Social work with adolescents addicted to psychoactive substances

The aim of this thesis is to draw attention to the serious problem of drug addiction among adolescents who are abusing addictive substances or marijuana. This increasingly important issue is discussed a lot, but very often neglected by the society. This thesis provides definitions and characteristics of individual drugs and their effects on adolescents. The need for prevention and treatment of adolescent clients is emphasized, alongside with the family support, which is often crucial. In the practical part, the author of the thesis focuses on organizations that are critically important in this field. These organizations focus on prevention, counseling services, social inclusion and treatment facilities (inpatient and outpatient services), etc. Their characteristics and methods of client treatment are described. Furthermore, in this work the author presents a survey that confirms the findings of some detailed quantitative research papers. The main findings are that drug abuse is a major problem of this century and also a burden on society, especially on the adolescents themselves. The solution is very complicated and time consuming, but everyone can contribute by not being indifferent to this problem.

Specificity of interrogation of children

Specificity of interrogation of children My Diploma Thesis deal with the particularities of children and adolescent interrogation. In thesis I discuss the examination of minors as witnesses, victims (aggrieved) and as the person against whom is initiated a procedure by the Law on Juvenile Justice and related regulations. The aim of this thesis is to point out to the process and forensic differences in the conduct of an examination of children and minors. Specific in the conduct of an examination respect psychological rarity of the stated interviewed group. In describtion of the differences of children and minors questioning I draw mainly from the professional literature. At the end of this thesis I have included the empirical research which deals with comparing of information gathered from professional publications with informations odtained by questionnaire survey. The first part describes the issue of examination criminal law, criminological perpective and from the perspective of forensic psychology. In this part is described the basic rules of examination in general which allows improved subsequent orientations for highlighting children and minors examination diferences. Socio-pedagogical work with family teen drug problem

The thesis provide an analysis of environment that might influence processes of socialization of youth people. Next to this description of socially and/or pedagogically working organizations and institutions that focus on youth and their parents in the area of risk behaviour with an aim to prevent dependence on mind-altering substances is provided. Theoretical part of the thesis discusses socio-cultural factors. Therefore roles especially of family as primary institution responsible for socialization as well as of socio-pedagogically working organizations in drug prevention targeting youth and their parents is described. Empirical part of the thesis addresses ways that parents of young users of drugs used to prevent risky behaviour of their children, what sources and types of informations about drugs they used, and to what extend they have been prepared to solve potential problems that might result in drug dependence. Also with the use of a narrative analysis it is discussed where parents sought professional help and what was their opinion about quality of socio- pedagogical intervention delivered by individual organizations.

This thesis is focused on the educational measures imposed on children and juveniles with behavioral disorders. The theoretical part summarizes knowledge of social norms in society, psychosocial child development and behavioral disorders. There are also presented the possibilities of the social pedagogical work with children and juveniles with behavioral disorders and the educational measures imposed on children and juveniles with behavioral disorders. The practical part is based on qualitative research. The research is focused on the evaluation of the educational measures effects on concrete juveniles. Educational and Psychological Profiling of the Juvenile Delinquent

The thesis presents the educational and psychological profiling of the juvenile delinquent. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of the juvenile delinquency, its specifics and developmental trends in this field. Next, it deals with the description of the juvenile's profiling from the perspective of the developmental psychology and then with the explanation where juvenile delinquency stems from. The empirical part deals with the results of the qualitative research collected in the center of the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic. The research is realized by the combination of three methods - the content analysis of documents, the semi structured interview and Tarter questionnaire in order to get anamnestic data about chosen clients of the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic and to find out the most hazardous areas of their lifes.

Probation in system of criminal sanctions from the point of view of prevention of recidivm

The theme of my diploma thesis is the efficiency of the probation supervision of the system of justice. My aim is to inform wheather and in which way the probation supervision helps to reduce the risk of crime's relapse. This diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first one is theoretical whereas the second one is practical. In the theoretical paragraph I explain the aims and reasons of probation supervision. The wide scope of taking advantages of this care is also mentioned. I describe all activities connected with the above. The pecularities of youngters's probation supervision are pointe dout, as well. Last but not least I inform about the course of the probation supervision and try to compare alternative sanctions to the imprisonment. A statistic survey of probation supervision in last few years makes a part of my thesis, too. The second part of my thesis is based on my practice in the centre of probation and mediation care. I mention the results of my research among the members of the working team in the above organisation and social worker's for youngsters and adults. Effect promotion of alcoholic beverages to teenagers the possibility of prevention

The presented thesis deals with the topic Influence of promotion of alcoholic beverages to the juveniles, ways of prevention. The goal of the thesis is mapping the situation in the field of alcohol consumption by juveniles, to find connections between alcohol consumption by juveniles and all motional factors including alcohol propagation on one side and prevention on the other side.The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with alcohol, with an emphasis on alcohol abuse by juveniles and its impact on them, the topic of advertising, principles of operation and advertising techniques and finally the issue of prevention. The practical part consists of a reconnaissance survey aimed at juveniles and the environment in which they find themselves, alcohol, prevention and promotion and their interconnectedness; the processed survey results are used to confirm or refuse the formulated hypotheses.

Prevention of socially pathological effects in Elementary school

The thesis is focused on sphere of the prevention of socially pathological effects in elementary school because only her has a great influence on teenagers. The main point of the study was to examine the level of prevention of socially pathological effects in individual schools. For comparison was made on Forcomparison, was made an research on a chosen sample of primary schools of urban and village type. According to methodological terms, was used substandard questionnaire used for personnel of selected primary schools. The research part was expanded to include the author's own practical experience in the implementation of prevention for children from 1 to 9th class of primary school.

The issue of juvenile criminal justice

of the master thesis The issue of criminal juvenile justice The thesis deals with problems of criminal justice over juveniles. The purpose of the study is to bring an objective view of actual legal regulation in The Juvenile Justice Act No. 218/2003 and to identify problematic aspects of the juvenile justice system. Legal regulation is based upon the principle not to punish juvenile delinquents in repressive way, but to eliminate negative influences. The reason for my research is to discover the main causes of children's criminality and to outline their possible solutions. I focus on two big areas in the study - problems of the juvenile criminal liability and the system of legal instruments as a reaction of society to delinquency. The thesis is divided into six chapters; each chapter is further divided into several more subchapters according to a logical succession of addressed problems. In the first chapter I define basic terms, which are important to understand these issues. These definitions come out of the Juvenile Justice Act. Chapter two describes historical development of the juvenile legislation from 1931 to present time. The chapter consists of four parts.
