Detection of rainwater infiltration using EIS method
Lipinský, Vít ; Maleňák,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Pařílková, Jana (advisor)
The master‘s thesis deals with the detection of rainwater infiltration in soils using the method of electrical impedance spectrometry. Its aim is to assess the suitability of this method and equipment for measuring the role of water infiltration in soils.
Sanitation installations in a multiple dwelling house with underground garages
Straník, Petr ; Bárta,, Ladislav (referee) ; Vrána, Jakub (advisor)
The Master's thesis solves questions about sanitation installations in a multiple dwelling house with underground garages in Brno. The theoretical part of this work focuses on the analysis of the topic with an emphasis on the management with rainwater. The work also focuses on the possible alternative solutions of the given specialization. Technical part solves the installation of sanitary of this apartment building in the selected variant. It is a multiple storey building, where five floors are used for housing and two underground floors are used mostly for parking.
Analysis of the mutual relationship between two methods of field measurement of water infiltration into the soil
Larišová, Lucie ; Kriška,, Michal (referee) ; Kameníčková, Ivana (advisor)
This thesis deals with the theoretical description of the infiltration process and field measurements of infiltration in the cadastral territory of Bohaté Málkovice. The research work carried out in 2011 in an experimental area on Haplic Chernozem/FAO, medium-heavy loam soil. The experimental area was divided into two parts, the topsoil layer on these surfaces was processed by both classic and minimization technologies. The plots were sown by spring barley. The applied measurements of water infiltration into the soil were two-cylinder method and MiniDisc. Within the vicinity of the infiltration experiments with intact soil were collected samples for laboratory determination of saturated hydraulic conductivity. From the field measurements and laboratory experiments were determined values of hydraulic conductivity (saturated and unsaturated), and other infiltration characteristics, the cumulative infiltration and infiltration rate. To evaluate the infiltration of the heats was used three-paramether Philp type equation that provides a good estimate of saturated hydraulic conductivity. For the evaluation of the MiniDisc there was used the Zangova method that provides the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity. The laboratory evaluation of the saturated hydraulic conductivity was compared with the estimated values obtained from the field measurements. The values of the saturated hydraulic conductivity from the laboratory measurements are closely comparable with estimates obtained from the steady infiltration rates from the field experiments. The research results also showed that medium-heavy loam soil, when being processed by minimization including modification of the soil surface by digging, have a positive effect on the infiltration of water into the soil. This fact leads to a higher protection plants in the vegetative period and improvement of the retention and storage capacity of soil.
Warm air heating systems in family houses
Jankůj, Josef ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Košner, Jan (advisor)
The aim of my work on the theme “Warm air heating systems in family houses” is to summarize used systems, it´s individual components, pass judgment on preferences and shortcomings of this systems. First part is oriented on general familiarization with air rating, examination advantages and disadvantages against classic warm-water system. Second part put mind to elementary systems of airing buildings, their parting and identification with their particular principle.
Determination of geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristic of soils and evaluation their suitability for building construction on selected locality in the Bohemian Masive
Blahut, Dominik ; Krmíček, Lukáš (referee) ; Sluková, Michaela (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the geotechnical and hydrogeological characteristics of the site in the Bohemian Masive. The first objective is search procedure description of the site and its adjacent areas. Futher work follows up the geotechnical survey that will be determined by simple dicest exposure work, especially a drilling probes. In the conclusion of the thesis is the collected soil tested in grain size distribution test, which will be used, along with empirical formulas, for inference of hydraulic conductivity. To verify the hydraulic conductivity the simple infiltration test is made and then results are compared.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Skolková, Daniela ; Roubcová, Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis is divided into two parts. The first part of thesis deals with the problems of soil erosion, surface runoff and measures affecting runoff. The part also explains the concept of surface runoff, and what are the most common methods taken to avoid water erosion caused by surface runoff. The next part about measures is divided into two chapters. The first part of measures describes the most common measures to increase the infiltration of surface runoff. In the second part of these measures were been described the measures to support water retention. The second part of the thesis includes methods of flood protection municipality Sebranice.
The design of the small water reservoir
Galuška, Martin ; Hyánková, Eva (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
The concept of this work is to assess options of a small water reservoir design on the selected area Bezměrov. Part of the work refers to different types and functions of small dams and their water management solutions. There is a geological survey presented which is describing the composition of the soil layers and investigating available materials for dam constructions. Water balance has been processed for considered dam profiles evaluating specific outflow of the catchment area, vapor and leakage through a simplified design of the dam. That creates a basic conception about possibilities of water manipulation in this area. Based on this evaluation there are several options processed to explore the retention effects of this two small water reservoirs system above Bezmerov locality.
Mikroskopická variabilita hydraulických vlastností půdy v borovicovém lese u obce Sekule na jihozápadě Slovenska
Orfánus, T. ; Lichner, Ľ. ; Šír, Miloslav ; Tesař, Miroslav
The variability of water repellency of pine-forest arenic Regosols and its influence on the infiltration process were estimated at the locality of Mláky II near Sekule in south-west Slovakia. The water drop penetration time (WDPT) tests of soil water repellency and infiltration tests with a miniaturized tension infiltrometer (3 mm diameter) at single-sample scale (100 cm3 volume, 22 cm2 surface) were performed. Extreme heterogeneity of water repellency and infiltration velocity was recorded. All the results suggested that the hydraulic properties of the soil are changing at millimetre scale due to the presence of unevenly distributed hydrophobic material.
Infiltration pattern changes related to the presence of soil
Votrubová, Jana ; Kosugi, K. ; Mizuyama, T.
For a period of three years, soil moisture distribution was monitored within a 50 cm × 50 cm transect on a forested hill-slope (Fudoji experimental watershed, central Japan). The site is covered by the forest brown soil (Cambisol) approx. 1 m deep underlain by weathered granite bedrock. Soil 25 moisture probes (CS615 Water Content Reflectometer, Campbell Scientific, Inc.) arranged in a 5×5 matrix spaced by 10 cm were used. The readings were collected in 5-minute intervals. The aim of the study was to assess temporal stability of the infiltration process under natural conditions.
