Analysis of CSR and sustainable development activities in a selected company

The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to analyse CSR and sustainable development activities in a selected company and make suggestion for the future. Theoretical part introduces the concept of CSR, the three pillars of CSR are described and organizations concentrated on this topic are mentioned . At the end of the first part, other modern approaches are presented, sustainable development in particular. In the second part, the CSR strategy of an international banking institution BNP Paribas is evaluated folow-up by its participation in reaching the Sustainable Development Goals. The activies of the Czech subsidiary are compared with other banks on the market. Finally, suggestions for the future are made based on the comparison.
Trda mark and Brand as a Cultural Phenomenon

The subject of this thesis is the empirical-theoretical analysis of socio-cultural impact of cultural elements represented by trademarks and brands from the perspective of specific cultural complex. Combination of mentioned cultural elements is examined as participating in creation of relevant symbolic base for human communication in current globalized society having capacity to influence not only consumer decision making process but also general values and cultural patterns. Persuasiveness of this cultural complex is based on the particular cultural environment adapting permanently to its evolution. Brands and trademarks in this form are retrospectively affecting the social environment. High level of efficiency and speed of such processes are currently accelerated by technological development of communication tools supporting acculturation and globalization aspects. Although described processes and relationships are generated primarily in the sphere of consumer decision-making, their real impact on the social groups is significant being relevant element of shaping general social paradigm. Comparison of Brand Building of Lev Praha and Slovan Bratislava in 2012-2014

The bachelor thesis entitled "Comparison of Brand Building of Lev Praha and Slovan Bratislava in 2012-2014" describes and compares two hockey brands which participated in the Kontinental Hockey League within delineated period of time. The aim of the thesis is a comparison of two sports brands based on theoretical and practical findings. Furthermore, I would like to highlight both similar and different aspects of the aforementioned brands. In the theoretical part, the thesis presents basics of marketing and its tools, sport marketing and brand building. In addition, the profile of the Kontinental Hockey League is included due to participation of both clubs and also in order to clarify the broader context with the impact on brands. The practical part commences with an analysis of Lev Praha and then continues with Slovan Bratislava. Internal club resources, news portals and online sources were used so as to analyse these brands. The thesis describes in detail their history and identity, as well as their target groups and brand elements. Moreover, I also analyse the brand building process including information about the market and main competitors, the current state of brand and CSR activities. The Importance of Manager´s Communication

This thesis focuses on an important part of running an organization. The importance of communication elements for working executives. Communication is vital and one of the most important components of management. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. In the first part of the text they are defined concepts such as management and its level manager's personality and his style of work, communication and its distribution channels, social responsibility and ethical principles. Literary literature search is a theoretical part which was prepared on the basis of both of appropriate literature. The practical part is devoted to the research. Directed interviews with managers of different positions addressed the company. Is to analyze the communication between superiors and subordinates. The basis for this research is a list of answers managers of different jobs in the organization. The answers of respondents were recorded in the pre-prepared questionnaire. These responses led to the creation of the final assessment and conclusion. The aim is to determine how large the importance of communication to managers in their work.

The Master´s thesis aims to assess the overall CSR strategy of Tesco by using KORP analysis. It also evaluates the CSR projects of the company through media analysis. Research has shown that the company is targeting its activities to social and environmental pillar. They are both ranked above average . The economic pillar has the potential to be improved, therefore there are some recommendation how to achieve it . The work points to effectively set CSR strategy of the company
Comparison of CSR activities of companies on the czech market and their contribution to society

The paper focuses on evaluation of corporate social responsibility in Starbucks and Tchibo. To fulfil this aim is used the analysis of CSR activities of companies mentioned above. The indispensable part of this paper is also research in form of a questionnaire, that investigates the public awareness of sustainable activities and it´s attitude to this issue. In the first part of this paper can be found a theoretical introduction to the problem, two following chapters are focused on Starbucks and Tchibo. The last part of the paper is dedicated to the questionnaire.
Social responsibility and enforcement of ethical principles for Public Administration

The thesis deals with social responsibility and the application of ethical principles in public administration. Above all, i tis the adherence to ethical principles in conjunction with the Code of Ethics of the Czech Telecommunication Office in Hradec Kralove. The thesis describes the activities of the administrative body of social responsibility and focuses on the ethical behavior of staff towards the citizens who are the users of government services. In the theoretical section briefly describes the important concepts related to ethics, social responsibility and public administration organizations. Attention is also paid to human resources and conditions of the officials in the civil service. The second part is characterized the region in which there is an investigation. In the questionnaire survey among office employees and its clients they are discovered results that highlight the behavior of public officials to the public as part of the issue. The conclusion summarizes the results obtained and reviewed the objectives of the thesis. Acquired knowledge is used for the design of specific recommendations, which should lead to a more efficient behavior of civil servants to the public. In my work I came to the conclusion that most of the office staff are aware of socially responsible behavior. The results made among officials, it was found that officials comply with the set rules of ethical behavior towards our employees and citizens. Survey among citizens was found that they provide officials with information and deal with them with the willingness and helpfulness.
University Social Responsibility

The first part of the diploma thesis aims at the problematic of social responsibility related with marketing. It depicts the development of this principle and the meaning of the concept. The abbreviation CSR is used for corporate social responsibility and it represents responsible acts and practices of a company to the environment and society in which it operates. The companies strive to reduce negative impacts of their activities as much as possible. The literature also solves an issue of social responsibility of universities which is still not clearly defined branch of social responsibility. The work determines various reasons on why the universities, as educational companies, should fulfil principles of socially responsible behaviour. The thesis also presents different interest groups, key activities and further principles of socially responsible behaviour of universities. The second part of the diploma thesis processes a case study of several foreign universities performing socially responsible strategies. Different activities are identified and divided into sections which are subsequently compared with the socially responsible activities of Czech universities. The thesis also includes a data analysis of the data acquired from the questionnaire survey performed among students of universities. The survey is focused on the perception of socially responsible behaviour on universities. The work then proposes a procedure in introduction and selection of a suitable socially responsible strategy by a university.
The Importance of Communication for a Leadership

This dissertation deals with the importance of communication for a leadership. Proper communication is an essential part of maintaining the company s market position. It is also necessary for communication within the company, mainly for setting a strategy and objectives, coordination of activities and teamwork. Managers participate in the creation of company s results by communicating with their subordinates. Improvement of managers communication skills leads to better relationships in the workplace, higher satisfaction and better work performance of employees, and thus better company s results. That is why manager s communication skills are really important. Theoretical part explains basic concepts and relations related to communication, management, and manager s duties and personality. Practical part conducted via questionnaire focuses on the analysis of selected levels of managers communication skills in the company. At the end of the dissertation, findings and recommendations for improvement in specific communication skills within the organization are formulated.
