Modelling of optical microresonators
Hubálek, Milan ; Čtyroký, Jiří
The contribution outlines modelling techniques for analysis of microresonator-based integrated optical components. A principle of modelling of the time domain characteristics with the help of the spectral characteristics including influence of nonlinear optic effects is carried out. Results applicable in the field all-optical devices are shown.

Bunganič, Radovan ; Růžička, Marek ; Drahoš, Jiří
This article deals with some aspects of modelling gas-liquid systems.
Hydrodealkylation of Alkylaromates - Process Investigation and Modelling
Lederer, J. ; Krystl, V. ; Šimek, J. ; Kolena, J. ; Hanika, Jiří
Mathematical model of benzene from pyrolysis gasoline production unit of Chemopetrol Litvínov (production capacity 190 kt per annum) has been developed in the study. The model will be a useful tool for screening of different technological variants for aromatics surplus utilization. Kinetic data of all important individual reactions as an input for model solution and process simulation were determined.
K výběru odpovídajícího fenomenologického modelu pro vazkoplastické kapaliny
David, Jiří ; Filip, Petr
At present a series of phenomenological models are used for the description of flow curves of viscoplastic materials. Their application for the given materials hitherto subjects to the two following factors: number of entering parameters and agreement with the experimental data. However, for the case of viscoplastic fluids there is still one point playing a crucial role: determination whether a mutual ratio of ciscous and plastic effects generated by the proposed model corresponds to the physical characteristics of the material studied. This contribution aims to analyse partially this topic and to provide a hint for a choice of a corresponding model
Entropic Degeneration of Democracy
Bernat, Lukáš ; Pavlík, Ján (advisor) ; Šalamon, Tomáš (referee)
Democracy is always included in the discourse ?ver the theme of freedom and it is almost always considered an integral part of social order. In this context, it is a balance between freedom and power. Such discourses, however, view democracy as a political ideal and the real applications often run into democratic influences and social barriers of degenerative nature. These barriers leave nothing but the torso under the formal guise of democratic principles. This thesis unravels the influences and barriers that interfere with the application of the ideal of democracy. In this context, the technological development with which the dynamics of both social and political order changes, cannot be ignored. Based on the pieces of information about what kind of threat the degenerative effects of democracy represent, the thesis searches for such attributes, on the basis of which it is possible to construct a model of the entropic degeneration of democracy.
Business Process Modelling techniques: BPMN and EPC, comparision and a practical illustration
Kořínek, Tomáš ; Bruckner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bort, Tomáš (referee)
This thesis considers the basics of business process management, namely the business process modelling. It pays attention to the two significant notations in the business process modelling. Those notatons are: The Business Process Modelling Notation and the Event- Driven Process Chain. in the introduction it describes the importance of process modelling from the BPM point of view. As well it describes the basic ideas and fundamentals both of the mentioned notations. Also it endeavours to discover the differences between the notations and make a recommenation on when to use each of the notations. The main part, however, focuses on modelling of the processes of a student organization called Buddy System. It offers a complete listing of periodically repeated activities inside the organization. In one of the parts of the thesis there are also described some significant diferrences between the notations in case of use by a non-profit organization. Finally it gives a recommendation on when to use which notation under specific conditions.
Application For Task Management Support
Varadinov, Petr ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of an application for task management support in a company environment, in a quality assurance department. The goal of the thesis is to analyze and develop an object oriented design of the application with flexibility and options of use in mind together with a relative simple solution. The sense of aim is to prepare for a fluent and smooth implementation and to put in operation successfully. The development is being led on an agile basis. Basic principles have been taken from OpenUP methodology. The thesis completes the project documentation and brings a very flexible solution of the defined problem, which enables the general conception of the application as a tool for the task management support, not only a tool for the testing support. There are six chapters. The first three chapters introduce the problem definition and its analysis. Chapter 4 deals with the solution design. At the end you can find the summary of the achieved results during the development and project prospect.
Vliv socio-ekonomických faktorů na produkci komunálního odpadu
Kováčová, Alena ; Slavík, Jan (advisor) ; Drahovzal, Pavel (referee)
Diploma thesis examines the relationship between socio-demographic trends and municipal solid waste generation. It follows an increasing trend towards the integration of environmental, economic and social aspects to indicate the municipal solid waste generation at the present time. Not only gross domestic product, but also social indicators, household size and age structure have a significant impact on the amount of municipal solid waste. The topical aim of the thesis is to review the state of present knowledge regarding socio-demographic changes, analyse previously published models of municipal waste generation, identify socio-economic factors important for describing the amount of municipal waste at various levels in Czech Republic and observe broad scale of potential relationships. The observations and survey were made on two levels -- regional and city level. From the models obtained by working with various set of explanatory variables at regional level, one linear multivariate regression model with explanatorz power 90,20% was described in diploma thesis. It consists of one dependent variable -- municipal waste generation per household and five independent variables (net money income, household size, living costs per household per month, number of retired pensioners in household and households with net income below minimum subsistence). At city level, some parameters were just proved by correlation analysis, but they were not used as explanatory variables in regression analysis in order to obtain optimal model. Those used in regression analysis are number of inhabitants and number of people in main age groups. Regression index R2 indicates that this model explains 58,78% of the variability in total household waste generated in cities. To conclude, socio-demographic determinants of environmental protection are usually less relevant for explanation of fluctuations within waste management chain than psychological variables (attitudes, values, beliefs) and political factors. Anyway, literature review indicates that the investigations and assessment of future municipal waste streams should cover not only commonly used economic parameters, but also socio-demographic factors (Bach, 2003; Beigl, 2004; Řeháková, 2001).
3D modelling in Blender
Matiášek, Tomáš ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
The goal of this work is to create a comprehensive manual for program Blender. The work will guide a beginner user through the process of modelling. Blender is a free software used for creating animations and 3D visualizations which can then be used in the television industry, game industry, movies or commercials. This work in it's introduction mentions benefits and disadvantages of this product and lists similar products available worldwide. The rest of the work is dedicated to creating 3D models and describes scene modelling, texturing, lighting and rendering practices.
Overview of the express courier services in Czech republic
Hájek, Jan ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Lejnarová, Šárka (referee)
In this work I would like to deal with express courier service, its limits and application in the economic system and also make a small overview of the companies that supply this service in the Czech republic. In the second chapter is an overview of the history of the logistics in the Czech republic and how they help other companies. The third chapter will give you a little overview of some czech companies - two big ones and two very known express couriers. The fourth and last chapter gives an introduction into optimisation of the "travel salesman problem".
