Determination of Turbocharger Rotor Dynamic Properties
Blaha, Adam ; Zubík, Martin (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with dynamic behaviour of a turbocharger rotor. The subject is a stock turbocharger for commercial vehicles. The research will be mentioned in the first part of the thesis as well as methods of processing. The second, practical part is divided into two divisions. They are both experimental and computational. The aim is finding of rotordynamic behaviour by an experiment and its comparing with a computational model in ANSYS software. Modal and harmonic analysis of a free and fixed subject will be used by both experiment and evaluation. The subject will be fixed where bearings are located during harmonic analysis. All the experimental results will be processed with mathematical and physical methods like FFT analysis or Campbel diagram. There will be two main types of computational models to choose among. These models will be analyzed in detail. The goal of the thesis is to reach results from ANSYS as close as possible with the experimental testing. This includes finding correct material and physical properties, right choice of mesh and right boundary conditions. At the same time the CPU time compared to the model complexity and results accuracy will be considered in a comparison with data obtained by the experiment.
Computational Model of KWH Boiler
Koiš, Jiří ; Skála, Zdeněk (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the computational model of existing KWH boiler. There is a short research in the introduction, which deals with combustion heat of considered boiler.  The stoichiometric and balance calculations of gasification chamber ZKG are performed first. The Balance calculations are based on the boiler thermal loss calculations, the losses were determined experimentally. The entire calculation is processed in a computational program for purposses of debugging and manipulation with partial calculations. The computational model that is proposed in this thesis provide better boiler proces understandig. The real boiler measurement is performed for evaluation. The next point is the result analyses, that shows potential boiler efficiency improvements.
Computational modeling of machine tool frame
Hermanský, Dominik ; TOSHULIN,, Martin Minarčík; (referee) ; Novotný, Lubomír (advisor)
The subject of my master’s thesis is creating a computational model of a vertical turning centre frame. The frame is influenced by the heat generated in a motion system. The computational model was created to evaluate a temperature distribution in machine frame structure and thermal deformations caused by temperature gradients.
Transition State Simulation of Combustion Engine
Forbelský, Antonín ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Master's thesis focuses on the simulation engine transients. The model of single-cylinder engine was constructed in simulation software Lotus Engine Simulation. Then was made simulation of transients. The thesis try to describe the influence of moment of inertia of the engine, the engine starting speed and process of throttle opening during the transients. For all modes also compare two methods of fuel control.
Simplified computational modelling of biomass grate combustion
Floková, Kateřina ; Vondál, Jiří (referee) ; Hájek, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to assemble simplified computational 3D model for straw grate combustion, based on data provided by detailed computational 1D model. This thesis is organized as follows. Firstly, current state of CFD grate combustion modelling is described. The main body of this thesis is focused on creation simplified 3D model, which includes pressure losses calculation, aproximation of data provided by outcomes of detailed 1D model and analysis of heat transfer during combustion process. Simulation results dealing with radiation heat transfer and heat conductivity are included in conclusion.
Strain-Stress analysis of pig femur
Legerský, Radek ; Valášek, Jiří (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the strain-stress analyses of the pig femoral bone in physiological and pathological condition. Pathological condition is determined by a significant defect in diaphysis of the bone fixed by using direct angular stable locking plate with screws. The thesis describes the creation of computational models with special focus on bone tissues models of material, which are based on analysis of digital images from computed tomography (CT). There are created and analyzed three types of computational models: the first one corresponds to physiological condition of femur, the second one to femur with significant defect and fixation plate and the third one to femur with significant defect, fixation plate and rod. Every model is loaded in three ways: the first of them simulating the experimental conditions of pressure testing of the femur, the second one bone stress in the sagittal plane and the third one stress by using load determined from probational release of the pig hind limb. Strain-stress states are determined by finite element method using Ansys computational system. Gained results of stress and strain are compared with experimental measurements. The thesis presents a basic idea of the mechanical behavior of porcine femur and porcine femur with significant bone defect.
Mass Reduction of 4-cylinder In-line CI-engine Con-rod
Zatloukal, Lukáš ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis applies to the light-weight itself of a connecting rod of a mass-produced tractor-engine. As a one of the most important and first part of this task is creating a 3D simulation model of a connecting rod. The strenght calculation is following skip factor of the light-weight, the exact calculated dimension of relieve is providing by means of an engine imbalance including the connecting rod. The outcome data of research are instrumental to the new relieve and strengthen 3D design. The conclusion and ending point of the diploma thesis evaluate results.
Study of stability solution of timber structures
Hetver, Jan ; Brdečko, Luděk (referee) ; Zídek, Rostislav (advisor)
In this work is presented development of computational model of real timber truss in collapse state. The model was solved linearly and geometrically non-linearly and the results were evaluated. The aim was to depict the real behavior of the structure.
The impact of inner shielding on the thermal stability of room
Halva, Jiří ; CSc, Vladimir Tichomirov, (referee) ; Bečkovský, David (advisor)
This thesis deals the internal shielding elements and their influence on the thermal stability of the room and compares the differences in their characteristics.
Footbridge across the expressway
Páleník, Petr ; Kocourek, Petr (referee) ; Nečas, Radim (advisor)
The aim of this master thesis is a design of the pedestrian bridge across the highway. The bridge is formed by a slab structure of 6 spans with lenghts from 9 to 51 m. The main spans are suspended on a V shape pylon. The deck of the span across the highway is assambled of precast segments and composite deck slab. The deck is in the lenghtways kept in the parabolic arch. The model of the construction is made in software ANSYS, the solution was done non-linear. The design and assessment are according to the europien standard.
