Shock severity comparison using Shock Response Spectrum and Pseudo-Velocity Shock Spectrum in LabVIEW
Štěrba, Radek ; Pikula, Stanislav
This article deals with the comparison of Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and Pseudo Velocity Shock Spectrum (PVSS). Publicly available data as well as values from an implemented experiment are used. The experiment consisted of acquisition of accelerations when a model car hit various braking pads. The data was recorded and evaluated in LabVIEW and for this purpose the PVSS needed to be implemented in same programing environment. The results show that the impact severity rating can be seen from SRS as well from PVSS, but on the 4CP paper the results are much easier to spot.
Program for analysis and comparison of shocks
Štěrba, Radek ; Beneš, Petr (referee) ; Pikula, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the analysis of shocks using the Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and Pseudo Velocity Shock Spectrum (PVSS) methods. The first part of the thesis describes the theory of both methods including the assessment of shock severity and compares their availability in programming environments. The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a program in LabVIEW to evaluate shock data using these methods. The program in LabVIEW allows the use of Matlab or Python to calculate and plot SRS and PVSS. Based on the plotted graphs, the severity of the impacts is assessed. In the practical part, an experiment is performed with the impacts of a model car on different brake pads. The results of the severity of the available impact data such as earthquake or punching bag as well as the data obtained from the experiment are summarized in the last section.
Portugal elderly home
Keblovská, Lucie ; Wolf, Petr (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the design of a house for the elderly in Barreira, Portugal. The building is designed to accommodate vital elderly people who do not need round-the-clock nursing care and, in addition, the building offers the possibility of cultural and educational use for the public. The site in question is located on the outskirts of the town in a quiet neighbourhood of family houses with a connection to vehicular and public transport. It is also connected to a pedestrian road leading to the city centre. Access to the site is designed both on the western side, where it directly connects to the main road, and on the eastern side, where a secondary road runs along the site. The site slopes steeply to the east and the property is therefore largely set into the ground. The main idea of the design is "a house interspersed with nature". The three main materials - green steel , light coloured plaster and oak wood - are complemented in many places by plants and trees that are close to Portugal, such as olive trees, lavender, etc. The whole building is embedded in the ground so as not to appear massive from the street and this, among other things, achieves a moment of surprise when entering the building. At the main entrance, the building appears unobtrusive, enclosed and extends from one edge of the property to the other. From the lower road, however, it is possible to see the building in its 'full glory', because at that moment it opens out into the landscape and one can observe the action on the galleries. From the eastern path one can see the three floors and the garden between them. Life in the building is thus cut off from the main road and provides beautiful views. The building is designed to clearly distinguish between public, semi-public and private space. In the layout, emphasis is placed on ensuring privacy for the residents even though the building is open to the public. The U-shaped layout offers a great opportunity to place the client accommodation units at the foot of the building, where they are afforded privacy and quiet, with public spaces in the central part of the building for meeting and socialising. With a central entrance directly adjacent to the social spaces, the public does not have to walk through the building to reach these spaces, and it is the residential units that are located away from the main entrance that offer privacy and quiet. The courtyard between the residential tracts offers part outdoor seating, part herb garden and/or ornamental garden. It is also directly connected to ramps leading to a separate chapel building. The chapel has a rectangular plan and is set into the ground so that its roof is loosely connected to the surrounding terrain. The entire complex is designed to be wheelchair accessible, whether it is the entrance doors or interior doors, landscaping or evacuation
Seismic test of the switching devices on the low voltage
Dubský, Martin ; Mikyska, Kamil (referee) ; Dostál, Lukáš (advisor)
This work analyzes the seismic tests to valid technical starnards. Here is explained the term technical standard and written summary requirements for seismic resistance circuit breakers low voltage. The work includes devices suitable for the purpose and extreme laboratories dealing with seismic tests. The final section provides a draft test station with estimated economic return. Seismic tests are a very important part in the design of not only switching technology. It allows you to simulate the selected mechanical effects which may on the unit during operation or transportation to work and increase its reliability.
Impact hammer calibration
Bilík, Šimon ; Klusáček, Stanislav (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The theoretical part of this thesis focus on the description of the piezoelectric accelerometers and their use for the impact measurements. It also characterizes the construction and the calibration process of the impact hammers with the use of the piezoelectric accelerometers. The practical part describes the place of calibration with the calibration tools, identifies the source of the oscillations on the output signal of the accelerometer and suggests its compensation. Part of the thesis is a service program for the impact measurement, analysis and the impact hammer calibration. Thesis also describes the methodology of the calibration and quantifies the measurement uncertainty.
The Development of High Frequency High Voltage Test Sources
Talaš, Pavel ; Bartošík, Tomáš (referee) ; Krbal, Michal (advisor)
This Bachelor´s thesis deals with the high frequency source of high voltage. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with high voltage sources for the historical site, supplemented by basic characteristics. Special attention is paid to TC (Tesla Coil). In the second part is made mathematical concept of a Tesla coil.
Motocross Motorcycle Rear Suspension
Křivánek, Tomáš ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The rear suspension of the motorcycle fundamentally influences the driver's handling, safety and comfort. It is important to address the issue of rear suspension. The bachelor thesis describes various structural arrangements of the linkage, the function of the rear shock, the spring with the coil and the air spring. It compares the characteristics of the linkage in two specific motorcycles.
On the edge : social intervention in contemporary art and culture
Peroutková, Pavla ; Fulková, Marie (advisor) ; Sedlák, Michal (referee)
The Final work of the Bachelor degree 'On the edge' deals with the theme of social intervention and the use of the body in contemporary art and culture. It investigates concrete likenesses of these expressions in the edge of art, primarily in the Czech art scene and searches for its predesessors in the art of the twentieth century. The artistic part represents realised projects and inspired chosen works. The third part is comprised of evaluated questions, investigations into the relationship Basic school students have with contemporary art and a proposal for the possible exploitation of the explored approaches to work in artistic projects for older students of Basic schools.
