Biogas stations - renewable energy sources
VOBORSKÁ, Petra
The topic of the thesis is biogas stations - renewable energy sources. This thesis focuses on energy from biomass which is generated inside stations, and on appropriate use of energy. It deals with thermal energy that is produced as a waste product inside the biogas stations. The main objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of the biogas stations as a source of heat for the municipalities in southern Bohemian and create evaluation criteria of suitability of using heat from biogas stations in specific communities.

Consequences of blackouts on agricultural farms of South Bohemia
PARLÁSKOVÁ, Lucie
Electrical energy plays an indispensable role in our contemporary society. However, we mostly realize its position in agriculture in a situation which often already entails irreversible consequences. Therefore, the thesis aims to assess the consequences of power blackout on agricultural farming. In connection with the selected objective, a question arises whether long-term power blackouts also constitute a serious threat to agricultural farms of South Bohemia? The theoretical part briefly describes electrical energy, its production and method of transmission. It also includes basic elements of the power system including its stability and safety. The chapter also acquaints the reader with the critical infrastructure of the Czech Republic and its legislative base. Then, it globally analyzes the term blackout.Given the topic of the thesis, it is necessary to mention the valuable work of the integrated rescue system which in addition to the basic obligations to ensure the protection of human life and property is required to provide missions to rescue animals in emergency situations. Finally, this chapter deals with the application of electrical energy in agriculture, including the characteristics of surveyed farms and a high degree of automation used in farming. The research part is based on the search of the current state of selected agricultural farms. The research was focused on the South Bohemian Region which makes no exception in relation to this issue. Used for the research was a qualitative method of data collection with the information obtained through the techniques of controlled interviews and the secondary analysis of data provided by competent employees of farms in South Bohemia. The results are then outlined in two planes. During recent years, breeding stations have been completely renovated, especially in the section of technological processes. Modern electronic devices which include e.g. automated milking, feeding, suction and washing equipment, heating of service water and heating, should ensure trouble-free operation in such farms. However, what the vast majority of farms is not adequately prepared for is to ensure their smooth operation even during a failure of the electrical system. A number of farms do not have an alternate source of electrical energy. The percentage of self-sufficient farms having on its premises a pumping station that can supply the local diesel-aggregate, is also negligible. Moreover, in case of a diesel-aggregate failure, no alternative source is available. A crucial problem arises in the category of poultry. The animals are situated in large-volume halls where all processes are controlled by fully automated control systems. An alternative source of electrical energy is a crucial element needed to ensure normal operation of the farms. Unless the established criteria are in compliance (ventilation, lighting, etc.), reaction of the animals becomes evident within tens of minutes. Any deviation results in rapid loss of animals. It is assumed that the resulting data will be used both for research purposes in the area of secondary impacts in case of electrical system failures and for objective assessment of the effectiveness in farming security within the current methods. The purpose is to educate the above entities.
The impact of blackout on South Bohemia region
SMEJKAL, Pavel
The thesis is concerned in problem that can occure after a blackout. The South Bohemia region was chosen as the area of blackout impacts. The theoretical part of the work describes a critical infrastructure, whose part electrical energy is. It also learns about the electricity supply system in the Czech Republic and explains what is considered to be a blackout. The research is made in two levels. First there are processed baground researches of selected blackouts in the world and consequently the impacts of possible blackout in the South Bohemia are examined. The method of guided interview was used to make a questionnaire. The guided interviews were made with a few specialists. The questionnaire results are analysed and the possible consequences of blackout in the South Bohemia region are described. The main purpose of the work was ? The description of a blackout in the South Bohemia region?. The aim was fulfilled and a blackout in the South Bohemia region was described. The thesis worked with two hypothesis. The first one was ?A blackout strongly influences the population? a this hypothesis was proved by my research. The second hypothesis sounded ?Electrical energy is a strategical part of a critical infrastructure in the South Bohemia region?, and this hypothesis was also proved on basis of my results.
Organisation and regulation aspects of energy market
KLÁNOVÁ, Martina
The electrical energy is a highly valued commodity with worldwide strategic importance. Its importance and price have been rising constantly. It comes from various resources and its main drawback is its difficult storability. The energy market, where production, distribution and sale of electrical energy take place, is therefore ruled by specific legal framework and EU directives.
Analysis of energy-saving campaigns in the Czech Republic
Rudolfová, Jana ; Pešek, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zamazalová, Marcela (referee)
This bachelor thesis analyzes energy-saving campaigns, which have taken place so far or are taking place at the moment in the Czech Republic. The thesis is focused only on the campaigns of the four largest energy companies in the Czech Republic, namely ČEZ, RWE, E.ON and PRE. The aim of this thesis is to describe particular ways and tools of marketing communication, which energy companies use for their energy-saving campaigns and through a questionnaire survey to find out what attitude Czech people have towards the issue of energy savings, whether there is an awareness of the existence of energy-saving campaigns in Czech society and whether Czech people are interested in information regarding this issue and also interested in this type of campaigns. The thesis is divided into two parts -- theoretical and practical. The theoretical part is focused on the explanation of marketing terms and companies' social responsibility terms, related to the topic of this thesis, which are very helpful for final understanding of the practical part. The practical part describes reasons for creating energy-saving campaigns, the situation in the market of electricity and natural gas and offers analysis of selected energy-saving campaigns. The practical part also includes the aforementioned survey.
Power Electronics and Quality of Electrical Energy
Valouch, Viktor
The paper deals with basic problems concerning the application of power electronic converters in the field of electric power engineering with the aim of improving power quality in transmission and distribution systems. The attention is focused mainly on questions of converter power circuits, their control algorithms, and on modeling and simulation of respective systems. Basic power theories are mentioned as well.
Energy management in office buildings
Špaček, Jan ; Svobodová, Hana (advisor) ; Šillerová, Zuzana (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide the reader with the comprehensive overview of the Energy Management. Nowadays, most companies are focusing on costs types of processes. It is important to stop all uneconomical utilization of sources. The energy management is important way of saving funds. The project management know-how and acquired knowledge were used in this bachelor thesis for resolution of problem with wastage of energy (especially electricity) in office buildings. It has been found that it is important to support energy management in the company. In this thesis, it is shown how to implement system of energy management in concrete conditions of company. The proposal was created for project "Unit process of energy management in ČEZ Group". Aims of project are to optimize indirect costs in building administration and to establish process based integrated system of energy management.
