Analysis of the vastness of castles and their depiction on early maps
Gottstein, Otomar ; Bayer, Tomáš (advisor) ; Čábelka, Miroslav (referee)
Analysis of the vastness of castles and their depiction on early maps Abstract The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the vastness of the 21 biggest castles in the Czech Republic and their depiction on selected early maps of Bohemia and Moravia. For the purpose of analysis of the vastness there are defined geometric criteria in the thesis. These criteria take account of both the overall layout of the castle complex and the individual elements of the castle layout. All of these criteria are also applicable to all analysed castles. The analysis of vastness is realized with ArcGIS software; main source of data are geodetic plans from National Heritage Institute, additional data sources include Orthophoto CR and Digital Terrain Model 5th Generation. The numerical results of the partial criteria, presented in the results of the work, make it possible to determine the largest castle in our country or the castle with the biggest area according to individual elements of the castle layout. The analysis of depiction of castles on early maps is focused on the development of the cartographic symbol used for representation of these objects, the frequency of castles and used nomeclature in selected maps. Another part of this analysis is a cartometric analysis evaluating the accuracy of the depiction of...
Selected topics concerning immovable property and its disposition in amended Czech civil law legislation
Kolban, Petr ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Thöndel, Alexandr (referee)
The present doctoral thesis is aimed at selected questions related to the specification of real estate and the property rights associated with it. Taking into consideration legal acts of obligational character (e.g. rent), it profoundly analyzes the European dimension affecting the management of immovable property as well as provides a comparison of the recent case law, a topic covered in individual parts of the text, while evaluating the applicability of these judgments in the future, that is, in relation to the current Civil law. Following an introduction defining the main objectives of the paper, the second chapter is dedicated to the characterization of some basic questions associated with individual kinds of immovable property, which, apart from taking account of the individual innovations (some of them re-established) contained in the Code, allow for the impact of previous derogated legal rules on the application of individual amendments proposed by the law (e.g. the re-establishement of the superficies principle). The next chapter examines, besides the basic components and kinds of possession, the essential innovation of the Civil Code, that is, the possessory protection. In relation to this, the chapter also gives an interpretation of two related institutes, namely the institutes of unauthorised...
Disposition with real property in comparison with czech and finnish legal regulation
Kolban, Petr ; Salač, Josef (advisor) ; Švestka, Jiří (referee)
7 Abstract Disposition with real estate falls within the scope of present diploma thesis. The main goal of the thesis is the comparison of two legal orders which are, in many ways, similar; nevertheless, there might be found some differences which are described in textual matter. The thesis itself is divided into six chapters redundant, reflects a reform of Czech private law in progress and compares Czech doctrine with relevant case law. It is focused mainly on real estate disposition from the point of view of private law (however, some aspects of public law had to be taken into account) and lays emphasis on legal terms such as "thing", "immovable", "property", "ownership", "disposition" in their broader meaning, and "purchase agreement" (and other topics related to them). The introduction contains the outline of the structure, main goals of the thesis and a definition of the term "disposition". Disposition is perceived, as mentioned above, in largo sensu meaning and includes not only the right to make a legal act concerning the thing but also the owner's rights to use, posses, gain benefits and destroy the thing. Chapter two deals with the historical development of Finnish land law. General legal history is also taken into consideration. The following chapter discusses various kinds of things which may be...
Business secret in business transactions
Jakl, Jan ; Eichlerová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Rozehnal, Aleš (referee)
The main purpose in writing this work was therefore to analyze whether the trade secret belongs to assignable and transferable type of intangible asset law and whether it could be effectively protected. The author of this work has been himself asking questions: first of all what actually is trade secret? And is it possible transfer or cede it? And if it is possible is also possible to protect this intangible asset sufficiently in course of this transaction? The author came to conclusion that trade secret falls within the scope of intellectual property, same as patent, trademark, copyright, though trade secrets are more difficult to transfer and protect then other kinds of intellectual property while they are neither formalized nor well documented. And most of all they supposed to stay hidden forever. The property right in a trade secret is determined by the fact the owner protects its trade secret from disclosure to third parties. On the other hand in order for a valid transaction to take place trade secret must be first of all adequately identified. Above mentioned shall be taken into account while writing various types of contract that could be used for transferring of ceding of trade secrets i.e. license agreement, the contract on transfer of business share, contract for work, contract on lease...
Completion of a city block Urban development study of a city block between the streets Koliště, Cejl a Vlhká
Zatloukalová, Denisa ; Foretník, Jan (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
The subject of the thesis is the architectural design of two selected town houses in different positions. One is situated in the Koliště street, the other in the Vlhká street. The bachelor thesis is an example of two different approaches to the design of the town houses, the houses are connected by the courtyard and share the common parking. The design reacts to the noise from nearby streets and tries to show the possibility of creating quality housing in the center of Brno even under these unfavorable conditions. The concept of a classic town house is used for the whole building, the ground floor is commercial and the other floors are used for housing. Parking is provided by three-storey underground garages with a capacity of 254 parking spaces.

Thomas ethics of virtutis from the philosophical, theological and psychological point of wiev
KILBERGR, Pavel
The first part deals with the concept of virtue ethics in the view of Summa theologica. Its basis is acquired from classical philosophy of ancient scholars. Firstly, it is necessary to describe Plato's and Aristoteles systematical approach to virtues. Plato's approach is parallel with the concept of the state. Aristotle's has a system divided into rational and moral virtues, which is a small entanglement of this topic. The last systematical approach in ancient times takes Stoic's way with dualistic conception of realty and human inside, which is an approach with no ground. Thomas Aquinas continues the system of Plato's and Aristotle's and adds the theory of cardinal and supernatural virtues. The cardinal virtues are rooted in humans, through their habits, so the key question then being human's habits, disposition, and adequacy in connection with their nature. Subsequently, the virtues are an essential part of human nature or personality. The psychology deals with the topic of virtues in the context of personality psychology, especially, in the background of inner quality or traits. Recently, virtues in the psychology are still open to question and are a huge challenge.

It consists of several parcels that are currently undeveloped , or the construction of a temporary nature on them. Part of the defined area is now used as a parking lot of the Police of the Czech Republic . From the historic center it divides traffic - a small city street circuit leading to fluctuate. In the vicinity of the area are mostly townhouses with shopping level , built between the 19th - 1st half . 20th century. The old and the Bratislava streets are typical of the gallery houses with courtyards previously served as business premises . Today, these small companies but totally overcrowded scale and most low companies in this area collapsed or are in a neglected state. The whole area lacks public greenery and foliage is the closest city to the hamlet of liberation, located behind the traffic circle . The concept is based on the position of parcels - on the corner . The idea was to create a peaceful place to live and space for relaxation and meetings. The proposal consists of four masses , to bind and penetrate each other. Each material has its own separate function . Low - on the corner - allows infantry input to a depth of plot and thus offers a view of the surrounding historic facade. Compositions containing residential buildings are raised on the ground floor and the entire floor becomes a public space offers the opportunity to stroll through the old streets of Bratislavská on the street greenery, which in this area is insufficient.
