Local scale snow accumulation and ablation variability using high spatial resolution data
Cuřín, Vojtěch ; Jeníček, Michal (advisor) ; Minařík, Robert (referee)
The focus of this bachelor's thesis is snow depth variability at local scale and modern methods of snow depth measurement with high accuracy, precision and resolution. The main goal is to provide an overview of current research in this area, give comparison of the most widely used methods and outline their most appropriate fields of application. A part of this work is also dedicated to an evaluation of snow distribution over a study area in Filipohuťský creek basin in Šumava (Bohemian Forest) and to an assessment of the impact of selected variables on snow depth variability using multiple linear regression models. This is done using manual snow depth measurement data and local digital surface model with high resolution. Multiple linear regression models capture the snow depth variability more precisely than models based on ordinary kriging, nevertheless the regression coefficients of selected predictors are too inconsistent to confirm their effect. Key words: snow depth, photogrammetry, laser scanning, multiple linear regression
Classification of road network from airborne laser scanning data and from remote sensing images with high resolution
Kuchařová, Jana ; Potůčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Kupková, Lucie (referee)
Classification of road network from airborne laser scanning data and from remote sensing images with high resolution Abstract Object classification of land cover is currently one of the methods of remote Earth exploration. Road network classification only is unique because it is covered with anthropogenic material and has different characteristics than other elements of the landscape. This work deals with the possibility of using a combination of data from airborne laser scanning and high resolution optical data for detection of the road network in the specific area. The premise is that the use of two different types of data could provide better results, because airborne laser scanning data provide very precise information about the position and height of the point, while satellite data of very high resolution represent the real landscape. Searching for suitable features and classification rules for unambiguous determination of the road network is one of the objectives of the work. Segmentation parameters will also be important for object classification. Another objective is to verify the transferability of classification schemes into the other scene. The results should present a response on whether a procedure can be applied over a different location and also that the use of two types of data can bring...
Simplification the Digital Terrain Model based on TIN representation
Pancová, Iveta ; Bayer, Tomáš (advisor) ; Potůčková, Markéta (referee)
The Generalization of the Digital Terrain Model Based on the TIN Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the up to now way and the possibilities of the digital terrain model generalization based on the TIN (the triangulate irregular network). New suitable way of the generalization of the digital terrain model procured from laser scanning data is proposed on the base of the existing generalization methods designated for digital models. Laser scanning data is characterized by a high areal density so the basic requirement is computing speed, maintaining the terrain features, such as a ridge, valley, steep hill, saddle, depression … and so on. The proposed algorithm is compared with the results of suggested algorithms and results from the generalization by the geographic software, such as Atlas DMT and ArcGIS.
Design of Pravčická brána 3D model and its integration with 2.5D TIN terrain model
Brýdl, Ivo ; Brůha, Lukáš (advisor) ; Lysák, Jakub (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to design integrated model containing a three-dimensional representation of Pravčická brána rock arch and 2.5D TIN model of surrounding terrain. Point cloud from airborne lidar measurements has to be classified into ground and non-ground features. The ground points are the basis of the TIN terrain representation. Second part of this thesis is focused on methods for reconstructing 3D surface from given points set retrieved with ground-based lidar measurement. The thesis describes the process of meshing point cloud with Poisson surface reconstruction. Finally, these two models are oriented and translated to real coordinates in order to form integrated hybrid model covering part of České Švýcarsko National Park.
Creating a 3D model of the White Tower in Hradec Kralove from terrestrial laser scanning data
Lagner, Ondřej ; Čábelka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Štefanová, Eva (referee)
This work is focused on processing data of digital terrestrial laser scanning of The White tower in Hradec Králové city and solving the problems closely connected to this. Data was processed in different graphical softwares, which were specialy made for this kind of tasks. During the processing, the softwares were compared according to established criteria. The mos usefull pragram Geomagic Studio 2012 was chosen and 3D model of the tower was made in this. To assess the accuracy of the model, was it measured by yardstick, and model was also compared with buildings plan.
Visualization Environment for Robot Remote Control
Blahož, Vladimír ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis presents possibilities of 3D point cloud and true colored digital video fusion that can be used in the process of robot teleoperation. Advantages of a 3D environment visualization combining more than one sensor data, tools to facilitate such data fusion, as well as two alternative practical implementations of combined data visualization are discussed. First proposed alternative estimates view frustum of the robot's camera and maps real colored video to a semi-transparent polygon placed in the view frustum. The second option is a direct coloring of the point cloud data creating a colored point cloud representing color as well as depth information about an environment.
Working out of methodology for creation of building information mode
Sládková, Veronika ; Černý, Martin (referee) ; Hanzl, Vlastimil (advisor)
The subject of thesis was creation of methodic for building information modeling methods specified. The buildings were surveyed at first or projects drawing were provided. Processing of survey data and building information modeling was done in software Revit 2014 with program extensions. Subsequently chosen methods of creation were described and they were compared with each other. The result can use for selection the most appropriate method on the basis function and targeted funds.
Mobile Mapping
Manda, David ; Sukup, Jan (referee) ; Hanzl, Vlastimil (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is introduce the mobile mapping system IP-S2, which is using by company GEODIS BRNO, and perform data collection by this system. Measure the identical points, determine their coordinates and compare with coordinates obtained by mobile mapping system. The conclusion of this thesis is focused on testing the accuracy of the mobile mapping system.
Laser scanning confocal microscopy for 3D surface mapping
Lapšanská, Hana ; Schovánek, Petr
This contribution introduces a modern microscopic method and shows possible measurements and analysis of wire saw machined glass pieces. The main objective of realized measurements is to identify possible defects and its depth to propose eventual additional treatment. We are looking for the optimal technological procedure of grooved glass stick-on supports preparation. Such supports are used for the very thin accurate optical components production which is executed in our workshops and laboratories. Surface quality of the support significantly influences the quality of produced optical components.
