Spectral analysis of flute organ whistles and their comparison

This work is focused on the problems of spectral analysis of flutes stops in organ pipes. The first part of this work is about terminology of organ pipes. This theoretical part is also focused on the problem of harmonic analysis with the use of mathematical signal processing methods, which allows this analysis. The second part of this work deals with measuring methods of specific organs and acquiring sound samples and their evaluation and spectrum description.

Interpretation of organ music

In my diploma thesis I want to deal with another topic which is very interesting and important for me and that is organ and organ music in general and everything that belongs to them. From history, production, maintenance to play itself. In most of my previous works, not only at college but also earlier, fragments of this instrument appear in my paintings (mainly whistles, which are actually the most visible and their size determines the size of whole organs and is their precept) even though I have devoted myself on another topic, these fragments I had some need to plant there. Organs are referred to as the royal instrument, they are the largest and mechanically the most complicated musical instrument. That is the complexity I would like to express in my pictures, I do not mean the complexity of the organ for the technical, construction, but especially the complexity of playing. The need for the right combinations of different registers with differently colored tones and tools. Swap pedal handbooks, etc. This is all about fascination for me. In this diploma thesis I want to use the themes that appeared on the surface often as secondary or I did not put such emphasis or were the main topic for example only one semester, but in fact I continued to work with them subconsciously in the same way, Layers, Recycling, Reaction to Substrates, etc. It could be said that such organ compositions are such layers as Bach's or any fugues that are gradually being added, layers of new and new tones often result in the the full extent that the organ is able to administer. The layer I used to work with before, and actually always appears in my works, has actually become an integral part of my paintings. I want to express the complexity of the organ compositions in my paintings, as I do. Not only by layering, but also by using different techniques, not just acrylic. I also used this in my previous work, and examined how they work with each other. I have responded to differently produced backgrounds. Organ music can be considered complicated because all we hear is produced by one person. Who must play and cater everything else that is associated with it, except perhaps the bells pedaling. This series of images will not, in the end, express myself visually, at first sight nothing concrete, over time I have come to a pretty abstract image. I do not mean to say that organ music is abstract, especially if I talk about Baroque or Classicism. Maybe in romanticism, for example, F. Liszt and his organ compositions are so complex and terribly crazy that I might consider them quite abstract. But just the organ music of Liszt, which I admire most, I think it is not possible to express it in abstract form. It's a mad, complicated tangle of different, tones, colors, games with registers, blinds, and so on, and I want to express it all on the canvas.

Transplantation and Organ Donation in the Awareness of the Non-professional Public

This bachelor thesis offers a complete overview of the tissue of organ donation and transplantation. The theoretical part contains information on the history of transplantation of vital organs. It describes the opportunities and risks of modern transplantology - the multicultural and ethical aspect. It covers activities of transplant centre and current legislation with emphasis on the criteria determination of brain death. Finally, it outlines the care of the potential donor and his/her loved ones. Empirical part is focused on the exploration level of awareness of the general public in the possibilities of organ donation and transplantation, including attitudes on the topic. J. S. Bach and His Piano Pieces for Music Art Schools

The thesis "J. S. Bach and His Piano Pieces for Music Art Schools" is focused on interpretation of the piano music of Johann Sebastian Bach. For the right understanding of the composer's musical narratives, it is necessary to acquire the basic knowledge and principles of the music theory in the Baroque era and to become familiar with the environment in which this extraordinary composer had been professionally developing and composing. This musician is presented here as the founder of a modern fingering whose musical language brought a change into musical thinking and he became inspiration and a role model for composers of the next centuries. This thesis highlights the importance of appropriately selected musical materials in piano teaching and it prefers the performance to be as authentic as possible. The main purpose of this paper is to update the knowledge of methodology and to find a comprehensive guide to a correct understanding of musical language of this genius that would help the music teachers introduce to pupils the beauty and timelessness of Bach's musical work and that would motivate them to other musical discoveries and make them desire to be further educated in music.

Organ Accompaniment of Massliturgy and New Liturgical Songs

TO THESIS "THE ORGAN ACCOMPANIMENT OF MASSLITURGY AND NEW LITURGICAL SONGS" Vít Náměstek PedF UK This thesis is going to pursue a task of the right modes of organ accompaniment of massliturgy. It describes the desirable style and character of accompaniment component parts of ceremony to make the organ play not to be for itself only, but to let it become the thing, that it schould be: The organ play has to create an organic complex with the liturgy. The work makes the direction of the play concrete and accent the sensitivity not only for pure substance of the holy mass, but also depending on liturgical day and season. It is focus on the main prelude and main postlude, on perticular preludes, postludes and interludes during the ceremony, and on accompaniments of the responses, acclamations and also solo celebrant's singing - that means on the parts, which aren't mostly mentioned in publications of organ accompaniment. The creative part of the work includes 3 new songs for worship: their tunes and lyrics , harmonization and music-theological analysis.

Composer and Teacher Petr Šandera

Résumé This Master thesis called "Composer and pedagogue Petr Šandera" disserts about a musical personality from Jihlava's region, where comes also the author of this Master thesis Pavel Salák, Šandera's student, from. Petr Šandera (*1941), who is the object of this work, graduated Academy of music in Brno in 1965, then four years later he graduated Janáček's Academy of music arts in Brno, both school in specialisation Playing organ. After he finished studies, he worked as a musical teacher in Piešťany, in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and in Jihlava. Beside it he was employed as an organist in Jihlava's crematorium. In years 1991-2002 he worked as a director of Jihlava's art school. Beside his work he addicted himself to composition during his life. He is an author of 129 opuses so far. The aim of this Master thesis is to introduce Petr Šandera, his life, his pedagogical working and mainly to point out to his abundant musical pieces, from which the essential part hasn't been interpreted yet. By the help of the analysis of two choir pieces this Master thesis should characterize Šandera's style of composition. Oral dialogues with Šandera were the main methods of work, Šandera's comments are often quoted. Chemical communication in field mice of the genus ApodemusApodemus

The bachelor thesis deals with a special sebaceous organ that probably serves as a chemical communication means with four species of Apodemus field mouse - A. flavicollis, A. sylvaticus, A. agrarius and A. microps. This organ is found on the ventral side of a tail, so it is classified as a caudal organ. It consists of significantly enlarged sebaceous glands. It is particularly developed mainly with males; however, both females and infants have it as well. Its morphological structure has the same base regardless of the species, gender, and/or age; however the extent of development varies among species. The organ releases a secretion whose chemical content is unknown so far. Thanks to the gas-liquid chromatography, researchers have found out that there are both variations in the secretion contents among individual species, as well as within the same species. This kind of secretion is basically a characteristic feature of an individual, as it bears information about the species, gender, age and even the population affiliation. Functions of the organ stay unknown as well. It might serve to mark the territory, to play a role in social interactions (i.e. agonistic behaviour) and/or to be an important part of copulatory behaviour.

Moravian-Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra of Ostrava, Černá louka

The building is located in the city Ostrava in Cerna louka, that is a city district very close to the center and river side, just in a middle of the ortogonal block build up area. The philharmonic is designed like a big block made of brass from which is rising the light glazed volume of the auditorium and where the volume of atrium is hidden in. This 2 volumes represent the future and past values of the city Ostrava. The volume of the auditorium is the only object in whole ortogonal area that is twisted. Due to this fact it gains uniqueness and dissimilarity. Thanks to that is becoming a new symbol of the city.
