Comprehensive urbanistic analysis of selected public areas of Blansko

The bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of a high-quality public space creation. The first part deals with public space in general terms. It defines it according to the valid legislation, categorizes types and determines the demands of users and the main criteria for a hight-quality public space. The second part focuses on the qualitative assessment of Wanklovo square in Blansko according to research based on a field study. Collected data is evaluated and the strengths and the weaknesses of the target area defined.
Comprehensive urbanistic analysis of Obchodná Street in Bratislava with a theoretical vision of the development potential

This thesis aims to create a complex urban analysis of the Obchodna street in the Bratislava city centre. It aims to identify the key problems and provide a conceptual solution for them as well. It focuses on general background analysis and planning documentation, as well as an analysis of the public space. A combination of distant and field research was used to gather the necessary data. All gathered data was subsequently processed and evaluated. Key problems and their solutions were defined on the basis of SWOT analysis. These solutions consist mostly of minor and easy changes, which can help to improve the public space in Obchodna and fulfil its potential.

This thesis is focused on exploration work which can be used as a source for a land consolidation. The field research is made within the cadastral area Zborov, České Budějovice district. The first part of this thesis deals with the literary research. The land consolidation, plan of common equipment, detailed field research and its evaluation are also described in the first part. The individual terms within the chosen area are described in the second part of this thesis. The first aim of this thesis was to elaborate and evaluate the field research according to valid methodical instruction of the land consolidation. The second aim was to get all information about the current condition of the landscape and farming in the landscape. And finally to profound the arrangement which can improve the whole condition of the landscape and environment.
We Come to Live. Transformation of the Town Nehvizdy after 1990

Máčal Tomáš - DP. Přicházíme žít. Proměna městysu Nehvizdy po roce 1990 Abstract The diploma thesis explores the environment of the town Nehvizdy. The thesis also examines suburbanization changes after 1990. The current form of the town is formed by the construction of flats and family houses. It results in the development of services. Nehvizdy is geographically close to Prague. It gives the city the potential to continue building. It increases the population. People are looking for affordable housing according to current trends. Nehvizdy, like the village type, changes to "satellite city" type near the metropolis. There is the research goal. The work examines the image of the village in the years after the Velvet Revolution. There have been many changes here. This is an important sociological and historical point of view how the old residents perceive new inhabitants. This is also investigated in the opposite direction - how the new inhabitants see the old residents. Nehvizdy experienced the transformation from the agricultural village to a place full of services in the post-revolutionary years. Here the quality of hospitality, transport service and the possibility of spending free time were changed. Political Participation of the Romani Minority in the city Ceske Budejovice

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the political participation of the Romani minority in České Budějovice. The theoretical part introduces the reader to the problems that most affect the life of the minority of Romani people and also influence their political activity. The author presents the most successful, yet extinct political party, the Romani people Citizens Initiative, and is also concerned with the current Romani people political scene, which evaluates the functioning of its two actors, the Romani Democratic Party and the Party of Equal Opportunities. The analytical part is focused on the specific locality of České Budějovice. It tries to find the causes of the weak political participation of local Romani people and to find a suitable procedure to make easily their way local politics. Based on the research, the semi-structured interview with the Romani people respondents and the municipal politician of České Budějovice, the work came to the conclusion that political candidates of the Romani people lack support from their own community and that the majority political parties did not create adequate conditions for their desired success.
Identity of the Czech Evangelical Reformed Congregation members in Zelow

Based on field research among Czechs living abroad, the diploma thesis introduces the offsprings of the Czech 18th -century exile, members of the Evangelical Reformed Church in Poland, is. While the community decreased due to massive re-emigration after the Second World War, at first it remained endogamous. Eventually though, interfaith marriages with Polish Catholics increased and language usage shifted. However, offsprings of Czechs from Zelów who stayed true to the reformed faith still maintain and pass on their faith which is the main part of their identity even nowadays. Furthermore, some of them still adhere to their Czech origins. They established the Association of Czechs in Poland in 2010 and then the Czech Club in Zelów. This study refers to how members of the Evangelical Reformed congregation in Zelów see their own identity and the existence of mixed marriages within the community of the congregation.
Roofless people in Prague and their integration in to society

The scope of this bachelor thesis are roofless people and their integration to the society. This thesis is divided into two large parts. The first, theoretical part, is mainly about conceptualization of terms in context of my topic. The second part is based on the field research studied roofless people and their lives.
Bolivians in the Czech Society

The aim of this Bachelor thesis is to capture Bolivian culture in the Czech Republic and depict it's the most important and the most distinctive features. As well, the thesis deals with main features of culture in Bolivia, without we can't really understand other mentality of this nation and compare difference in their homeland and in the Czech Republic. I stressed development of Indian movement from 19th century too. Because of deficiency in professional literature that is written about Bolivians in the Czech Republic I based my thesis on field research. It's described in methodology section. National identity of Albanian emigrants in Prague

The target of this bachelor thesis is research of national identity of Albanian migrants in Prague and its manifestation. The research is carried out with the biographical method, by which the researcher focuses much more on the life of a particular person. The narrative episodic interviews are used and the greatest space is given to the narrator. Afterwards the texts obtained by this way are interpretated properly. In addition to the analysis of the interviews this paper encompass the summary of the literature engaged with the Albanians in Czech Republic. Furthermore there is the description of the biographical method, whereas it stems from the essays of Petra Klvačová and Zdeněk Konopásek. The theoretical determination of the basic terms like "identity", "national identity" and "ethnic identity" follows and then the brief review of the historical development in Albania and Kosovo. The less attention is paid to the relationship between the migrant and the city. We attained to the conclusion that the national identity of the all seven informants represents one of the possible subidentities, which moves on the imaginery web in the bigger distance from the centre than other aspects presented by the informants. These aspects were e. g. job or some hobby.
Hindi Ideophones

This thesis explores ideophones in Hindi. Ideophones are "marked words that depict sensory imagery" (Dingemnase 2011:25). It focuses on four main topics represented by four main sections. (A) It defines ideophone and offers some new perspective on this linguistic phenomenon. (B) It lists some common features of ideophones in Hindi which set them apart from the rest of the vocabulary. (C) This thesis describes first field research of ideophones. Its main goal was to find out whether speakers of Hindi actively use it or not. (D) Last part of this thesis focuses on the most interesting topic connected to ideophones - on their semantics. It is analyzed from the point of view of the Frame Semantics and the new Vivid sensation frame is suggested to capture ideophonic meanings. Important part of this thesis is ideophone list which is first of its kind.
