Electronic communication as means and dangerous factor of socialization of people with health disability.

The work deals with defining elementary benefits and risks of electronic communication for socialization of people with disabilities. In the theoretical part are defined individual benefits and risks associated with electronic communications for the socialization of this people. In the practical part has been created methodological handbook intended for schools educating pupils with disabilities. This handbook is focused on prevention of risks of electronic communication for their socialization.
The impact of the ICT on the competitiveness of the Czech Republic

The main goal of this thesis is to map and determinate position of ICT sector in the Czech economy and estimate competitiveness of this segment in the scope of economy of the Czech Republic. The first part explores and evaluates topical position of ICT sector in the Czech Republic, mainly by analyzing basic statistical data about the economic and employment impact of all ICT firms as a whole. There is also calculated effectiveness of each sector of the economy. This part provides a basic image of the ICT sector position compared to other sectors of the Czech economy. The second part continues with the research made in the first part, but on an aggregate level. It summarizes and visualizes changes in aggregated parts of economy in chronological order. Sectors of economy are aggregated to three groups according to their absorption of ICT. The third part expands previous analysis of a global scale. It summarizes and comments the Global Competitiveness Report published by World Economic Forum. This chapter provides clear review of competitiveness of Czech Republic compared to European Union, with accent on ICT sector. The last part is aimed at new methodology of scoring projects developed by the Department of Information Technologies at the University of Economics, Prague. It also sets some recommendations for future methodology. This part contains the library of case studies worked up in new methodology. Finally, there is summary of findings made during the process of exploring selected area of research which evaluates the contribution of the whole thesis as a whole to the researched topic.
Theory and practice of quality management in IS/ICT projects

This master thesis is available for everyone who is interested in quality management of IS/ICT and not only in this area. It is composed of theoretical introduction, where are discussed different points of view on quality. It deals with historical development and definition of what is the quality. For the purpose of quality management, there are described ISO norm and standard, mostly the quality norms. There is explained importance of these norms in context of our life. In addition the quality management systems like BSC or TQM is also mentioned. Another part of the thesis is about project management of IS/ICT projects and its subpart quality management. The last part of the thesis is about practical application and research. The hypotheses and goals are being verified here.. Together there are seven goals to be fulfilled. First of them is about describing quality and quality management. The rest of goals is about the verification of hypotheses originating from real situations, that the writer had experienced or examined. The first goal is realized by summarizing and commenting information from different sources creating run-through the quality and quality management. The rest of them is fulfilled by empirical research between experts from IS/ICT area, which gives answers for all of the goals. This thesis brings the view over the quality and quality management from its beginning, through applications and real utilization.
Data boxes: expectation versus reality

In connection with the effect of Act No. 300/2008 Coll. about "Electronic Actions and the Authorized Conversion of Documents" was established a key project data box for communication with public authorities. In the beginning of this work I will deal with the communication of administrative organizations and public sector institutions, I will define the basic concepts, background, principles and internal and external communication in public administration. Within the work I will describe the information and communication technologies that contribute to facilitate communication between citizens and authorities, but also among the authorities themselves, particularly I will focus on the project data box. Another part of this work will map the development of data boxes, specifically I will analyze the outstanding issues and risks during the implementation process data boxes. The aim of the thesis project will be the evaluation of the data box, his confrontation with the reality and the answers to the question of whether the data boxes met the expected target mailbox or not.
A project of introduction of ICT into a medium sized enterprise

In the theoretical part, this master thesis deals with ICT, Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations with a focus on the programme of support ICT in Enterprises. Furthermore, with the definition of SMEs and specific features of medium sized enterprise. In the practical part, an ICT project in a chosen company is described and analyzed. The project is evaluated and further opportunities of development of ICT in the company are suggested. The last chapter provides implications from the ICT area for similar businesses.
The analysis of internet portals for education of computer literacy

Development in computers has made a rapid progress recently. Using the Internet has become a common activity for a large number of people. As a result e-learning has been becoming an important part of our every-day lives. E-learning means a revolution in people's educatedness and social educational system. We can compare the importance of e-learning to the importance of typography in the past. Although education by means of printed professional literature is still more common, e-learning is spreading rapidly. It indicates its importance in the near future. E-learning represents a high potencial for both -- educateness in society and the firms that profit from it. I my thesis I concentrate on e-learning, various type of e.learning, description and subsequent description of educational portals which offers some support for computer learning in the Czech Republic.
Scientific Research Capacity and Innovation in the EU - Virtuality

In today's globalizing world high-quality research and development is becoming an even more significant requirement for a competitive country. Modern communication technologies open up new possibilities of a simpler, cheaper and more effective long-distance cooperation between researchers. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide insight into the current state of scientific research in the EU and determine, how the new communication technologies are used on the level of the EU and its member states. Virtuality can be understood as any type of communication mediated by computers over information networks. The first chapter presents general characteristics of scientific research and shows how virtuality influences it. The second chapter describes the development of scientific research, current trends, institutions and programs in the EU and analyses the application of virtuality in scientific research in the EU. Similarly, the last chapter focuses on the state of virtuality and scientific research , but on the level of national states, specifically the Czech Republic.
Man, information and ICT: The developing of information society

This thesis draws attention to two-way relationship between a man and information which significance is substantially increased with the development of so-called information society. First we define the basic concepts and approaches on this issue and then some issues that arise from the above mentioned relationship will be discussed. We will emphasize particularity of interpretation of information and influence of information on decisions and actions of man and possibilities of its misuse. In the end the attention will be paid to the information society as a whole and to its current and likely future developments. We will use, in the Czech literature rarely mentioned, evolutionary-cybernetic model of society.
ICT integretion in mergers and acquisitions

This thesis describes subject of mergers and acquisitions with aim on information and communication technologies integration process. The first part contains general mergers and acquisitions classification and definition as well as its market development over time period extended with practical experiences. Second part is about ICT integration issues in M&A process including attitudes of various literature authors and experts. The goal of the thesis is to theoretically specify the subject of mergers and acquisitions including valuation. In addition my goal is to synthetize knowledge and best practices in the process of ICT integration as well as in the merger process itself. Main contribution is to synthetize experience from past contracts and research the role of ICT in integration process. Main reason for it was that despite information age we live in, technological aspect in M&A is often underestimated aside from crucial impact which it has on success of whole process.
Word problems on the role of the primary school

The main object of my final work is creating worksheets for teaching ?Word problems? with the interactive whiteboard and using ICT (Information and Communication Technology) at a selected school. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The first part deals with the use of ICT and interactive whiteboards in teaching mathematics. I also mention the concept of a textbook, interactive textbook and my own comparing textbooks. The second part of my thesis contains a workbook I have prepared to my own support teaching on the interactive whiteboard this application and individual examples. Then I occupy myself with application worksheets in teaching pupils in the 9th year of primary school. In conclusion I gave results and of knowledge that I acquired during my teaching.
