Critical Evaluation of concrete MNE’s CSR as a competitiveness factor

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je kritická analýza strategie společenské odpovědnosti (CSR) firmy Lush Cosmetics Limited (Lush) a objevení vztahu mezi CSR aktivitami a konkurenceschopností. Teoretická část práce představuje teorie soutěže a koncept společenské odpovědnosti. Následuje diskuze studií vztahu dlouhodobé konkurenceschopnosti firmy and složek CSR. Analytická část zjišťuje CSR aktivity společnosti Lush pomocí hybridu Porterovy analýzy hodnotového řetězce a obsahové analýzy hlavních komunikačních kanálů společnosti. Teoretické závěry z první kapitoly posloužily jako základ pro konstrukci online dotazníkového šetření na téma zákaznické percepce CSR a společnosti Lush. Autor kriticky hodnotí CSR strategii Lushe, diskutuje průsečíky mezi CSR, zákazníky a konkurenceschopností, a taktéž poukazuje na možná zlepšení.
Communication Strategy Regarding to CSR in THIMM Obaly Company

This diploma thesis gives a comprehensive survey of the CSR concept in corporate strategy in the limited partnership company THIMM Obaly. Theoretical bases are included. The existing communication level of CSR activities is analyzed and evaluated for the purposes of this thesis. The end result represents proposal of communication strategy that make CSR more efficient to the company benefit.
Business Ethics in Business Organizations

This thesis is focused on application of business ethics in business organizations. Theoretical part is concentrate on basic concepts related to business ethics and also to social responsibility of companies. In the empirical part I used questionnaire to determine how examined companies implement this business ethics and in the end of my thesis I suggested recommendation how they could improve it.
Determinants of pro-environmental behavior among students

This thesis deals with determinants of pro-environmental behaviour among students and graduates of Czech universities. According to many scientists from all over the world, humanity must change its behaviour towards the environment otherwise it may face catastrophic consequences of global warming. Unfriendly environmental behaviour is a significant contributor to climate change. On the basis of research on determinants of pro-environmental behaviour, it should be possible to identify which factors positively influence pro-environmental behaviour. Ultimately, it should be possible to establish methods that could encourage environmentally friendly behaviour. The primary aim of this thesis is to identify how selected determinants influence the pro-environmental behaviour of Czech university students and graduates. Based on these findings, recommendations for companies should be formulated in order to increase the pro-environmental behaviour of Czech university students and graduates. The secondary objective of this thesis is to determine whether business CSR activities influence students' job-seeking decisions and to establish recommendations for companies. This thesis first explains the theoretical background of pro-environmental behaviour and its determinants. The findings from this section are then applied in the practical part of this thesis, which involves the evaluation of a questionnaire survey with 232 valid respondents. The aim of this thesis was achieved by examining self-determination theory and social interaction theory concerning pro-environmental behaviour. Recommendations for businesses were developed to increase pro-environmental behaviour of students and graduates. Finally, areas and activities of corporate social responsibility were found, which influence the decision-making of the research subjects in their choice of employer. These results provide the basis for establishing recommendations for companies to increase their attractiveness in the labour market.
Comparison of the methods of the social responsibility (CSR). The example of 3 commercial companies, GEFCO ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA s.r.o., Dalkia a.s., ABB,a.s.

In my theses I focus on analysis of three international private market companies. Company GEFCO ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA s.r.o. , Dalkia a.s. a ABB a.s. With this companies I'm interested in the way how they practice corporate social responsibility (CSR). When I was choosing this companies I considered facts as: Company has to have head quarter in Western Europe Company has to have experience with corporate social responsibility and has to practice CSR and has to organize social responsible activities. All chosen companies are leaders in its business sector. In my theses I will focus on overview about CSR activities of companies, mainly on corporate philanthropy. I will focus on cooperation of these companies and non government organization, I'm interested in concrete activities done by NGOs in cooperation with through CSR and how NGOs perceived activities that are done through CSR. I'm interested in the way how companies involve their employees into CSR. I 'm going to aim if subsidiaries and head quarters practice same CSR activities and using same CSR tools. I'm also interested in the role of CSR in marketing strategy of these companies. Vojtěch SEVERÝN Prague, 2012 ABSTRACT Title: Proposal and implementation of communication plan for charity Auction of ice- hockey jerseys and other original items Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to propose a project of the charity Auction of ice-hockey jerseys and the other original items with focus on the proposal, analysis and evaluation of efficiency of the communication plan. Methods: The whole thesis is designed as a case study. The efficiency of the communication plan is measured on a visits of microsite created for this project and also on a visits of the individual auctions. The yield of the auction is also an indicator of the efficiency. The project and also the implementation of communication activities were held from 7. 5. to 17. 5. 2012, and in the same time the monitoring of attendance was under way. Some indicators are compared to the period before the project started. Results: We found what communication tools were suitable for such a project, what tools were useless, if the timing of communication actions were right or wrong. Based on "behaviour" of the audience we proposed some options for developing of this project. The results of the measurement prove that although the total attendance was positive, the yield of the auction was...

National awards for corporate social responsibility.

Topic of this bachelor´s thesis is the award for corporate social responsibility. In the theoretical part, I will focus on defining corporate social responsibility, organizations supporting this concept and national awards given under this concept. First chapter of the theoretical section focuses on the development, definition and benefits for all stakeholders. Second chapter summarizes the most important organizations, that are involved not only in developing this concept, but also in announcing some of the awards. Third chapter briefly describes selected prizes for social responsibility, including National CSR Prize of the Czech republic. The subject of the practical part is a detailed analysis of the evaluation of the National CSR Prize and its subsequent comparison with selected foreign awards in this area. After the comparison of individual awards, the practical part also includes proposals and recomendations for the future of National award for CSR and SD in the Czech Republic.
