Economical LoRaWAN security device
Varhola, Oliver ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This master thesis contains a proposal of the solution for economical and energy saving security device with its communications part in a LoRaWAN network. Theoretical part of the thesis describes the most widespread LPWAN networks, i.e. the networks for low-power devices, such as NB-IOT based on LTE technology, Sigfox and LoRaWAN. Also briefly analyses security threats in case of the interference exploitation of the communication channel and describes LoRaWan security in detail. In the practical part there is hardware, power, mechanical solution implemented including the cover of the device. Realization of the software part covers, which types of events should be operated, power saving methods and mesage sending inverval are described. All requirements were implemented at application layer utilizing - LoRaWAN network server and virtual machine applications: MQTT broker, NoreRED, OpenHAB and cloud database InfluxDB with visualisation of the data in Grafana application.
MIDI sequencer for a musical instrument
Golian, Dominik ; Baštán, Ondřej (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
Music, as the universal language of humanity through which we express emotions, thoughts, experiences, undergoes continuous evolution, also thanks to technological advancement. This work focuses on one of the greatest technological milestones, the creation of MIDI. The scope of this work involves the development of a parallel MIDI system, which will interact with one of the musical instruments, either a metalophone or a mouth organ. The thesis includes the design and implementation of such a device.
Automation of the calibration process
Mařas, Michael ; Šedivá, Soňa (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the automation of the calibration process at the workplace for calibration of electronic power meters and the description of the method of evaluation of calibration results. The paper analyses the calibration workstation and the manual method of calibration performed by the calibration laboratory staff. Furthermore, proposals for automating the manual method of calibration and a description of the implementation of a program for automating this process are given. Subsequently, the uncertainty analysis is described in the paper. In this section, the uncertainty analysis according to the GUM method and the subsequent calculation of these uncertainties are presented. The correctness of the calculation of uncertainties according to the GUM method is verified by the Monte Carlo method. In the last part of the work, the method of evaluation of the calibration results according to ILAC-G8:09/2019 is described and the form of the calibration protocol is described.
IoT Application Deployment Platform
Hrvol, Marek ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this work is simplifying deployment of Internet of Things in households or smaller companies and also reducing the need of maintenance of created network.  Main goal of this web application is creating platform capable of deploying applications across ARM single-board computers. Moreover, application provides intuitive preview of all registered devices including its state, shows all the necessary data and informs user about failures on devices.
Comparison of measurement accuracy of optical and 3D kinematic system
Surkoš, Ondřej ; Adamík, Richard (referee) ; Kundera, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the accuracy of two instruments for measuring the vertical jump, using a different measuring principle, namely "Optojump next" and "BTS Smart DX". In the theoretical part, the individual devices are discussed, on what principle they work and are compared with each other. In the practical part we deal with the methodology, processing of measured data and evaluation of the results of measurements.
Device for measurement the air flow under the vehicle
Šilar, Josef ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
The target of this thesis is construction design of a device for measuring flow bellow a vehicle. To deep dive into the problem first there is theory of driving resistance, flow and aerodynamics followed by the practical part. Also it solves completion of CFD model to detect flow field bellow vehicle while using this device.
Multi-radio Tester Utilizing LoRaWAN and Narrowband IoT Communication Technologies
Novotný, Jaromír ; Štůsek, Martin (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
This Master thesis is focused on the design and consequential realization of the Multi-RAT communication device. The theoretical part describes a comparison of two promising communication LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) technologies that are available to use in the Czech Republic. These technologies are NB-IoT (NarrowBand-Internet of Things) and LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network). The practical part contains a description used components, their consequential fitting and testing of designed printed circuit board of the device. The thesis also describes the implementation of software and realized measurement. Technical documentation of a device can be found in the appendix of this thesis.
Application generating and verifying configurations of network devices
Korček, Juraj ; Tyrala, Radek (referee) ; Jeřábek, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this master's thesis is a design and implementation of a program for finding security and operational deficiencies of network devices and afterwards, resolving them by generating corrective configuration. Due to a lack of security and misconfiguration, there are a lot of devices exposed to the risk of a security incident. Therefore, the program compares settings with various standards, recommendations, and best practices and generates a report with findings. Afterwards, deficiencies can be eliminated by automatic resolution or manually if automatic resolving is not possible. The program uses regular expressions to find problem settings in previously exported configurations. Implementation is written in Python, and YAML markup language is used too. Another output of this thesis is a checklist, which can be used for the creation of future modules for support of other network device vendors and thus extend the program.
Design of Device for Vehicle Steering Stiffness Measurement
Švagera, Pavel ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The Master´s thesis deals with the design of device for vehicle steering stiffness measurement. In the first part were shown the most famous design solution of steering systems and basic parameters of steering geometry. The next part of the thesis is about design of the device which is using power screw. The final part of the thesis is dedicated to analysis of the most important errors which may arise during the measurement.
Design of Lacquer Thickness Meter
Rzyman, Michal ; Sládek, Josef (referee) ; Rubínová, Dana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a device designed to measure the thickness of the paint. The aim of the thesis is to design a device that is visually attractive and has a well-designed ergonomics. The result of the work is a hand-held device that comes out of the shape of a pen. The grip parts are designed from soft plastic and the buttons are appropriately spaced. The whole device is designed in an elegant shape inspired by the automotive industry. Particular benefits for this area can be, above all, these things. Compact shaping, using the latest technology, namely USB type C, electronic gyroscope or Transreflex LCD display. The overall benefit of the work is a different new look at the traditional design and the whole concept of measuring devices.
