This thesis deals with franchising as a possible way of entering the market. The work is divided into two main chapters. The first one is a theoretical part and it explains the main definition of franchising, the key concepts, the world history of franchising and also the history of development in the Czech republic. This part also looks into the foundation process of franchising and the advantages and disadvantages of this type of business. The second part which is practical one considers the franchising concept of the company called City Sightseeing. It studies the company on the global basis and also in the czech environment.

There are several alternatives to entering a new business market. This bachelor thesis focuses on franchising as one form of market entry. Both the theoretical and practical aspects of franchising will be discussed. The theoretical section encompasses the basic principles of franchising, its history and conception. All aspects of franchising, including the advantages and disadvantages for both franchisor and franchisee, will be reviewed. The practical section focuses on franchising applied to two concrete concepts, Naturhouse and Dietplus.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is Franchising as a method of entry to the market. In the first part I focus on franchising theory, its advantages, disadvantages and informative materials for this type of business. I also mention the current state of the franchise market in the Czech Republic. The second part deals with "TETA drogerie" and franchising chain functioning. In one chapter, I mention the basic information about the owner of TETA brand, its market position and services that "TETA drogerie" provides to customers. In the next chapter I discuss the franchise contract, from which I focus primarily on the "Set of rules" and its compliance. The last chapter presents the franchisees opinions about franchising chain of "TETA drogerie".

How to establish a company

This diploma thesis is focused on a franchising business establishment, particularly on the business establishment of a fictive coffe house which could become a well known franchising concept on the Czech market. Primary advantage of franchise compared to the other types of business cooperation is mainly risk reduction for the investor (franchisee) who obtains proven model of the business. For the franchisor the franchise means an easier way how to widen his business without taking higher lability. The main reason for choosing this topic is an attractivity of this field. Correct preparation and serving of a cup of coffee is not an easy process and there is not a big number of coffee houses and restaurants which can offer such a coffee. By offering high-quality and delicious coffee at user acceptable price our company would like to achieve its objectives and be a successful. The primary objective of this diploma thesis is to analyse and define strategy, mission, vision, marketing activities, product strategy and price policy of a new coffee house. These factors should be used for successful enter to the market. Secondary objective is to determine necessary initial capital, planned costs analysis and investment rate of return.
Franchising chain entry on foreign market

The aim of this thesis is to determine possibilities and conditions for extending the concept of franchising in the foregn market and develop a project of establishment of the chain process in the selected country. For the practical part I addressed Czech franchising chain. First, I analyzed the conditions for its extension chain and then I analyzed the conditions for entry to the selected country. In the last part I elaborated a project proposal for the entry of franchising chain Švejk restaurant to the Slovak republic.
Franchising as a Successful Method of Business

Last 25 years, franchising as a system of business reach a dynamical progress thanks to the easier breaking through technological and political barriers in diffusing information. These days, there are lots of famous companies, all over the world, that are using this way of business and they are very known and successful with very strong position in market environment (environment of market). The most successful ones get to the global meaning. We have already known, franchising can significantly reduce business risks. Nowadays there are about 16 thousands independent concepts in working condition that are satisfying their consumers. The main goal of this work is to characterize franchising business, explain the heart of matter and show its weaknesses and strengths. I will take an actual case of company and decide about profitability of this way of business. The whole work is divided into two parts. As an introduction I deal with features of franchising, its evolution, present situation, definition and interpretation of ideas. Then I compare this system with others and describe different kinds of franchising. At the end of the first part I describe state of affairs during foundation of new franchise company and describe situation in Czech Republic after joining in the European Union. In the second part I go in for the concrete concept in detail. I describe whole concept, show its strengths and weaknesses and its uniqueness. I illustrate simplified economical balance and mention about necessities necessary to become a franchisee. For different activities are different kinds of business the best choices. Experience shows, we can use this way of business in real estate and many others. Communication between franchisor and franchisee is very important. Founders of this concept offer to consumers something new, unique not even in the Czech Republic, but also in abroad. It can demonstrate an interest of external interested persons.
Analyse of franchise in hotel nterprise

The dominant theme my work is Analyse of franchize in hotel enterprise. Concretly I selected the bigest hotel´s company in Czech republic. This company is OREA HOTELS a.s.. OREA HOTELS has got in Czech republic about 30 hotels. Some of this hotels cooperate with OREA HOTELS as franchisee. In my work I try to analyse advantages and disadvantages franchise, organization structure, the main duties of franchisee and the procedure of incorporation hotels finally.

In the first part of my paper I concentrate on analyzing franchising as form of entrepreneurship on a concrete example -- Restaurants Potrefená husa. In the second part, using methods analysis and comparation I examine the demandness of entry franchise concepts in the German and Czech markets. My criteria for the demandness of entry are concentration of franchise concept on the market, law regulations, supply of advisory services and the last criterium is the economical demandness of market entry. In the end of my paper I do the final comparation of the demandness of market entry of franchising concepts in Czech Republic and Germany.
