God's Image in Gregory of Nyssa
Marunová, Magdalena ; Karfík, Filip (advisor) ; Bartoň, Josef (referee) ; Dus, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work is to introduce Gregory of Nyssa's doctrine of man as the image of God, based especially on his work Περ κατασκευ ς νθρώπουὶ ῆ ἀ (De hominis opificio). In his work Gregory created quite a systematic anthropological treatise based on Stoic sources, Biblical interpretations inspired by Philo of Alexandria and Origen, as well as on ancient medicine. In contrast to the ancient philosophical school views concerning human being, Gregory refuses the parallel of man as a small world and says that the dignity of man consists not in being similar to the created world, but to the Creator. There are many attributes that constitute human similarity to God, but especially due to the incomprehensibility man is the image of God. The incomprehensibility consists in human mind (νο ςῦ ) in which the human likeness to God can most apparently be recognized. It cannot be placed anywhere in the body and the connection between mind and body is, according to Gregory, unspeakable: the mind does not reside in any particular part of the body, but yet it acts in and is influenced by the whole body. The image of God is the whole mankind, from the first up to the last created human being. When the planned number of souls is completed, the time and everything that happens in time will come to an end. In the...
Comparison of Tree Edit Distance Algorithms
Ivkin, Egor ; Nečaský, Martin (advisor) ; Lokoč, Jakub (referee)
The aim of this thesis is the comparison of the Tree Edit Distance methods, in the context of detecting structural similarity between two XML Schema documents. The methods search the minimum number of edit operations leading from one tree to another. We have analysed and implemented a wide range of the existing tree edit distance approaches. It is important to understand that the distance computed by the algorithms is affected by the set of used edit operations, therefore the strength in detecting XML Schema similarity differs in each approach. The first part of this work contains the description of the used approaches and necessary notations. The second part provides implementation details and analysis of the described methods, which consists of theoretical comparison and empirical evaluation on real and synthetic xml data. The resulting implementation is available in the form of Java SE application.
Identification and characterization of malicious behavior in behavioral graphs
Varga, Adam ; Burget, Radim (referee) ; Hajný, Jan (advisor)
Identifikácia škodlivého správania spočíva v nájdení najdôležitejších vlastností natrénovaných klasifikátorov a následnej extrakcie podgrafu pozostávajúceho iba z týchto dôležitých vlastností uzlov a vzťahov medzi nimi. Následne je navrhnuté pravidlo pre hodnotenie extrahovaného podgrafu. Diplomová práca prebehla v spolupráci so spoločnosťou Avast Software s.r.o.
Visual experince as example and pattern in relation to the expansion and influence into human life
Nohejl, Jiří ; Wittlich, Filip (referee)
The main theme of this dissertation is to define an image as a visual experience. The human interaction is described by the author himself as a perception of the image, which serves as an information unit that could be presented as a possibility, example and pattern for the individual. There is an emphasis on the process of perception itself and on the way of interaction of an individual emphasizing the context of social learning and imitation in this text. The analysis of the principles of this interaction leading into introduction of the partial interactive models covering these processes is formed by the essential plane. The structure of the thesis is divided into ten main chapters in which the author tries to introduce a category of perception, a definition of the image and imitation as a tool of cultural transmission, presentation of the units of this transmission, the process of the interaction itself and analogous example of the fundamental role that a person in this interaction holds. There are also three analogies of these roles, which refer to the anthropological universal interaction describing the man as a gatherer and hunter. Their main purpose is to illustrate the form of a human experience better. Finally, there are reflections on the topic above. The possibilities and results, which...

Comparison of sitcoms "Friends" and "How I Met Your Mother"
Bartalová, Jana ; Kruml, Milan (advisor) ; Křemen, Pavel (referee)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to compare two favorite American sitcoms Friends and How I Met Your Mother. In this work, I first mentioned the history of the TV sitcom in our country and in the world, mentioned the central plots of the two sitcoms under review, and on the sitcom Friends reflected the events associated with 9/11. The main content of this work is comparative analysis of sitcoms, in terms of characters, locations and relationships. In the end, I introduced the episodic roles of famous celebrities and summed up the idea of this work.
Estimation and analysis of speech signal periodicity
Malucha, Jan ; Poměnková, Jitka (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
Theoretical part starts with a short introduction to speech signals and short time analysis method. Concept of periodicity is clarified. This is followed by analysis of the speech signal parameters - voiced/unvoiced classification, intonation and short time period similarity. Next the overview of methods used to analyze the mentioned parameters together with concepts of their algorithms is provided. These methods include ZCR, STE, HNR, ACF, NCC, AMDF and DTW. Algorithms using the methods with supporting preprocessing algorithms were programmed in MATLAB for practical part. All were tested on real speech signals and the results are discussed at the end of the thesis.
A tool for simultaneous playback of multiple composition interpretations
Švejcar, Michael ; Ištvánek, Matěj (referee) ; Miklánek, Štěpán (advisor)
The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis was to create a piece of software which enables the user to simultaneously play back multiple interpretations of a musical piece and switch between them instantaneously. This was achieved using the App Designer in the MATLAB environment, which is intended for developing applications with graphical user interface. The key to the development of the application was especially the use of available toolboxes and algorithms for computing chromagrams and multiscale dynamic time warping. The final IntSwitcher player enables the user to load two recordings of interpretations of one song. Chromagrams which characterize the individual recordings in terms of tonal development over time are first calculated from the input files. After that, the multiscale dynamic time warping method is applied on the chromagrams, which outputs the warping path. The warping path in this case is a matrix, in which musically corresponding samples of loaded audio files are assigned together with the resolution of 50 ms. From this, the corresponding time position of currently inactive track is computed along with its slider position. If the user switches the currently played recording, the second track starts playing in the same part of composition, even if that part is at a different time in each of the individual recordings. The final software is an appropriate tool for studying differences between various interpretations of the same musical piece.

Eigenvalues of Matrices and Their Localization
Borzíková, Žofia ; Škorpilová, Martina (advisor) ; Halas, Zdeněk (referee)
The diploma thesis is concerned with the topic of eigenvalues of matrices and their lo- calization in the complex plane. First introducing general theorems concerning eigenvalues, eigenvalues for special classes of matrices are then discussed. After presenting the theory of Jordan and Weyr canonical forms, the connection and relation of these two forms is also explained. The estimates of the localizations of the eigenvalues follows from Gershgo- rin's theorem. This text might be used as a didactic material for college-level students of mathematics, thanks to its form having theoretical parts accompanied by examples with commented solutions. It may also be used as a source of information for anyone interested in extending their knowledge of linear algebra. 1
