Polynomial Chaos Expansion for assessment of tunnel linings
Křížek, Michael ; Novák, Drahomír (referee) ; Novák, Lukáš (advisor)
The study presents the application of polynomial chaos expansion (PCE) methodology for the uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analysis within the realm of predictive modeling. Its principal objective is to optimize the PCE methodology for a specific dataset and subsequently assess the resultant outcomes. These outcomes will be compared with those obtained through the Monte Carlo method to ascertain the comparative precision of the PCE methodology. To execute the requisite computations essential for data analysis, modules sourced from the UQpy project were employed. The dataset comprised 86 discrete points constituting a 2D cross-section of a tunnel. Each point encapsulated 1000 input measurements, wherein each measurement involved five uncertain variables. Static moments and Sobol indices were computed for each data point. In terms of result validation, the PCE error will be ascertained via cross-validation and analytical validation error computation, and both methodologies will be juxtaposed for comparison. Result validation will be delineated through alignment with reference data, alongside cross-validation and robustness analysis.

In the second part, the strategic and financial analysis of the selected company is compiled. The last part is devoted to the draft of the financial plan. Afterwards, a sensitivity analysis and evaluation of the plan has been done.
Economic Evaluation of Acquisition Project
Nechvátal, Marek ; Klíma, Jaroslav (referee) ; Režňáková, Mária (advisor)
The diploma thesis focuses on the economic evaluation of the company acquisition project using methods of discounted cash flow, net present value and discounted payback period. The theoretical part of the thesis uses comprehensive view on modern methods of strategic and financial analysis, financial planning strategy and investment decision-making methods. The second half of the work contains practical part of strategic and financial analysis, calculated cost of equity, weighted average cost of capital and economic evaluation of the acquisition project itself.
Valuation of Economic Risk of Investor in Realization of Investment Project
Rusínová, Alena ; Dvořáčková, Šárka (referee) ; Hromádka, Vít (advisor)
This thesis is focused on assessing the economic risk for the investor in the implementation of the investment project. An investor's decision on the implementation of the project depends on the economic feasibility analysis identified outputs, these outputs are burdened by economic uncertainty, which raises the risk. Therefore, it is necessary to manage risk. The process of risk management consists of a phase of risk analysis and risk management phase. In the analysis phase is to identify risks, assessments of materiality and risk measurement. In the phase of risk management risks identified evaluate and establish measures to prevent their occurrence or impact.
Stable feasibility of a multifunctional building in Humpolec
Kulík, Matěj ; Sladký, Michal (referee) ; Kocourková, Gabriela (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to prepare a feasibility study of a multifunctional house in Humpolec and to evaluate the profitability of the project in the first 30 years of its operation. The evaluation of the project includes an initial financial analysis and two other possible situations. The theoretical part defines the basic information about the division of construction contract, the process of preparation and implementation of the project, types of financing investment projects, economic indicators and analyzes. In the practical part are given basic information multifunctional object. This is the site of construction, the character of the proposed building, including its planned use, financing and the three types of scenarios already mentioned. This is the baseline scenario, the optimistic scenario and the pessimistic scenario. At the end of the thesis there will be evaluated all investigated situations.
Investment Risk Management of Construction Project
Pluháčková, Darinka ; Vaňková, Lucie (referee) ; Korytárová, Jana (advisor)
The goal of this paper is to evaluate economic efficiency of a development project, including sensitivity and probability analysis of selected residential development project. In theoretical part, the term "development project" is explained and project lifecycle is described. In this part there is also mentioned, how cash flow is determined, how cash flow report is created, and how economic efficiency indicators are calculated. It also describes specific risks of a development project. In the end of theoretical part, possible risk identification and evaluation methods are described. Practical part is focused on an actual development project. It evaluates the project using economic efficiency indicators, sensitivity analysis and probability analysis.
