Quantum efficiency measurement of optoelectronic components and development of experimental equipment
Lipr, Tomáš ; Palai-Dany, Tomáš (referee) ; Macků, Robert (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of quantum efficiency measurement of optoelectronic devices. The physical nature of silicon solar cells is explained here. In addition, the quantum efficiency as a concept is introduced. There is also discussed the influence of a solar cell semiconductor structure on the quantum efficiency itself. Furthermore, the thesis is focused on the design of an experimental set-up for automated measurement and data acquisition. The final realization of the step motor control unit is described in detail. It includes local and/or remote operations, design and development motivation. The next chapter is dedicated to analysis of the Matlab source code for remote operation, data acquisition and presentation. The final part of the thesis gives attention to experiments with real structures, not only the solar cells. The obtained results of analyzed measurements are presented at the conclusion.
HMI automatic tester
Lang, Stanislav ; Žalud, Luděk (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to the automation of tests of the thermostats developed by the company Honeywell. The first chapter presents a problem of self-testing of thermostats, followed by a discussion of possible approaches to solutions. Attention is paid to testing the functionality of the HMI of thermostats, especially to the part of the system, that deals with activation of touchscteen, but no other part of the problem are omitted in the text. Discussions of the problematic passes into the design and implementation of specific design solutions. The selected design of 3D-router, which moves in three orthogonal coordinates and resembles to a coordinate drill for example. First, it describes the basic concepts of mechanic and electronic part of equipment, and subsequently is designed and implemented control electronics for mechanical activator HMI. Each of the electronics components are described in detail and values of parts are based on the calculation with the exception of finished parts. The proposal of the electronics follows the possibility of maximization of universality module for applications in similar applications. The functionality of the electronics is controlled by a microprocessor with a custom program that is described in the work. Source code of some the programs is not available because it is know-how of the company. Next part of the thesis deals with optimization of the moving of axes, optimization is done empirically by measuring. An important issue is compliance with the accuracy required position, also part of the work is devoted to the issue of calibration position. Finally is solved the continuity on the superior system. It is designed and implemented the upper layer of the communication protocol used in the company. Work is the solution of specific corporate award thesis. Although it is a very specific role of the works are generally applicable for other applications. In particular, the proposed electronic represents relatively universal controller for stepper motor control.
Project of Engraving device for graphics creation
Hložek, Vojtěch ; Richter, Miloslav (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The objective of this master's thesis is to design and implement a system which would be able to transfer a picture (either a bitmap or a vector image) on a foundational material. The main part of the apparatus consists of a plotter controlled by two stepping motors. The engraving itself is provided by a marker mounted to a movable part of engraving head. There was a PCB created for controlling the entire system. It contains power supplies, a microcontroller and motor and engraving head controlling circuits. The second part of the thesis shows a microcontroller program and a user interface in a PC. The image is trasfered from the PC into the microcontroller where it is processed and, based on the controlling program, engraved to the material.
Position system design
Balogh, Jaroslav ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Čech, Petr (advisor)
The purpose of this diploma thesis was to explore possibilities, design and build 2D position system driven by PC via USB. ATmega16 and FT232R were used as the most important parts of hardware solution. Software for control of the position system was designed in C++ Builder and it can run under MS Windows XP. This work is based on semestral thesis and in future can be used in other applications or modified. 2D position system will be later used by UBMI in education and scientific applications.
Digital data recorder
Müller, Tomáš ; Skapa,, Jan (referee) ; Diblík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with method of measuring optical beam intensity, searching for communication system beam using stepper motor movement of the optical head and processing measured signal for displaying on PC. The basic theory of optoelectronics is shown here concerning the problem. There is elaborated main principles of photodetector and stepper motor mainly, which are main part of device. The second part of work is theoretical design of data recorder. All parts are described individually-their characteristics and conditions for correct usage. In the last part setup of device is explained, with the references to blocks of written programs. In the last part, main funcrions of system, its hardware managing and communication are described. At the very end of thesis, examples of measured data are presented.
CNC - design and contrlol
Matoušek, Vojtěch ; Burian, František (referee) ; Kopečný, Lukáš (advisor)
My task was to build a smaller structure triaxial CNC milling. I designed electronics for motion control. The main part is the implementation of the control unit, which will provide control of the machine. The work includes the complete design, PCB design and program description for the uP ARM. The unit can work independently as well as hardware interpolator connected to the PC.
Digitally-controlled dual-axis positioning rig for digital camera
Hrubý, Michal ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Hanák, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis introduces the construction design of two-axis positioning device to be used as panoramic head. Theoretical part explains parts of the device and in the practical part is the device assembled. The result is a complete positioning device for digital camera Canon EOS 500D and for similar camera.
Design of special antenna rotator
Půhoný, Jan ; Ježek, Michal (referee) ; Kovář, Jan (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with design electronics for an antenna rotator in two axis. There are designed and implemented drivers for two stepper motors. Was also designed and implemented control panel that allows manual control the rotator and remote control by PC via USB. At the same time created software for control panel and PC application for easy operation.
Microcontroller control of step motor
Bělíček, David ; Hanák, Pavel (referee) ; Káňa, Ladislav (advisor)
Subject of this thesis is introduction to questions of stepping motors control. The thesis characterizes basic principles some types of stepping motor, their features and control methods. These knowledges are consequently used for proposition of controlling circuit for driving stepping motor using microcontroller.
Artificial aorta for activity demonstration of intraaortal baloon contrapulsation
Bičiště, Jan ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This dissertation work describes design and construction of simulated aorta device intended to demonstrate performance of the intra-aortal balloon catheter (IAB), and to test reaction of the contra-pulsation pump during simulated cardiac output in conditions of tachycardia, bradycardia and arrhythmia. The major part of the device is transparent plastic tube. The pressure pulses (waves) are generated inside this plastic tube to simulate real cardiac output. These pressure pulses are generated by step motor with membrane. The step motor is controlled by programmable control system AMiNi-E. Individual pressure pulses simulate cardiac output in conditions of tachycardia, bradycardia and arrhythmia. Required simulated cardiac output is selected by control switches. Generated pressure pulses are read by pressure sensor and are transferred to the control system of the configuration computer. Read data can be displayed as graphs in program Microsoft Excel. The intra-aortal balloon catheter (IAB) is inserted inside the aorta and is connected with contra-pulsation pump which on pressure pulse is responding.
