Folk song in Horácko and its use in school and out of school activities of children

The first part of the bachelor thesis titled Folk song in Horácko and its use in both in school and out of school activities of children, it deals with folk songs from the perspective of collecting, categorising, themes and music theory. The second part deals with the problem of in school and out of school activities of children. Although Horácko in comparison with other folk areas it is not very well known, many collectors, teachers of music, supervisors of out of school activities and leaders of folk groups help to keep traditions. The bachelor thesis also includes the analysis of three educational programs of schools which belong to the Horácko area. There is also an analysis of the most used music books at schools for the practical application an example of a lesson where folk song of Horácko is taught is included. In the area of out of school activities the bachelor thesis deals with work of school facilities for leisure education, art schools, explores children's folk groups and give a list of the most popular folk festivals where children from Horácko participate regularly.
Folklore within the Music Education at Lower Secondary Schools

The graduation thesis deals with the problem of engagement of Czech folklore into the process of music education at lower secondary schools. It presents theory about Czech folklore and analyzes contemporary offer of music course books intended for lower secondary schools from the point of view of their content of folklore material. It reveals results of the research oriented on the folklore education at lower secondary schools. On the basis of these results, the diploma thesis proposes a project how to integrate Czech folklore into the music lessons as well as into other subjects taught at lower secondary schools.
Folk songs in music activites designed for pre-school children

The subject of this thesis is to show how to use folk songs and various musical activities when working with pre-school children. The theoretical part of this thesis includes a definition of folk music as well as a brief introduction into the history of folk music in Bohemia and Moravia. There are also numerous suggestions of musical activities which develop musical talent of children. The activities are divided into groups according to the age of children and therefore can be used not only in kindergarten but also on other occasions. The last chapter of this part is dedicated to Framework Educational Programme for Preschool Education. The practical part focuses on how to use folk songs in everyday life of pre-school children. The songs are grouped so that they are suitable for particular age group, bearing in mind the overall programme of the pre-school educational system. The first chapter called Meeting consists of songs which could be nicely used in September, when children are new to the kindergarten. Then there is a part called Autumn, suitable primarily for this part of the year. Moravian folk songs collected by František Sušil and contemporary pop music

Folk or national song is an important part of history of each country and language as well. Its writing and recording is useful in way of keeping these songs in mind. Because these national parts of tradition should not be forgotten. In comparison to today modern society with the society living during ages when folk songs were forming we can see the difference in their social role and its uniqueness. After introduction its dating and context of collectors of Sušil´s time there will be mentioned musicians who were inspired by his collections. These are mentioned composers from the nineteenth until the twentieth century and their classical music. After that the main focus of the work will be oriented on contemporary music performers and their opinion on their creative approach, promotion and effect of propagation of their genre with folk roots.
