Femoroacetabular impingement of players of table tennis
Obešlo, Marek ; Bitnar, Petr (advisor) ; Tolar, Jan (referee)
Introduction: Question of femoroacetabular impingement is very actual. This young concept brings mechanism which leads to early degenerative changes of the hip joint of young and active individuals (athletes). Objectives: To review influence of sport activity on condition of the hip joint of young athletes (players of table tennis) and to determine incidence of femoroacetabular impingement and its clinical significance. Methods: We performed ultrasound and clinical examination and questionnaire with 22 individuals from 2 training groups. Groups vary in age, height, weight, volume of sport activity and how long they do sports. We found out incidence of cam-type impingement and evaluated pain of anterior impingement test, ranges of motions of the hip joint and deep squat. Results: Cam impingement was found in 27 hip joints, 16 in older group, 11 in younger one. In older group there were 12 from 16 impingements painful during anterior impingement test, 4 from 11 in younger one. In older group there were 4 symptomatic individuals, none in younger one. Older group has lower ranges of motion of flexion and internal rotation. 4 individuals did not perform deep squat, all of them with bilateral cam-type impingement. Conclusion: Femoracetabular impingement is frequent among young athletes. It causes...
Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after total hip replacement
Skjaanes, Mona ; Vláčilová, Ivana (advisor) ; Kratochvílová, Pavla (referee)
Title of thesis: Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment of a Patient after Total Hip Replacement. Work placement: Fakultní Nemocnice Královské Vinohrady Summary: This bachelor thesis consists of two parts, one theoretical and one special part. The first theoretical part includes anatomy, kinesiology, biomechanics and pathology of the hip joint. The special part consists of a case study that is based on observations and clinical work at FNKV of a 59- year old woman after operation of total hip replacement. It includes initial and final kinesiological examination, day-to-day therapy and a conclusion of the whole process. The main goal is for the patient to became self-sufficient and be able to do activities of daily living without pain. The methods used in the therapy for this thesis were mainly manual techniques and exercises based on active movements to strengthen and increase range of motion in the operated hip joint. No invasive methods were used. Keywords: total hip replacement, hip joint, rehabilitation, coxarthrosis, degenerative joint disease, physiotherapy

Nováková, Magdalena ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Kaizrová, Irena (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis:: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a pacient after subtrochanteric fracture of femur Objective: The aim of this thesis is to elaborate theoretical and practical knowledge of the diagnosis and their application while processing the case study of a patient after subtrochanteric fracture. Method: This bachelor thesis is divided into general part and special part. In general part the hip joint is described including anatomy, kinesiology. and also the causes and treatment of subtrochanteric fracture. Also described anatomy including articular capsule, ligaments and muscles.. I describe the general bone structure as well as its growth and remodelation. The problematics of subtrochanteric fracture are compiled and listed are methods of osteosynthesis that are used and rehabilitation. The special part contains the case study of a patient after subtrochanteric fracture of the femur and after osteosynthesis with proximal femoral nail, including input and output kinesiology analysis, the goals of the therapy, a short-term and a long-term therapy plan, therapy process and the evaluation of the effects of the therapy. The case study was processed during my internship in the Military University Hospital in Prague at the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in the...
Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of total hip replacement.
Havlíková, Karolína ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Vosmíková, Simona (referee)
Title of bachelor's thesis: Case study of physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of total hip replacement Aims: The aims of the bachelor thesis are to improve theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills connected with the diagnosis of total hip replacement and physiotherapeutic methods used after the implantation of an artificial hip joint. Summary: The thesis is divided into two parts. The first, general part, deals with the anatomy and kinesiology of the hip joint; it also deals with the osteoarthritis, which is the most common cause leading to the total hip replacement. Particular types of implants and operating approaches are dealt with, as well. A significant part of the thesis deals with the rehabilitation plan for patients with this diagnosis, including preoperative rehabilitation, early rehabilitation after the operation and following rehabilitation. The second, specialisted part, deals with the casuistry of a patient after the implantation of an artificial hip joint, including evaluation of the effects of the therapy by comparing the kinesiological analysis before and after the treatment. Key words: physiotherapy, case study, coxarthritis, hip joint, total hip replacement

Title: The case study of a physiotherapeutic treatment of a patient with stroke and total hip arthroplasty. Aim: The aim of this thesis is to analysis a theoretical knowledge about stroke and total hip arthroplasty and elaboration of physiotherapy treatment schedule in the form of an patient with these two diagnosis case study. Methods: This bachelor thesis elaborate stroke and total hip arthroplasty for femoral neck fracture. The thesis is divided into two parts - general and special. I deal with patient's diagnosis in general part of thesis. I describe ethiopatogenesis of stroke, ischemia in carotid artery in detail and I deal with chronic stroke rehabilitation. Further I elaborate anatomy and kinesiology of hip joint, femoral neck fracture and its treatment. In the end I combine these two diagnosis because femoral neck fracture is common complication of a stroke. Special part include case study of a patient with ischemic stroke and total hip arthroplasty. The physiotherapy treatment is described here in detail, also input and output kinesiology analysis, short - term and long - term therapy plan and evaluation of therapy effect are here.
