Rolková, Julia ; Schneidrová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Fauknerová Matějčková, Jana (referee)
Aim: The aim of this study was to summarize the current evidence on the outlined topic in the theroretical part and in the practical part explorethe level of knowledge of breastfeeding women about nutrition during lactation and the effect of breastfeeding mother's nutrition on the quality of breast milk (BM). Methodology: Data was collected in April-May 2024 using an anonymous online questionnaire designed by Google Forms and distributed through social networking sites and discussion forums. The questionnaire was designed exclusively for adult breastfeeding women. A total of 368 responses were obtained. Results: The survey revealed that 55 % of women use the internet as their main source of information about the breastfeeding mother's nutrition. It was also found that women 91 % of respondents know about the effect of nutrition of breastfeeding mother on the quality of BM. Less than 50 % of breastfeeding mothers correctly answered at least 80 % questions. It was also confirmed that mothers with higher education (higher professional and university) have better knowledge about nutrition and its effect on BM quality than mothers with lower education (primary and secondary) (p = 0.008). Conclusion: Due to the problematic reliability of information on the Internet, it is advisable to provide mothers with...

Šlais, Miroslav ; Spišák, Emil (referee) ; prof. Ing. Milan Turňa, Ph.D., EWE, IWE (referee) ; Forejt, Milan (advisor)
The PhD thesis deals with the influence of temperature and strain rate on the mechanical behaviour of the Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy. After verification tests under static loading conditions, the samples were deformed at high strain rates and elevated temperatures, using device for Hopkinson pressure bar test. The result is dependence of stress and strain rate on strain in the temperature range of 20 to 500°C. The deformed shape of specimen from the Taylor anvil test is compared with the results of the simulation in the Ansys – LS Dyna software. The parameters of Johnson-Cook equation were determined from these experiments. Also, the influence of loading conditions on the microstructure was studied. Both optical and scanning electron microscopes were used for the observations. During the research, some adjustments to the experimental devices were made in order to suppress the high-frequency components and noise in the recorded pulses. A functional tensile test adapter for the Hopkinson test was developed; it is registered under No. 2007/008 at the Technology Transfer Office of BUT.
Solution technology with cutting operation of cover part
Veselý, Kamil ; Mouralová, Kateřina (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This thesis was worked out on the basis of the long term experience with hydraulic cylinders of the tractor equipment for the skidding type: MA6-008. It was prepared and introduced a new production technology of the cover of the hydraulic cylinder which is modified in such a way that it is possible to use the present parts of the hydraulic cylinder. As basic material was designed the steel No.:11353. The production technology was prepared for two variants. First variant means serial production of 100.000 pieces per year out of thick-walled tube. The other variant means piece production of two parts out of the rod. It was achived reduction of the necessary time of disassembling while the lifetime of the cylinder was prolonged thanks to the new design of the cover of the hydraulic cylinder.

The aim of the methodology is to present methods for quantifying the impacts of projected climate change on the water balance when applying adaptation measures in the Czech Republic for the next few decades. Adaptation measures should contribute to the sustainability of the water balance in all major user segments of water use and management in the basin. The main principle is the use of hydrological models to transform climate change scenarios into time series of hydrological conditions and to quantify the overall water balance of the basin using different types of adaptation measures and their implementation over time. Special emphasis is placed on the evaluation of combinations of adaptation measures that cannot be analysed by simplified methods. The methodology is designed to search for the optimal combination of adaptation measures in the assessed catchment. The proposed approach eliminates the shortcomings of effectiveness assessment from the perspective of the exclusive user of the water resource, as the evaluation of the effectiveness of adaptation measures is carried out in the form of a multi-criteria analysis of the evaluation of the outputs of the simulation model for predicting the water balance in the whole basin. This methodology can be used to assess different adaptation measures in all basic segments of water users: agriculture, forestry, energy, water management and others.

Ongoing climate change is causing a global increase in air temperature. While this is leading to an acceleration of the global hydrological cycle, and therefore a global increase in precipitation, the spatiotemporal variability in precipitation is much more complicated. While temperature in the Czech Republic shows a consistently increasing trend similar to that of surrounding countries and the planet as a whole, precipitation can be simplified that long-term averages of annual totals remain and are likely to remain very similar in the coming decades. Rising air temperatures inherently bring increased evaporative demand of the atmosphere and, for the same precipitation, a lower ratio of precipitation to evaporation, i.e. the climatic water balance shows a negative trend.
Elemental analysis of dendrochronological Norway spruce sample
Zámečník, Karel ; Hraníček, Jakub (advisor) ; Kozlík, Petr (referee)
The subject of this bachelor's thesis is the determination of lithium, sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium, manganese, iron, zinc, selenium, rubidium, strontium, cadmium, antimony, cesium, barium, and thallium in dendrochronological samples of Norway spruce using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The samples of the Norway spruce were collected in the autumn of 2018 on the southern slope of hill Melechov in the Vysočina region. The stem sample was first divided into pieces according to the distance from the bark and labelled A1a to A1g. The ash sample was obtained by burning a cross-section of the stem and separating the bark, from which the A3b sample was created. The remaining two samples were made up of needles and twigs and labelled as samples E and F. For elemental analysis, the samples needed to be converted into a solution, which was achieved by dissolving them in a mixture of hydrochloric, nitric, and hydrofluoric acid, using a microwave digestion device. After dissolution, a solution of boric acid was added to each sample solution to complex any unreacted hydrofluoric acid, which could damage the internal components of the ICP-MS. Calibration solutions were then created with concentrations of 0,0016; 0,008; 0,04; 0,2 and 1,0 mg/l from stock solutions containing the analysed...
The fate of selected heavy metals in a constructed wetland
KREJSA, Jiří
This study is aimed at removal of cadmium and mercury from municipal wastewater using a constructed wetland with a horizontal subsurface flow. Samples of wastewater, sediments, aboveground and belowground biomass of common reed (Phragmites australis) were analyzed. Average concentrations of cadmium and mercury in inflow water were 0,10 ?g/l and 0,16 ?g/l and in outflow water 0,03 ?g/l and 0,06 ?g/l. Average efficiencies of cadmium and mercury removal were 64,2 % and 63,7 %, respectively. Concentrations of cadmium varied in range 0,008-0,016 mg/kg for aboveground biomass and 0,042-0,081 mg/kg for belowground biomass of common reed. Average concentrations of mercury were 0,010 mg/kg and 0,008 mg/kg for aboveground and belowground biomass, respectively. Average concentrations of cadmium and mercury in sediments were 0,15 mg/kg and 0,15 mg/kg at the distance of 1 m from inflow zone and 0,03 mg/kg and 0,10 mg/kg at the distance of 10 m from inflow zone. Results showed that both cadmium and mercury were predominantly removed from wastewater at the beginning of the wetland bed.
