Effect of Manufacturing Variations of Permanent Magnets in Surface-Mounted Permanent Magnet Motors
Vícha, Adam ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Bárta, Jan (advisor)
Master’s thesis summs up issues of mounting pemanent magnets on rotor surface of permanent magnet synchronous machine. Literature reseach is divided in two parts. First one shows studies and experiments researching the impact of manufacturing tolerances of permanent magnets and wrong mounting on the rotor on cogging torque . The second part focus on analytical aproach of defining influence of permanent magnets on magnetic flux density in the air gap and phase induced voltage. Practical part focus on design of a prototype machine, wich will be used to research the impact of tolerances and imperfections. Parametric model of the prototype machine is created in Maxwell and is subjected to analysis via finite element method. Three different analysis were run, offset of permanent magnet, decrease and wrong dicertion of magnetization. At last the result of cogging torque and induced voltage are compared.
Loss-of-excitation Protection for Synchronous Generator
Čáslava, Jiří ; Geschwinder, Lukáš (referee) ; Orságová, Jaroslava (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a theoretical analysis of the problem of the exciting and de/exciting systems of synchronous alternators, an analysis of their functions and the problem of their disturbances, in connection with this being the following analysis of the asynchronous operation of the generator which appears with a big drop or with total loss of excitation. Further, it is necessary to carry out an analysis of the marginal loading and of the transient phenomena during the loss of excitation with the following summary of the knowledge and of the possibilities of the excitation loss diagnosis. The next task is to get acquainted with the possibilities how to protect machine protection terminal REM 543 produced by the ABB company, as well as with their following configuration and testing, for which we use the testing equipment of the protections TZO 3 produced by EGÚ Brno company. The primary goal of this work is to create a detailed direction for the calculation of the parameters necessary to put up the protection function UE6High of the REM 543 terminal, further to create the configuration of the protection communication and of the TZO 3 test device with PC, as well as to put up the REM 543 terminal including the putting up of the test TZO 3 device. The UE6High function works on the principle of the distance protection which is the most extended and the most effective to detect the loss of the synchronous alternator excitement. By means of the calculated values we carry out the putting up in order to pull out the MHO characteristic on the impedance level. The work also contains the measured values of the switch characteristic on the impedance level for various putting up of the rapidity of change of the excitement working quantities like voltage, current and phase shift measured within all three phases.
Electrical Drives Predictive Control Algorithms
Mynář, Zbyněk ; Vavřín, Petr (referee) ; Václavek, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with the predictive control algorithms of the AC drives. The introductory section contains summary of current state of theory and further description and classification of most significant predictive algorithms. A separate chapter is dedicated to linear model predictive control (linear MPC). The main contribution of this work is the introduction of two new predictive control algorithm for PMSM motor, both of which are based on linear MPC. The first of these algorithms has been created with the aim of minimizing its computational demands, while the second algorithm introduces the ability of field weakening. Both new algorithms and linear MPC were simulated in MATLAB-Simulink.
Magnetic field analysis of synchronous machine
Volf, Tomáš ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Skalka, Miroslav (advisor)
The Magnetic Field Analysis Project of Synchronous Machine deals with program for magnetic field analysis of synchronous machine cross section. This program is written in detail along with the necessary theory of synchronous machine and the ANSYS program. After this the program for using different types of sectional wires modification is made – in the concrete for round conductors. It is attained the numeric computing method – The Finite Element Method. To creation of the magnetic field simulation serves ANSYS program, which uses The Finite Element Method.
Iverter for three-phase motor
Mikuška, Martin ; Červinka, Dalibor (referee) ; Knobloch, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis goes into design of particular circuits for three phase inverter. Inverter’s control is ensured by digital signal controller MC56F8013 with his program. Principle of control is suggested for individual motors. Inverter design considerate universal use and capability for any three phase motor. Particular blocks are compatible each other.
Auxiliary winding supplying the voltage regulator of synchronous generator
Hrtáň, Michal ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Vítek, Ondřej (advisor)
The theme of this thesis is the design and verification of the auxiliary winding to supply the voltage regulator of the synchronous generator. The synchronous generator for which the auxiliary winding proposed is three-phase, low voltage with double layer random wound stator winding. The generator excitation is brushless with auxiliary rotating exciter. The auxiliary winding is designed for placement in the stator teeth, along with the main winding. The sizing of the auxiliary winding is derived from the power requirements the voltage regulator. Draft winding is validated analytical calculation and finite element method (FEM). The auxiliary winding has been implemented in the production of the generator. The Features of the auxiliary winding have been verified by measuring the by electrical testing room and the test results are evaluated.
