Internet of Things Device Based on ZigBee and 6LoWPAN
Halász, Dávid ; Mlích, Jozef (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
Internet of Things is the latest phenomenon in the computing industry. Even if it has not been completely defined yet, we are already surrounded by various devices connected to the Internet. This thesis project focuses on low cost and low-power wireless solutions and on the on-line backend behind the architecture. At the same time the present work also deals with Cloud Computing which can provide a highly scalable runtime environment for this backend without building an infrastructure. To handle the huge amount of data collected by billions of devices, BigData services could be used in the same cloud space. The project is a collection of the theoretical background of the Internet of Things; so as a result, it provides the reader with an overview of the concept. It also provides a walktrough of the design, implementation and testing process of a complex agricultural Internet of Things solution.
Internet of Things with PNVM-Based Nodes
Korejtko, Tomáš ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Janoušek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis focuses on Internet of Things (IoT) and open-source technologies based on it. Specifically aims at software solutions relevant to smart home and compatible with Raspberry Pi platform and MQTT communication protocol. This thesis also focuses on studying Petri Net Virtual Machine (PNVM) and its potential application in IoT. The objective is to design integration of PNVM into IoT with help of existing software means compatible with MQTT and implement a demo application for smart home.

Use of the Internet of Things in Supply Chain Management
Prokopová, Iva ; Basl, Josef (advisor) ; Fortinová, Jana (referee)
The thesis deals with the description of possibilities of using the Internet of Things in supply chain management and explores the use of the Internet of Things in the supply chain management among Czech companies. The theoretical part deals with the possibilities of using the Internet of Tings in the supply chain management as well as the developing standards and technologies, which make it possible to use these possibilities. The theoretical part further includes the challenges and risks of the Internet of Things that need to be dealt with when implementing it and the further anticipated development in this area. A survey based on the findings of the theoretical part of the thesis revealed the awareness of Czech businesses about the Internet of Things and how they plan to use it. The practical part of the thesis contains the evaluation of the hypotheses formulated on the basis of the results of this survey and discussion of the facts.
Internet of Things - sporttesters
Bučková, Barbora ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Novotný, Jakub (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the Internet of Things. The theoretical part defines this concept, briefly describes the history of the concept and the very issues of the Internet of Things. It is also briefly devoted to visions for the future. These are also included in selected areas of usage of the Internet of Things along with a description of the current state. Afterwards, the work will focus on the sporttesters, about which it will provide basic informations, benefits and risks. In the second part, selected sporttesters and applications are described. Next part contains a comparison of these sporttesters on the basis of established criteria. The result of the comparison is commented at the end of the thesis. The aim of the thesis is to provide the reader with a comprehensive overview of the field and to familiarize him / her with the offer of favorite sporttes-ters, including their comparison.
Internet of Things - intelligent housing infrastructure
Vaculová, Kateřina ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of Internet of Things, specifically intelligent housing. The theoretical part consists of introduction of the main automation parts in which you can implement smart devices, basic realization of infrastructure and applications used for maintenance and control. The practical part describes model audiovisual infrastructure draft and possible integration of surveillance camera system. The primary contributions of this paper are introduction of automated home to readers, the most favorite hardware solutions of this concept, model representation of audiovisual infrastructure of smart home and comparison between wired and wireless home automation systems.
Analysis of the current state of Internet of things wireless network's and it's future development
Hájek, Daniel ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis aims to introduce a phenomenon called the Internet of things (IoT) and its wireless networks, it brings short overview about the topic and it's history. In the next part of the thesis, there is presented a list of currently used wireless networks and they are compared to specialized networks developed for the Internet of things. This part also contains a short analysis of the Internet of things' current network's coverage, the analysis focuses on the countries which are the world's leaders in technology development. These countries are also compared with the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis is introduced a vision of ideal smart house. Afterwards, a project of implementation of smart devices is presented. This project aims at reaching the same attributes as the presented vision. The main part of the project is dedicated to designing a wireless network using the Zigbee standard.
Internet of things and navigation applications
Kouba, Václav ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the internet of things and GPS navigation applications. The first part of the thesis consists of theoretical basics to familiarize the reader with the internet of things, its development, areas of use and security. Currently, built in navigation devices and navigation applications in smartphones are used separately, the internet of things is going to change that. In the second part todays GPS navigation applications are analyzed and compared based on the selected criteria and it is verified if the navigation applications for smartphones can replace the built in solution of BMW X5. The applications are compared based on their functions. The aim of this thesis is to analyze each of the selected applications and compare them based on the selected criteria and choose the best replacement for the built in solution until there are combined solutions available with synchronization between the built in navigation system and a navigation application.
Risk analysis of IoT from the perspective of modern office buildings
Hemžal, Adam ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of information security risk management amongst devices of the Internet of Things mainly in the modern office buildings of a company. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the terminology of risk management, information security management and describes the functioning, security and relation of the Internet of Things towards information security. The main component of risk management is their analysis. Therefore practical part discusses the risk analysis of selected devices of the Internet of Things, which are placed in the modern office building of the company. Before the analysis a sample company is defined and then an analysis of risk of these devices is made following the norm "ISO/IEC 27005 Information security risk management." The output of the thesis is a draft of measures that minimize a nascence or possible risk damage within selected devices of Internet of Things on a sample company.
