Analýza výstupních parametrů zážehového motoru provozovaného na etanol a benzín
Čech, Ondřej
Diploma thesis on "Analysis of output parameters spark ignition engine operated on ethanol and gasoline", focuses on the issue of the operate of motor vehicles on the fuel mix of ethanol and gasoline. The theoretical part describes the use of biofuels as a fuel for internal combustion engines in the automotive industry and simultaneously focuses on the use of bioethanol, applied as an alternative fuel for spark ignition engines. The practical part is focused on evaluating the resulting changes of output parameters of the spark ignition engine of a car operated on fuel specified by the manufacturer and fuel consisting of a mixture of ethanol and gasoline at a ratio of 1:1. Based on the results of practical measurement it has been found, that during combustion mixtures of ethanol and gasoline has decreased significantly the content of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases, but also to a decline in performance and torque of the engine in comparison with gasoline. Due to the different properties of ethanol and gasoline is required when combustion of ethanol resp. its mixture to secure greater quantity of fuel injected. The increase of injected fuel results in higher fuel consumption.
Critical Sector Analysis of the Fuel Market
Jaroš, Martin ; Strašil, Pavel (referee) ; Škapa, Stanislav (advisor)
In my bachelor‘s thesis I have analysed the diesel fuel market in the Czech Republic from the point of view of the petrol stations offers as well the consumers demand. It concerns oligopoly market form, where the front positions are taken by foreign brands. I have determined the structure type by the data referring to the market power of particular petrol station networks and also thanks to the price research itself. Consumers behave quite often very illogically in this market due to the lack of available information. These conclusions I have obtained by the market research I did on active drivers. A modern solution is a new web portal establishment based on cooperation with petrol stations, which would provide information about the fuel market to the drivers.
Electronic control units of present SI-engines
Michna, Lukáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis named „Electronic control units of present SI-engines” treats of presently known and extended electronic control systems of SI-engines, so those ones, who mainly control both fuel-air mixture preparing and its ignition in combustion chamber. These are two fundamental functions for engine running, so they are described in light of basic principle of operation and also in light of each kind of these systems and its developmental stage description. Next point is enumeration and description of single parts of electronic control system participating in engine controlling, separated to logic sections. The end of publication makes reader acquainted with most extended types of electronic control systems, their producers and elementary differences.
Possibilities of Present Automobile Fuels Substitution
Doležal, Lukáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The presented bachelor thesis deals with contemporary fuels and their substitutes . The first part summarises properties and future of crude oil and today commonly and mostly used fuels that are made from oil. These are mainly petrol and diesel oil. The second part is focused on alternative fuels such as LPG, natural gas, bio-fuel and hydrogen. Each subchapter summarises the most important characteristics, advantages and disadvantages. The third part deals with electric energy used as a substitute . This chapter is divided into three subchapters, namely electromobiles, fuel cells and hybrid vehicles. The individual subchapters again summarise the most important information, above all advantages and disadvantages. In the conclusion, emulsive oil is also mentioned.
Fuel for internal combustion engines
Vrbický, Jiří ; Jedelský, Jan (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with basic features of fuels for internal consumption engines, especially their influence on thermal efficiency. It also introduces dividing of fuels and their compare in ecologic, economic and technologic side. It is concerned convectional fuels (gasoline, diesel oil) and alternative fuels (nature gas, bottled gas, hydrogen, biodiesel, biogas, methanol and ethanol).
Direct injection systems for spark-ignition engines
Vondráček, Václav ; Rasch, František (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This bacheleor´s thesis deals with direct injection of fuel spark-ignition motors. In each chapter you can learn about principle activities injection of fuel, meet single parts and components and learn how these components work. Further, this work compare some constructional differencies of the systems of some automobile producers and observes contemporary general way of those problems with reference to future.
Fuels from Biomass.
Poskočil, Milan ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis deals with the study of the status quo use of fuels derived from biomass for automotive engines and their prospects. The goal of this work is processing the inventory of motor fuels derived from biomass, their utilization and illustrate the developments in this field. The work is focused mainly on the situation and developments in the Czech Republic.
How does gasoline stations in Czech republic react to change of crude oil price on commodity exchange?
Hrabalík, Ondřej ; Stroukal, Dominik (advisor) ; Vozárová, Pavla (referee)
Aim of this thesis was finding out whether there is asymmetry on gasoline market in Czech republic, which is common knowledge or if asymmetry is only illusion. With daily data about gasoline and diesel prices from CZ market and also daily Brent Crude Oil price, thesis tires to prove that there is no asymmetry on the market. Analysis was done with asymmetric error correction model and further testing of asymmetry with koeficients from ECM. Results yield that both gasoline and diesel markets show rather symmetrical reaction on entry price change. Asymmetry was proven only in few lags and final statement is that asymmetry on market in Czech republic is rather illusion then reality.
Dependency analysis of petrol taxation on selected factors in the EU
Trifončovski, Stanislav ; Zídková, Hana (advisor) ; Pavel, Jan (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to find out, whether there is a relation between taxation of unleaded petrol and selected economic, tax and social-institutional factors (independent variables). The thesis observes environment of 27 European Union member states during time period of 2008 to 2012. The thesis expresses in unleaded petrol taxation in two forms as effective taxation including excise tax and VAT and as excise taxation without effect of VAT. This thesis analysesrelations for both unleaded petrol taxations separately. The thesis due to regression analysis pointed out factors with dependent relation to unleaded petrol taxation. The result is a determination if selected factors affect petrol taxation, what is the influence and what economic reasons may reason.
Analysis of the price level and gasoline quantum sold at a chosen distributor in the Czech Republic and in Poland
Hlůšek, Jakub ; Zeman, Karel (advisor) ; Krebs, Vojtěch (referee)
The aim of the thesis was to analyse dependency between setting of the price level and gasoline quantum sold at a chosen distributor in the Czech Republic and in Poland. In the first part of the thesis, there are characterized price theory, tax theory, theory of state interventions, supply, demand and price elasticity of demand. In the second part, first, there is analysed whole market with fuels in both countries with their comparison. These markets have had slightly different development and they do have different market structure, because of the existence of the market leader in Poland. Second, there are analysed the data of the chosen distributor and analysed dependencies between price and quantum sold. Research showed that there is an existence of dependencies of quantum sold on both change of the absolute price and change of the relative price. These dependencies and the impact of the relative price change is more significant in the Czech Republic than in Poland.
