Petra Kolářová Étienne Decroux (1898 1991) : "The Portrait of a Mime as a Sculptor" The Portrayal of a Body at the Intersection of Scenic and Fine Arts Summary : The thesis main subject is Etienne Decroux, the father of corporeal mime. The main objective is to show that Decroux draws on both theatre and sculpture, thus conceiving his art of mime as the mobile statuary. On the one hand, he takes up the concept of mask put forward by Jacques Copeau and Edward Gordon Craig's uber marionnette, transposing both concepts directly to the body. On the other hand, he embodies the pathos formulas observed in the statues. Decroux was heavily inspired by Augustus Rodin's sculptures in order to represent the body on stage. Moreover, Decroux conceives the body as a series of images which unfold before the audience. Web Traffic Data Export to MAFF

The goal of this bachelor thesis was to get acquainted with the principles of transmission, storage and re-visualisation of web traffic. The next part lied with the design and realization of the module for the reconstruction and exporting of the web traffic contents. This module allows to assemble the websites acquired from the captured web communication. It also allows to visualize such websites. The outputs of the module are made through the archival format MAAF, which serves to store web pages for the option of later display. The basic validation of the module functionality was done using test sets.

Email is one of the most used services on the Internet. It's hard to find a user with less than one own mailbox. These mailboxes are usually located on servers controlled by someone else than mailbox owners. Users trying to create their own email serverhave to install unix system and go through hard configuration process of the email server. Purpose of this work is to familiriaze reader with email history and protocols and then introduce design and implementation of an email server with easy configuration for Windows NT platform.

The Alfred Jarry Pantomime

The aim of this diploma thesis is to employ a theatrological approach to the work of one of the most original and influential Czech pantomime troupes of all time, entitled Pantomima Alfreda Jarryho (the Alfred Jarry Pantomime, AJP). The company was established in 1966 in Prague by two young mime artists Boris Hybner and Ctibor Turba and existed as late as the political liquidation of the troupe in 1972 that came due to the process of the so-called normalization period in the former Czechoslovakia. The thesis consists of four major parts that are divided into several subsections. The first part deals with the historical contexts of the art of mime, both international and domestic. The AJP troupe represents the second generation of Czech pantomime that refused the style of the so-called modern pantomime expressed in the international context by Marcel Marceau and in the Czech context by Ladislav Fialka at the Theatre Na zábradlí (Theatre on the Balustrade). Since there is no monograph strictly based on this theatre, although it played a major role among the newly established small theatres in the sixties (and had an important influence on the poetics of the AJP troupe), we briefly introduce the poetics of both the pantomime company led by Fialka and the drama company led by the director Jan Grossman,...
