DPF for CI Engines
Hanák, Jiří ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes formation of harmful particles during combustion cycle of diesel engine and blocking its spreading into atmosphere using diesel particulate filters. First part of this thesis looks into types and mechanisms of formation of these particles including regulations of its maximal value in atmosphere thanks to emission regulations. Then this thesis summarizes principles of diesel particulate filters´ functioning, their types, methods of construction and regeneration. Also, there are described systems of diesel particulate filters with diesel engine and practical solutions. In conclusion, this thesis deals with problematic combinations of diesel particulate filters and diesel engines and outlines possible future development.
SPATIAL CULTIVATION KOLÁČEK SQUARE IN SLAVKOV (AUSTERLITZ)
Brázdová, Dana ; Zíka, Vratislav (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The project seeks to return the importance Koláčkova square within the town. Modifying a own recovery gives the required city-forming element. Also, the function of the new buildings will increase usage of center. Information center, library, reading room, cafe and rooms for rent and housing for people over 50 years of creating polyfunctional buildings. Suitably elected ratio of built and unbuilt space adds the square of appropriate scale.
Construction technology study regeneration external cladding and roof of accommodation building

The bachelor’s thesis deals with the technological studies of regeneration of external cladding and roof of the accommodation building located on the Tučkova 23 street, Brno. The thesis describes technological processes, principles of organization of construction, time scheduling, suggestion of mechanical sets, occupational safety and health, quality requirements and itemized budget.
The New Use of the Courtyard in Brno-Královo Pole
Lukeš, Jaroslav ; Kramoliš, Milan (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor) ; Balíková, Jitka (advisor)
This thesis develops the original Architectural Design Studio I, which main task was interior adjustment of courtyard between the apartment blocks in Brno – Královo Pole, between the streets ‚Palackého třída‘ and ‚Kosmova‘. Nowadays there is a ground car park, smaller children’s playground and the converter station for DPMB (public transport company) used as a railway yard for tramcars in the past. Within the courtyard regeneration there was designed the reconstruction of the converter station and its transformation into sports centre, utilizable for broader neighbourhood. In the remaining part of the courtyard there will be built new underground car park which will allow to transform the courtyard into public park used mainly by residents from surrounded housing. This solution will result in increased housing quality in the area.
Polná ideal, the castle and under the castle
Kapraľová, Kristína ; Sedlák, Jan (referee) ; Kiszka, Josef (advisor)
The aim of the work is regeneration and reclamation of the main formal places and points in the Polna town, on the level of the town (part of the town), the castle complex and the main court. Using the town acupuncture method and focusing on the main and the most important parts, I created the system of segments (plateaus), which like the separate elements create the appearance of the town as a whole. In my diploma thesis I focused on segment of castle complex. Using the gradual regeneration of the main formally important places and points, I created its overall “ideal” condition. The result of my work is the design of alternative use of castle complex and castle court elements.
Turbine drive for charger unit of bus
Obrlík, Jan ; Fiedler, Jan (referee) ; Škorpík, Jiří (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with use of combustion chamber to drive the electric bus charging unit. Based on the research and analysis of operation economy, a turboexpander with an air pressure tank is selected to drive the charging unit. A thermodynamic design is created for this variant. Based on this design a unit layout is proposed. Layout drawings are created for the proposed layout.
Hodnocení rozvojového potenciálu brownfields na území Moravskoslezského kraje
Diatková, Františka
The diploma thesis on the evaluation of the development potential of brownfields in the Moravian-Silesian Region, in the first part theoretically anchors the concept of brownfields, specifies the basic concepts and definitions, describes the formation of brownfields and all the possibilities of their division into categories. Furthermore, it introduces the basic concepts within the process of regeneration of areas defined as brownfields and presents important national regeneration strategies and describes the legislative framework within the Czech Republic and the European Union. In the context of regeneration, it introduces the main actors in the process and the possibilities of their cooperation, and finally the advantages and disadvantages that regeneration brings with it. The last theoretical part consists of the definition of the concept of development potential and the possibilities of its evaluation, according to the available Czech and international literature. The empirical part consists of data from publicly available databases of brownfields, supplemented by own research and localization of brownfields. These data are first statistically classified, the structure of existing brownfields is created, their frequency within the districts of the Moravian-Silesian Region, in terms of original use, future use, availability of infrastructure. In the practical part, the actual system of classification of brownfields according to development potential and the subsequent presentation of data according to this classification is not designed. In the conclusion of the thesis, the results of the evaluation of the development potential of brownfields in the study area are presented and recommendations for successful regeneration and development of the brownfields are presented.
The role of CRL4 ubiquitin ligase complex in homeostasis and regeneration of gastro intestinal tract
Daněk, Veronika ; Procházka, Jan (advisor) ; Janečková, Lucie (referee) ; Čermák, Lukáš (referee)
Ubiquitination represents a central regulatory mechanism for protein function utilization. Dysfunction of ubiquitin ligases is associated with the development of various pathological conditions. However, the full complexity of the ubiquitinating network in tissue homeostasis and carcinogenesis remains to be elucidated, limiting its potential as a therapeutic target. In my PhD project, I aimed to reveal the role of E3 ubiquitin ligases, particularly CUL4A, in the alteration of regulatory pathways that result in gastrointestinal (GIT) homeostasis disorders and tumor expansion. By using a novel semantic biclustering technique, we performed expression profiling of the E3 ubiquitin ligases and uncovered the potentially redundant features of GIT-specific ubiquitin ligases based on their tissue-specific expression and ontological relationships. Testing the identified compensatory network on the mouse model showed that genes from the same ontology group simultaneously altered their expression pattern after induced epithelial damage, exposing their complementary role during tissue regeneration. Next, I focused on CUL4A, a scaffold of the Cullin4-RING E3 ubiquitin ligase complex (CRL4). We described that CUL4A is expressed by populations of secretory cells in the small intestine and colon. CUL4A deficiency...
Musculoskeletal injuries in volleyball players in relation to prevention and regeneration
Vodičková, Sára ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Panská, Šárka (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of the most common musculoskeletal injuries of volleyball players of all performance and age groups. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the injuries that the players suffered during training sessions or matches, how serious they are, how they recover and how to prevent their reoccurrence. The theoretical part of the work is mainly focused on the description of the units of the human locomotor system susceptible to injury during the game, following their diagnosis. The practical part of the work deals with the analysis of individual injuries in relation to performance and age groups and preventive and regenerative measures. The method of expert questionnaire survey is used to obtain this data. The obtained data are processed on the basis of the studied Czech and foreign literature and compared with similar studies dealing with the issue of injury rates in relation to prevention and regeneration. The results of the work indicate that the fingers are the most injured part of the musculoskeletal system, and the game specialization most prone to injuries is the post libero. Another finding is the many times greater injury rate among young groups of players and the general lack of preparation for physical activity among most volleyball players, which does...
