Marketing communication of Divadlo Na zábradlí in 2010-2011 theatre season

The thesis is an analysis of the marketing comunnication of Divadlo Na zábradlí in the theatre season 2010-2011. In its first part I try to refer to the meaning of the theatre in the society and to adumbrate its secondary roles, that can play. The thesis also shows the main specifics of marketing communication in the culture environment or in the area of theatre. The thesis contains detailed analysis of particular tools of cummunication and their use in Divadlo Na zábradlí. The communication it devided into several groups according to different recipients of the message. Because of the need for implanting the results of marketing communication to wider context and to make the analysis relevant, the thesis also contains comparative analysis of selected aspects of marketing communication of the five of Prague theatres chosen because of resemblances in their repertoires. I have chosen Švandovo divadlo, Divadlo v Dlouhé and Studio Ypsilon (theatres of the same statute as Divadlo Na zábradlí) and Dejvické divadlo and Divadlo Komedie (theatres that are allready transformed). At the end of the thesis there is an evaluation of marketing communication and a proposal of severeal steps that can help to aliminate identified deficiencies in the communication.
Arts marketing and Communication of Prague City Gallery

The bachelor thesis Art Marketing and Communication of Prague City Gallery is focused on the development in the field of art marketing and possibilities of its use mainly within the institution of gallery or art museum. It refers to the reciprocity of arts and marketing practice and defines the inter-connection in the field of art(s) marketing. The thesis uses marketing, media and cultural studies theories. It provides an insight into the historical evolution and improvement of the field of art marketing and reflects upon the tendencies of academic research and literature. The second part deals with a case study, which describes and evaluates communication activities of Prague City Gallery in the years of 2016 and 2017. The specific environment, in which the gallery operates, is defined and the subject is described as a cultural institution and cultural product situated within it, enriched by its new visual style and identity.

Management of Professional Ensembles Engaged in Historically Informed Performance of Early Music

This thesis is focused on current situation in historically informed performance of early music. The aim of the thesis is to describe this issue from a theoretical and practical perspective. First, the thesis focuses on the definition of historically informed performance and its development. Below it is mentioned the theory of management in cultural organizations. The practical part of the thesis is a descriptive analysis of professional ensembles Collegium 1704 and Collegium Marianum which describes its overall functioning. In the conclusion are mentioned not only answers at research question, but also there is expressed an attempt of prediction of future development of these ensembles with the entire field of historically informed performance. For this thesis were used information from professional publications, articles and other publicly available data and also from expert interviews with managers of ensembles, who also provided many internal documents.
Analysis of Management of Leading Orchestras in Prague

This bachelor work deals with the problems of management of the leading Prague orchestras. It explains the words management and art management.The work characterizes types of different non-profit organizations, which include most orchestras and their financial planning. It also deals with organizational structures used in these organizations. The goal of this work is survey of common and different features in management in concrete orchestras coming from their various legal forms. Another goal is comparison of functional, economic and personnel indices. The work should be used as the source of information for those who are interested in this topic regarding the limit of sources connected with management of orchestras. At the same time it should be inspiration for current orchestra managers who could find there a comparison with other orchestras management.
Arts Management - Marketing Strategy of Symphony Orchestra (Prague Youth Philharmonic)

Goal of this diploma thesis is to create a marketing strategy of the Prague Youth Philharmonic symphony orchestra including marketing concept definition, audience research and marketing communication project. The marketing strategy proceeds from internal and external SWOT analysis of the subject. Theoretical part of the thesis deals with classical marketing theory and its use in arts management praxis. It focuses on strategic marketing and its instruments.
The impact of different management approaches on directing, programming and financing of the Tyl Theatre in the town of Kutná Hora

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to consider and reflect different approaches to management in the field of culture, theatre in particular. This thesis also tries to find positives and negatives of these approaches. In the theoretical part, which is patterned on expert publications dealing with this topic, there are outlined some basic management elements and procedures with emphasis on connection with theatre management and specific conditions of functioning of a theatre institution with a good managing director. The theoretical part also deals with the field of arts marketing (marketing mix, internal and external environment of an organization) along with given examples. The practical part describes and compares two different approaches to management of Tyl Theatre in the town of Kutná Hora, analyses past and current running of this regional theatre and the potential solution is found in a compromise and respect to various opinions and their joining together.
Project management in culture: the international exhibition

The topic of the thesis is project management in the cultural organizations. The general levels of this topic are desribed in the theoretical part. This part analysis the sphere of the contemporary Czech cultural institutions, their cooperation and their position between the traditional roles and the modern management. Specific aspects of the project management for the exhibition project are also described. The aim of the analytical part is to describe and analyse the concrete project of the exhibition "Tschechische Fotografie des 20. Jahrhunderts" (Czech Photography of 20th Century) in Bonn (organised in the international cooperation of two different cultural organizations), to analyse the project processes, strenghts and risks and to give some recommendations to the project. The key topic for all these aspects is the coordination or synchronisation of the organizators and the positive aspects and complications of this cooperation.
