Analysis of desktop publising tools and application of selected software
Kopecký, Lukáš ; Jarolímek, Jan (advisor) ; Vasilenko, Alexandr (referee)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of desktop publishing tools and application of the best-rated compromise software. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical which describes the theoretical principles of desktop publishing and multi-criteria analysis variants. The part is called own analysis and is focused on the characteristics of desktop publishing tools, especially their strengths and weaknesses. These characteristics are based on solver´s experience with tools. Then solver performs multi-criteria analysis of variants and comparison of systems. It is performed with methods AHP and a weighted sum. Variants are compared on the basis of the criteria price, work with colours, user-friendliness and intuitive control, layout, prepress and creating of correct PDF, availability on different platforms, typography and support of fonts of OpenType format and its functions, work with vector graphics and its formats, working with raster graphics and its formats and last but not least, stability and speed of system. The software, which is evaluated as the best compromise variant, is applied and used at the composition of three sample pages for a magazine about golf. After the analysis are compared the results of methods AHP and weighted sum each other. Than they are compared the solver´s results and results from other source.
Working with vector graphics in .NET
Růžička, Filip ; Brožek, Jiří (advisor) ; Hanzlík, Petr (referee)
Current version of the Microsoft .NET Framework (4.6) provides access to the basic functionality of GDI+ (Graphical Device Interface) with more than fifty of code elements (classes, interfaces, structures, enumerated types, and delegates) contained in the System.Drawing namespace. Many advanced functions are then offered in other three nested namespaces, namely Drawing2D, Imaging and Text. This work demonstrates on a complex example using of a selected set of these library functions and compares their output, time and memory requirements with its own parameterizable implementation of the corresponding planar geometric shapes, antialiasing techniques and filling closed areas. The goal of this work is to create an application - a simple SVG format (Scalable Vector Graphics) viewer - which will be able to interpret SVG file commands in a graphical user interface by both of the above methods and for each of them to provide information about the computational complexity, on the basis of which we can show the appropriateness of using one or the other approach, library functions or user-defined functions with the possibility of further optimization.
Application for Online Music Notation Typesetting
Mackovič, Jakub ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
In this thesis, an application for musical notation in the environment of web browsers using the SVG vector graphics format is proposed. We have a look at relevant standard notation practices as well as at the history of musical typesetting. Existing programs for musical notation are classified and examined and based on those a user interface for the application is designed along with some modifications. The implementation of the application is then described. A set of features is presented and their usefulness is with the user interface tested on users. The feedback of the testing is then evaluated and the application is improved based on the feedback. Finally, the future of the application is discussed. Because SVG can still be considered an experimental technology and many browsers lack its support or their behaviour differs, the application is only guaranteed to work on the Google Chrome browser.
HTML Document Transformation to Scalable Vector Graphics
Šafář, Martin ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the topic of rendering HTML/CSS documents using the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) language. The goal of this thesis is to design and implement an extension for the CSSBox library, which will be able to generate a vector output. First, we provide a description of the SVG language and some Java libraries that can be used for creating SVG documents. After that, there is description of the CSSBox library. Then, we perform an analysys of selected CSS3 features. The main part of this thesis is the design of a solution for rendering various CSS3 attributes such as rounded corners, gradients or transformations using SVG. After the design, there is a description of the implementation and evaluation of the achieved results using various tests. The conclusion offers some possibilities of extending this thesis.
Proposal of the Business Plan: E-shop in France.
Building Designer and Generator
Jurka, Zdeněk ; Kubíček, Radek (referee) ; Přibyl, Jaroslav (advisor)
This work deals with design and creation of 2D editor for fast transfer of bitmap building plans to a vector representation. Emphasis is placed on an object oriented design of editor allowing extension of the automatically generating 3D object representation obtained from the vector form. The thesis describes an important part of the design of the user interface and an equally important mathematical background of the implemented 2D features. The work also addresses the description of the intended generation of 3D models with a choice of appearance of the resulting 3D model.
Business Cards Generator
Šerý, Radek ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
Business cards belong to common daily communication tool mainly due to the ease of the exchange of basic information. This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of a web application that will allow a preparation of a card corresponding to the proper typographical rules. The output of this application is a PDF file, which contains the user designed business cards and the crop marks, and is thus ready to print and cut into individual cards.
CAD System for 2D Drawing
Hübner, Lukáš ; Kubíček, Radek (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis considers the characteristics of a computer aided design. It specifies the typical methods used for drawing in this sort of programs. Practical part is an application for 2D drawing, which implements some of the specified methods. There is described a concept and an implementation of the application with Qt and Open Scene Graph libraries.
Graphical Visualization of PE EXE Statistical Analysis Results
Rusnák, Jakub ; Jirák, Ota (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes statistical analysis of executable files in Portable Executable file format (PE EXE) with the entropy map, which is used to detect computer viruses which attack those files. It describes the PE EXE file format and methods of computer virus infection. The main objective is design and implementation of computer program for visualization of results of this statistical analysis. The application is implemented in c++ programming language with object oriented design on Microsoft Windows platform. It uses the 2D graphic library Cairo.
Education Computer Program for Demonstration of 2D Objects Generation in Raster
Šůs, Martin ; Šiler, Ondřej (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
There are discussed the differences between raster graphic and vector graphic in the first, the theoretical part of the thesis. Their pros and cons are mentioned and the importance of conversions between this two types of graphics is explained. Process of rasterization, conversion from vector graphic to raster graphic, for selected graphic primitives/entities is thoroughly described. The second part describes the process of development and implementation of the application.
