Analysis of the small business’ personal work

The Master's Thesis deals with human resources management in small businesses. The theoretical part introduces small business' specifics in human resources and describes personal processes in small businesses. The aim of the theoretical part is to provide theoretical framework for the practical part of the thesis. In the practical part the small company is described including the description of personal processes in the company. The goal of the thesis is to analyse personal processes in the company, evaluate them and to create recommendations for management of the company. These recommendations are presented in the second part of the practical section of the thesis and if applied should lead to an improvement of the company's human resources management.
Setting of human resources management principles as a result of transformation of family business into a small company

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse and set up a human resources management principles in a company that was transformed from family business into small firm. The analysis is based on theoretical and practical knowledge and all the on-going human resources processes (their weaknesses and strengths) are described in this thesis. According to interviews with representatives of the company staffing system and appraisal system is developed. All the other human resources processes suit the firm quite well and only some suggestions for their improving are provided.
Information security management system in small business

This thesis discusses information security management and information security management systems in small businesses. The goal and prospective added value of this thesis is to provide with a set of practical comments and recommendations for those who implement and/or administer an information security management system in the delicate environment of a small enterprise. First part of the thesis contains theoretical definition of information security and information security management systems. Also, this part describes standards relevant to this thesis. Second part defines the concept of "small business" and discusses possible options of designing ISMS in such business so that it complies with standards mentioned above and is an effective as well as affordable solution which does not demand excessive amount of company's resources. Third and final part of this thesis is analysis of ISMS of a specific company that fits the definition of small business -- BDO IT a.s.
E-commerce and social networks in small businesses

The diploma thesis focuses on e-commerce in small businesses in connection with marketing and social networks. The first chapter focuses on the marketing processes and the possibility of use of the Internet in small businesses. In the second chapter I deal with the rules of creation of the corporate website, I describe several Internet tools to promote the website (Google Analytics) and deal with search engine optimization (SEO). The third chapter is devoted to social media and a number of case studies describing the use of the social network Facebook in marketing. The final chapter four is the result of the previous chapters, all the theoretical findings are applied to the two real companies AS. ROVI, s.r.o. and METRO FLORENC, s.r.o. In conclusion I am summarizing the facts mentioned above and set out recommendations for both companies and small businesses in general. This thesis was designed as a guide for small businesses -- for them to be thaught how to effectively use modern Internet tools to improve their own promotion and hence profit.
Application of management accounting elements in small business segment (on the example of particular company)

In my thesis I am focusing on the possibility of using elements of management accounting in small and medium-sized businesses, on a particular production company. The target is to show, how using elements of management accounting help to develop quality information system in the company. Generally is considered that management accounting is a tool for managing complex and large enterprises. This leads, that this information is used in a few small businesses. Owners of small businesses are afraid that the information system for managing their business is expensive, and often do not have knowledge of economic management and information support. I feel that it applies to the company of my parent as well. My goal is to evaluate the current state of managing company of my parents, with an emphasis on tools and information of management accounting, which will provide better information support, and system of information that will ensure the necessary information to the development of the company.
Small business in the Czech Republic

The aim of this bachelor thesis is small business in the Czech Republic. Firstly, it tries to describe development of small business in time, its basic features and forms of management. An individual entrepreneur is defined there as well as his choice whether he is going to have his own accounting or keep tax records. Next part of this thesis presents tax records practically. Basic rules of tax records according to legal regulations are describe there. Finally, the thesis comprehensively deals with long-term property, salaries and proceeding at the end of period of taxation. In every chapter there is a practical example to ease comprehension of subject matter.
Document management system in a small business

The aim of this thesis is a detailed analysis and subsequent documentation of all procedures related to the application of a document management and to the related changes in a small business. The method of achieving this objective is based mainly on a description, understanding and subsequent application of theoretical foundations in practice, specifically for a small business. Together with all that also goes a description and an appearance of all common problems and obstacles, which may occur during implementation. The contribution of this thesis is to create a guide on how to deal with document management in companies of the above-mentioned type. Another important element is evalutation of the benefits of the implementation of document management application based on the experience of real company. This thesis is divided into several chapters -- market analysis and current state, the importance of documentation for companies, the process of document management implementation, issues and application of tools for document digitalization, evaluation and comparison of partial states in the company, deduction and prediction of the future state.
Human resources management in a small business

This thesis focuses on the topic of human resources management in a small business. The goal of the thesis is to analyze human resources management in a small business PAT, show their strengths and weaknesses and eventually suggest some corrective steps. In the theoretical part after the terms human resources management and small business are defined, the differences between human resources management in a small and in a large business are described as well as individual human resources activities and their specifics in a small business. In the practical part of the thesis the concept of human resources management and of human resources activities of the chosen business PAT is analyzed. The thesis is based on scientific literature, company documentation, interviews with the employees and personal experience of the author.
The internet usage for marketing of small firms

My diploma thesis addresses the usage of the internet for marketing of small-scale enterprises in our surroundings. My goal is to analyse the internet environment and the possibilities of its use for marketing purposes. The analysis of internet utilities is also included. There is one case study of small-scale enterprise with appropriate conclusions in the final part of my diploma thesis. My thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part I created theoretical footholds for my thesis and I described the dilemma of the internet marketing with the use of propriate specialized literature and internet sources. I describe small-scale enterprises and it's role in our economy. This parts also includes the development of the Internet in the whole world and in the Czech republic and I want to make the acquaintance of internet as a marketing tool. The second part, the practical one, covers specific possibilities of the usage of the internet for marketing of small-scale enterprises. This part contains their characteristics and their advantages and drawbacks in different surroundings. The most important point of the second part is the case study of the shopping portal Zoot.
