Project Risk Management in a Particular Company

This master's thesis is focused on risk management in a particular project in a particular company. The opening part deals with the principles of customers loyalty programs, formulation of goals and the main methods used for risk identification and quantification. The analytical part contains an analysis of the current state of the company and a description of the project and its plans. The main task of this work is to identify and evaluate project risks and propose measures to reduce their severity. The output of the thesis is an inventory of the risks of the project, which can serve also for other projects of the company.
Solution of unemployment of young people through closer connestion of their vocational training with labor market requirements

This diploma thesis deals with the relationship between the vocational training of young people and the requirements of the labour market. The thesis is focused on secondary vocational education. The problem, that has been examined, is the lack of readiness of school graduates, to move to the free labour market. In order to improve this, it is necessary to try to reconcile the content and outputs of vocational training with the needs of the labour market. If graduates are poorly prepared for employers' needs, these graduates may become unemployed. The problem is getting worse with the longer duration of unemployment. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out and describe who participates in vocational training and how their mutual cooperation is implemented. In the thesis the author will try to find out the strengths and weaknesses of this cooperation. He will also try to find out in what kind of way the training of young people to the needs of the labour market is adapted. The thesis is a case study focused on the South Bohemian Region, which is briefly presented by selected indicators characteristic of the selected region. Risk Management in an Organization

The thesis is focused on risk management in the selected company STRABAG, respectively its branch of building and civil engineering in the Ceske Budejovice. In the literary review the theoretical knowledge of risk; for example a definition of risk, approaches to risk, classification of risk, is described. Further, in the review the six parts of the risk management process are explained. Finally, the crisis management and planning and risk register are described here. Then follows the characterization and historical development of the organization STRABAG and its branch of building and civil engineering in Ceske Budejovice. This is followed by an assessment of its current state using the company guidelines and standards. To obtain detailed information about risk management in the organization an interview was conducted with the Economic Director of the organization. A questionnaire survey was also carried out. The questionnaire was filled out by the employees involved in risk management in the organization. In the next chapter changes to improve risk management in the organization are proposed. Here you will find an analysis of a real project of the organization with the suggestions for improvement that are recommended in this thesis. Finally, a process map and a training proposal for employees with its detailed quantification are included. The proposed changes should help the company to develop its risk management.
Application of dramatics education to project based instruction

The diploma thesis on the topic "Application of dramatics education to project based education" is dedicated to various strategies towards interconnection of dramatics education and project based education, which are assessed in scope of benefits of these strategies for pupils. The methods are shown on three practical examples. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis deals with the term dramatics education; it defines its principles and goals and classifies the methods it uses. Furthermore it describes possibilities of the methods and their use in individual education fields and in cross-sectional topics of the Framework Education Program for the First Section of Elementary Education. Then the diploma thesis discusses basic characteristics of project education and defines different possibilities how to interconnect dramatics education and project education. The practical part is based on the principles of teachers' action research. It comes with a comprehensive description of three projects which were integrated into a low-class schools' education. Various methods of dramatics education were included in all different ways. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na praktické využití metod projektového managementu pro návrh řešení projektu Okruhové Dny. Práce je nejprve zaměřena na specifikaci teoretických poznatků dané problematiky, načež navazuje analýzou současného prostředí firmy. Na základě těchto výstupů a specifik je posléze vytvořen i samotný návrh řešení projektu. Cílem této magisterské práce je vytvořit podrobný popis a plán projektu, který slouží zejména ke zkvalitnění projektového řízení ve firmě, jakožto projektu samého.
The Enhancement of the Proposal and the Application of the Project Management Methods for the Specific Project.

Diplomová práce je věnována aplikaci metod a nástrojů projektového řízení v rámci projektu “You2ber Life!”. Kapitola 1 studovala teoretické základy projektového řízení a jeho metod. Kapitola 2 hodnotí (současná situace, udržitelnost události, konkurenci a shrnutí poznatků získaných pro zlepšení v příštích letech). Kapitola 3 simuluje (finanční analýzu a návrh rozpočtu), definuje (cíl SMART, WBS a řízení času pomocí Ganttova diagramu), vysvětluje (význam lidských zdrojů při řízení projektů), objasňuje (význam lidských zdrojů při řízení projektů), vyhodnocuje (rizika) a skládá se z návrhů platných pro projekt “You2ber Life!”. Nicméně, po úpravách může být použita i v příštích letech.
Preparing and running multinational collaborative projects

This work focuses on specifics of a project in an international or intercultural team. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate experience of participants with working in international or intercultural team and to propose a method to create such team. In theoretical part we will describe existing forms of cooperation, theory of intercultural communication and the basis of preparation and implementation of a project, including the theory of management of a project team. Practical part consists of a questionnary created for the research, gathered data via this questionnaire and a guideline for creating an international/intercultural team. Sources will be literature and other bibliography related to particular chapters of our work.
Impact of interregional cooperation in the regional management - cases of successful LAGs

The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyse and evaluate the activities of the selected local action group (LAG) within the region. This paper does not evaluate only the current effectiveness of the LAG's work, but also its impact on regional development. The theoretical part focuses on regional policy, rural development policy, municipal cooperation and explains concepts such as LEADER method or local action group. The practical part describes both the basic characteristics of the LAG's functioning and outlines realized projects, explaining the principle and possibilities of financial support. Based on the questionnaire, the participation of municipalities in the area will be analysed. The answers of representatives of municipalities will outline the effectiveness of selected LAG and outline the impact of interregional cooperation. According to the findings and results, possible improvements will be proposed. The result of this work will be the analysis of the influence of regional cooperation of the selected LAG on the development of the region.
Qt Based Programming Editor for Linux Systems

Objective of this Bachelor's Thesis is about design and implementation of free text editor designed for Linux. Comparison of most popular existing solutions was performed before the design and it's output serves as basis for design process. Functionalities not provided and behaviors provided only by some, mostly proprietary, solutions, were taken in account in editor design. As well functionalities for projects manipulation used in development environments were considered. Editor is implemented in C++ language with use of Qt Framework.
Modelling and Management of Project Portfolio

This thesis is dedicated to modeling and management of project portfolio. In the first part, project is specified, along with methods for its managing. Next part describes the project portfolio, its managing and aspects that affect it. Thesis continues with analysis and design of software prototype capable of managing project portfolios.  Most suitable methods are selected for project analysis.  Designed prototype is then implemented and solution is described in the thesis. Last part of the work is user testing, which pointed out the functionality and usability of created prototype.
