Project is based on the fact that the parcel is currently vacant lot corner. In this case, it was logical to fill the resulting vacant lot and so complete the existing street parter. Another factor that influenced the design, the absence square around the site. The result is a complex of five separate residential buildings on the same ground raised ground floor, which creates a residential area on the roof, thereby reducing the final height of residential buildings. Breakdown mass was slightly influenced by the shape of battlements - The space between buildings give the possibility vistas, broken mass into smaller units and allow the penetration of sunlight across the facade of the existing buildings. Connecting the base with a residential building on the first floor is supported by material facades modulation, creating a distinctive line orbiting the border area and emphasizing the integrity of the complex.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL BUILDING ON THE CORNER OF BRATISLAVSKA AND STARA STREET IN BRNO, ZABRDOVICE. THE LOCALITY, WHICH IS SITUATED NEAD BY THE CITY CENTER AND THE SMALL INNER CITY CIRCLE HAS GREAT GENIE LOCI. THE MAIN IDEA WAS TO COMPLETE THE BLOCK, CREATE CORNER AND SAVE THE LOCAL ATMOSPHERE. THE LOCALITY HAS ALSO LACK OF PUBLIC SPACES. CHARAKTERISTIC ELEMENT IS COURTYARD, WHICH IS USUALLY CLOSED AND PRIVAT. PROJECT CREATES AN COURTYARD, BUT PUBLIC ACCESSEBLE. NEW PUBLIC SPACE THEN WILL NOT BE OPENED TO THE HECTIC STREET FULL OF CAR, WHICH MAKES IT MORE DE LUXE. MOREOVER, THIS WAY CREATS MORE SPACES FOR PARTERRE.

The area where the parcel is located , is in direct contact with the Brno city. The urban context and understanding of the context of the environment here is very difficult. This part of the city, Zabrdovice, has a rich history , tradition places but there is a very variable. The scale changes literally every step . It shall there any regulation , however, the studied area is gaining charm and potential. It lies mainly in the near walking distance from the center of Brno , in a large number of vacant spaces and undeveloped land ( the so-called brownfields ) . Consequently there is very important to clearly link the architectural and urban solutions , on which the concept of my work is based. Absence of parks, gardens and public space is evident. Places are not defined , you can not name them with a single word. I chose a bright urban concept with clear operational solutions feature a predominance of residential buildings and developing the potential of public space. The proposal supports the compact impression plots , austere but refined expression of support context locations near the city center .

New multifunctional building is situated on the corner of Bratislavska street and Stará street in city of Brno. The new building complets the block structure and opens up the corner to the public. The ground floor is a shopping area, in the wing perpendicular to the Bratislavska street are situated office spaces and in two towers and a hanged block are housing units, communication spaces and technology background. In the basement is located the parking area for residents and visitors of the building. The proposed building brings a new standard of living environment and inventiveness.

Task of this bachelor thesis was to resolve a problematic parcel on the corner of Stará and Bratislavská streets. This object works as a housing area and his associated functions are shops. This proposal offers open green space of park and by this it rises huge value not only to itself but to whole neighbourhood. From the view of Bratislavská it respects existing buildings.

The project deals with the completion of a vacant lot corner of Stará and Bratislavska street in Brno. Residential building with commercial first floor and underground parking under the building forehead. The range of apartments from studio flats after three-room apartment. Most apartments have a balcony or loggia. All residents have access to a private garden and free courtyard with a playground.

In the 18th century came first companies of the textile industry to Brno-Zábrdovice. Thanks to this fact the area began to grow and later the first buildings with galleries were built and they are still typical for Zábrdovice today. Everything is happening on the streets and in the yards. Likewise the textile industry undoubtedly belongs to Zábrdovice. Fabric is the main motive of the project. Metal fabric is hanging loosely over the balcony and galleries and partial shades interior spaces. Sheep in a flock of more than 30 pieces ceases to recognize sheep faces, it is confused and bleats. It is similar for human. The proposed objects divide the land into three smaller courts, where everyone can find their own outer space. Everyone knows his neighbours, he associates to a certain group and feels like he belongs somewhere.
