The Use of Methods of the Project Management in Company

The diploma thesis deals with an analysis and detailed description of a particular IT company's project lifecycle, its evaluation and an improvement plan implementation. Theoretical part of the thesis contains methods of the project management which are further used in the planning part of the thesis. This is followed by an analysis of the current state of the technical facilities of the customer's company, and a market analysis of the company. The main part of this thesis is focused on describing the solution for migration of existing terminal farms of the customer to the cloud datacenters of the new provider of terminal services, using appropriate methods and tools of project management. The project's benefits for the company are listed in the conclusion.

Diploma thesis focuses on the design of a project solution for the creation of internet shop for a selected company with using project management methods. The thesis describes the theoretical knowledge about project management and analyses the corporate environment, based on which is created a proposal for solution of a project for successful realization of the new e-shop.

Project Management Implementation in the selected company

The thesis is focused on understanding the current state of project management in selected companies, including proposing their own suggestions and recommendations. Own suggestions and recommendations are directly used in the case study of a real project-an exclusive two-days training for exclusive leaders. The thesis has two parts. In the first part are described the elementary terms of project management. Defined individual phases of the life cycle, described selected project documentation and international standards and methodologies of project management. In the second part is a brief description of the selected company, describes the project lifecycle, including comparisons of the international standards and methodology and evaluation deficiencies. Suggestions and recommendations are used in the case study and in the final discussion are evaluated practical suggestions and recommendations.

The thesis analyse in detail the surroundings of the project in context of the International Students Club’s activities. The diploma thesis is focused on the packaging industry. Through the application of project management methods it proposed a solution a sewing workshop for the VMT Ecopack s.r.o. The Introductory part is aimed at the description of basic concepts and all subsequent stages of the project, focusing especially on the methodologies in the planning part. The Analytical section primarily states information about the company including conducted analysis of the internal and external area. The last part has been designed and developed my own proposal to establish, encompass and develop a new section of the company through the use of effective project management tools and approaches.

Software Support for Project Definition with Using of Logical Frame Method

The purpose of this work is to design and implement software support for Project Definition of LFM (Logical Frame Method). The first part is about project management and about necessity to use it for solving projects. There is description of phases of project and detailed description of logical frame method. In the second part there is system requirements analysis, description of the application via UML and implementation of application which was created in development environment Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 in C# language. There is a short summary, possible extensions and comparing with existing applications in the end of the work.
