Bartáková, Nikola ; Nekola, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Chlumský, Jan (referee)
Title Positive findings in doping of athletes in the Czech Republic Objectives The aim of this thesis, based on the doping control protocols from 1993 - 2011 provided by the Czech Anti-Doping Committee, is to assess the most commonly abused doping substances and evaluate sports in which doping is most frequently abused, and attitudes of athletes who have violated doping regulations. Methods The main method used in this thesis was an analysis of documents, especially doping protocols, which led to gathering important data and compile final tables, which were subsequently processed and evaluated. Finally, aninterview with two bodybuilders who have received completely different penalties for the same offense. Results This thesis comes to the conclusion that the most commonly used substances are, in order: testosterone, nandrolone, marijuana, ephedrine and then metandienon. The most common individual sports, where the use of doping substances is most commonly encoutered include bodybuilding and powerlifting. In team sports, it is hockey, rugby, water polo and handball. Use is most prevalent in men, and less common in women. Keywords Anti-doping policy, doping, doping control, doping substance, sport.

(100) substrate processing optimization for fabrication of smooth boron doped epitaxial diamond layer by PE CVD
Mortet, Vincent ; Fekete, Ladislav ; Ashcheulov, Petr ; Taylor, Andrew ; Hubík, Pavel ; Trémouilles, D. ; Bedel-Pereira, E.
Boron doped diamond layers were grown in an SEKI AX5010 microwave plasma enhanced chemical vapour deposition system. Effect of surface preparation, i.e. polishing and O2/H2 plasma etching on epitaxial growth on type Ib (100) HPHT synthetic diamonds were investigated. Using optimized substrate preparation, smooth (RRMS ~ 1 nm) boron doped diamond layers with metallic conduction and free of un-epitaxial crystallites were grown with a relatively high growth rate of 3.7 μm/h. Diamond were characterized by optical microscopy, optical profilometry, atomic force microscopy and Hall effect.
The hydrogen modification of the graphene structures for field effect transistors
Kurfürstová, Markéta ; Čermák,, Jan (referee) ; Mach, Jindřich (advisor)
This master’s thesis is focused on the subject of graphene modified with atomic hydrogen and its electronic transport properties. Structural and electronic properties of graphene and hydrogenated graphene are compared in the theoretical part of the thesis. The Raman spectroscopy technique is described, including characterization of typical Raman spectra of both unmodified and modified graphene. Samples used during experimental part of the thesis are prepared via laser and electron lithography, and are set to be measured in a vacuum chamber. Subsequently, electronic transport properties are measured before and after hydrogen modification of graphene. Finally, hydrogenated graphene is irradiated using electron beam and changes in its structure are analyzed with Raman spectroscopy techniques.
Organic tranistors for sensorics
Marková, Aneta ; Omasta, Lukáš (referee) ; Vala, Martin (advisor)
The aim was to find the best available commercial formulation of poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and methods and subsequent treatment of thin films for organic electrochemical transistors (OECT). These films will be used in bioelectronic sensors to measure the physiological function of cardiomyocytes. Studied material was PEDOT:PSS in six different formulations. Thin layers prepared by spin coating were modified in three ways, namely (i) immersion in ethylene glycol, (ii) drying and (iii) a combination of drying and ethylene glycol. The layers were then tested for the influence of ethylene glycol, thermal stability, the impact of storage, influence of aqueous medium, and additional thermal annealing. According to the results obtained, the most suitable treatment of most materials was immersion in ethylene glycol followed by thermal annealing of the layer. It was found that the most appropriate material formulation was Sigma Aldrich 739 316 treated by the combination of drying, immersion in ethylene glycol and thermal annealing.
Economy of doping in cycling: Doping cases and their impact on market value of sponsors
Cihan, Maroš ; Stroukal, Dominik (advisor) ; Potužák, Pavel (referee)
The main goal of the paper was the impact of negative events, in our case doping cases, on sponsors of cycling teams and riders. It also discuss view of spectators and fans on doping and sponsorship. As a method it's used an event study, which measure the impact of event on market value of firms in time of the event. In the paper are built three models, which analyse different doping cases and their impact on sponsors firms. All three models didn't show significant negative impact on market value of sponzoring firms.
