Community social work and its use in working with a Roma target group
KAIPROVÁ, Eliška
The topic of my bachelor thesis is community social work and its use in working with the Roma target group. The aim of my thesis is to find out how social workers use community work. I have divided my thesis into a theoretical part and a research part. In the first part, the research part, I tried to describe and explain the basic concepts related to the topic in a professional way, and in the second part, which was written inn the spirito f qualitative research, I prepared questions for a semi-strustured interview, through which I wanted to fulfil the aim of my thesis and answer the main research question: How specifically do social workers use community social work with the target Roma group? The methodology for the bachelor thesis was qualitative data collection, where I used the interview methodand the semi-structured interview technique. I selected the community social workers using the quota selection method and the chosen quotas are as follows: the interviewee has been working in direct care with the client for at least half a year and is willing to cooperate in the research. The results of the research show that social workers emphasize individuality and treat each client as unique and try to support them. It also emerged that they do not differentiate them in any way from the majority society and approach them with humility, without prejudice and stereotypes. This work can serve as a better insight into community work with the Roma group.

Niková, Adriána
This bachelor thesis's goal is to map out different approaches to evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of inclusive projects and programs while taking their financial resources into account. The most effective and efficient projects in Slovakia and in the Czech Republic were selected based on an extensive research of theoretical knowledge and qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews with experts in the field of inclusion. Main principles of these projects were also identified. Thanks to the analysis of project documentation and all other necessary sources, the effectiveness along with the efficiency of these selected projects were evaluated. All the acquired knowledge was subsequently used to form recommendations concerning the improvement of both the efficiency and effectiveness of selected projects, while also forming the basis for my own original project proposal.

Závodská, Milada ; Červenka, Jan (advisor) ; Mann, Arne (referee) ; Spurný, Matěj (referee)
This thesis focuses on the manuscript entitled The Violin and the Horse, and pursues two approaches: one is based on the Romani studies, the other on the methods of the history science. Its aim is to verify historical facts contained in the manuscript. The main presumption of the thesis is the attribution of the text to Rudolf Daniel - the thesis verifies autobiographical data and its cultural and social context. The paper systematically concentrates on the figure of Rudolf Daniel (born 1911 in Oslavany - died in 1978 in Brno) and his biography (entirely unknown so far). The context of the manuscript The Violin and the Horse is framed by the post-war Roma ethno-emancipatory movement, and Rudolf Daniel is a newly discovered figure of its history. Keywords: the Roma, horse trade, the Holocaust, ethno-emancipatory movement, history of the Roma

Hofman, Patrik ; Jeřábek, Hynek (advisor) ; Jozová, Magdalena (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore the phenomenon of social exclusion in the context of the historical military fortress Josefov, now a part of the town of Jaroměř. It is a qualitative case study exploring the symptoms of social exclusion and stigmatization in this area. For this purpose, semi-structured in-depth interviews with young residents of Josefov and representatives of Jaroměř institutions are conducted. The results of the work showed that social exclusion is reflected mainly among the Roma part of population. The condition of buildings in Josefov is related to the theory of broken windows, whose effects promote social exclusion and territorial stigmatization. It has been found that young people living in Josefov have mixed feelings towards their place of residence, experiencing mostly negative reactions from the surrounding communities. The stigma of an excluded locality prevents the full integration of Roma residents into the broader social framework and reinforces the spiral of social exclusion. The final part of the study emphasises the need to destigmatise Josefov. The findings thus suggest that addressing the problems associated with social exclusion requires a comprehensive approach that reflects the specifics of a particular area and requires changes in the perception of...
