The aim of my Bachelor thesis is to evaluate the financial health of the company Trinecke Zelezarny, as in the range from 2003 to 2007. I will analyse financial statements for each period and the subsequent calculation of various indicators to try to determine the current trend in the evolution of the company. Bachelor's thesis will be divided into two basic parts - methodology and application section. In practice often characterized by the evaluation procedures and indicators that will be used in the calculation of the practical part. The application section will present the company, indicate the profile and then apply the selected method of calculation of the methodological part. In conclusion, summarizing the results obtained from the calculation of various parameters and evaluate the values on which i will determine the financial soundness of the enterprise.

Financial Statement according to the Czech Regulations and the transfer to IFRS

The subject of the presented Bachelor Work is the Financial Statement according to the Czech Regulations and the transfer to IFRS. The presented thesis compares the financial statement made according to the Czech regulations and according to the IFRS. The first part is concentrated on the account controlling and harmonization and on the Czech accounting legislation. The second part deals with the financial statement and financial reporting made according to the Czech regulations. The third part describes the requirements of the International Financial Reporting Standards regarding the financial statement and financial reporting. The last part is concentrated on the general differences between the Czech accounting legislation and IFRS.

The company foundation

The aim of my thesis is to sum up the particular steps that are needed for a company foundation, and within a practical part use these information to found a fictive company. The most important part of this thesis is a financial plan, in which I predict the future company development. It includes mainly a prediction of a profit/loss statement, a balance sheet, a cash-flow statement and also the financial ratios, e.g. ROA, ROE, ROS.

The Financial Analysis of a Company

This bachelor thesis contains a theoretical interpretation of a financial analysis, financial statements, users of financial analysis, indicators, basic processes of an elaboration of a financial analysis. The other part of bachelor thesis, a practical part, uses this theoretical knowledge to design an external financial analysis of a company. The company Iveco Czech Republic, a. s. became an analysed company. This bachelor thesis even contains concrete proposals and recommendations for improving or stabilization of a financial situation of the company.

My thesis deals with the use of accounting information for the purpose of valuating a company. The first part deals with the basic terms of valuating a company. The second part concerns on all the parts of valuating. In the part called financial analysis deals with principles and assumptions that accounting is based on. There are also same constraints of financial reporting. The third part concerns on adjustment of financial accounting in each kind of valuating method. The forth part contains adjusted financial statements for the purpose of valuating a company.

The analysed company is Metrostav Inc. in years 2003 to 2007, including prediction for 2008.
