The puppet theater building in the center of Opava
Křížková, Marie ; Štěpán, Marek (referee) ; Galeová, Nicol (advisor)
How will the new theatre building affect the city centre? The proposal explores one option where the existing puppet theatre could be relocated. The aim of the project was to find a proportionate scale of building that would provide a dignified space for the puppet theatre to operate, whilst also offering space around it. A space that, while closely intertwined with the theatre, also opens up to people who are not currently playing the social role of theatre-goers.
The puppet theater building in the center of Opava
Barteková, Ester ; Štěpán, Marek (referee) ; Sládeček, Svatopluk (advisor)
The building of the puppet theatre in the centre of Opava is significant for its location and function. One of my goals was therefore to create a building with a distinctive character that will serve as a symbol of the entranceway to the city centre. As it encroaches on the land on which the Silesian Theatre building stands, my aim was to help this theatre in its design and to improve the condition of its not entirely satisfactory operating space. Outside the performance space, the theatre events create an opportunity for discussion, for sharing ideas that have no place in the normal daily routine. The project appeals to promote the aspect of perceiving the theatre as a modern agora.
The puppet theater building in the center of Opava
Šebora, Viliam ; Palacký, Ivan (referee) ; Galeová, Nicol (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is the design of a new home for the Opava puppet theatre in the centre of this historic city, based on its urban structure and historical context. The building also replaces the existing facilities of the Slezské divadlo (Silesian Theatre) with new spaces that meet the current needs of theatrical professionals. Thus, a new smaller alternative and puppet stage with a direct link to the historic theatre is being created right in the city centre, reinterpreting not only the structure of the city but also the theatre itself.

Mojžíšová, Petra ; Palacký, Ivan (referee) ; Galeová, Nicol (advisor)
The project presents an architectural and urbanistic solution for the redevelopment of the operational part of the Silesian Theatre and a new building of a town house with a theatre in the western part of the Horní náměstí in Opava. The main idea of the work is the connection of two subjects - the professional Silesian Theatre and the new building with a hall for amateur theatre and a children's centre. The use of the existing public space is motivated by the general idea of densification of the urban structure and concentration of culture in the city centre. I consider the addition of another functions to the monoblock of theatre to be reasonable, both in terms of sustainability and adaptation, and in terms of community.

Šustová, Kateřina ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Blažková, Tereza (referee)
Legal Aspects of the changes in theater industry in Czechoslovakia After World War II After World War II (in May 1945), Czechoslovakian theaters were reopened. The so-called theater revolution began, during which the theater industry in Czechoslovakia experienced fundamental changes in organizational structure. Despite the efforts of Austria-Hungary and the First Czechoslovak Republic, this space was still regulated by the Theater Act of November 25, 1850 (Ministry of the Interior law No. 454/1850). There were also plans to consolidate the regulation of the theater industry in Czechoslovakia, as Hungarian legal article XXXI had been in effect since 1848 in Slovakia. This was a different (and even older) legal regulation than the one in Bohemia. This work explores the legal considerations of the aforementioned reorganization of theaters. The main goal of the research is to describe how the pre-World War II regulatory environment affected the evolution of theater industry regulation thereafter, including mapping out any significant path dependencies. A comparative analysis of individual provisions was used to address the research question of how the Theater Act of 1948 differed from previous legislation and historical drafts of theater regulations. This work subsequently addresses the regulatory...
