pupils from Ukraine. The results based on the quantitative research were subsequently complemented through interviews with teaching staff. The bachelor thesis can serve to optimize the education of pupils with different mother tongues in primary schools.
Porušování jemnozrnného cementového kompozitu v blízkosti rozhraní plniva a matrice
Vyhlídal, Michal ; Kabele,, Petr (referee) ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Keršner, Zbyněk (advisor)
The Interfacial Transition Zone (ITZ) between the aggregate grain/reinforcement bar and the matrix is considered to be the weakest element in cementitious composites and is, according to some authors, directly responsible for the nonlinear (more precisely, quasi-brittle) behavior of the composites. The aim of this work is verification of the generally accepted paradigm of the weakest element by means of fracture experiments and corresponding numerical simulations. In the experimental part, in addition to traditional fracture tests, modern methods of 3D scanning, scanning electron microscopy, chemical analysis using an electron microprobe and nanoindentation were used. In the numerical part, models based on generalized linear elastic fracture mechanics as well as modern models intended for the simulation of cement composites, namely crack band model with smeared cracks and the Microplane model, were used. Based on the results, the numerical part was complemented by the Cohesive Zone Material model simulating the behavior of the interface. All results are discussed and put into context with already published work. The main conclusion of the work is that the properties of the ITZ do not have such an influence on the behavior of cement composites as the adhesion between the inclusion and the ITZ, i.e. the matrix.
