Influence of technical and natural seismicity on building structures with focus on structures of masonry materials
Čada, Zdeněk ; Králik,, Juraj (referee) ; prof. Ing. Alois Materna, CSc., MBA (referee) ; Krejsa,, Martin (referee) ; Salajka, Vlastislav (advisor)
The dissertation deals with selected issues in the field of the calculation of the response of building structures which are excited with dynamic non-stationary displacement loading of its ground. Seismic load has been assumed. Procedures, how to work with seismic records with respect to the accuracy of dynamic calculations, how to modify the response spectrum to ensure the reliability, how to generate synthetic accelerogram requiring more accurate response, are recommended. Synthetic akcelerogram has been generated by own approaching, which has been used as the excitation function in the experimental seismic testing of autoclaved concrete brick building in model scale. Response values of motion in the measured points of the experiment were compared with the linear and nonlinear dynamic calculations by using the finite element method models. Different levels of detail of the numerical models have been used. The shear wall behaviour has been modelled by using constitutive models with brittle failure as well as using of non-linear interaction interface with possible delamination between the masonry bricks. The behaviour of the mathematical model of wall systems has been calibrated with respect to the measured data at shear wall experiments in real and model scale of walls.
Apartment building
Kománková, Barbora ; Struhala, Karel (referee) ; Jelínek, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor's thesis is the working-out of project documents for apartment building in the district Poštorná in Břeclav. The apartment building is built from the POROTHERM system and it has a flat roof. It is a not free-standing three-story house with an elevator and there is not a cellar. On each floor are housing units. The first floor has technical structure of the building and one unit. There are two apartment units on the second floor and also on the third floor. Covering of building is warm deck flat roof. The building is insulated with the contact system ETICS from facade polystyren. Built-up area is 219,10 m2.
Technological project of an indoor tennis hall construction in Uherský Brod location
Něnička, Roman ; Venkrbec, Václav (referee) ; Diaz, Yvetta (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the technological project of an indoor tennis hall construction in Uherský Brod. It is completely embracing the construction of the hall in terms of a carcass with its roofing. It reveals a technical report that describes the construction with reference to the used construction materials, positioning in the site and looking into its impact of the building on the environment. The following aim of the thesis is also a design of a machinery needed to implement the object. It also shows an assessment of machines and mechanization transport routes in terms of road traffic, a time and financial plan of construction, a draft and design of the equipment construction site, an analysis of economic costs of the construction, a material resources plan for the construction, a technological regulation of a flat roof and a quality test scheme along the construction.
Diagnostic research of the family house
David, Jan ; Láník, Jaromír (referee) ; Schmid, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with technical construction research of the family house which is located in 15 Horní Street in Brno. Technical construction research had to be made, due to the change of the owner of the house and to determine the status for possible reconstruction. Research includes description of the methodology of diagnostic work on building and evaluation of research with results and draft measures. The results consider the state of structure and status of its component parts.
Diagnostic and Reconstruction Design of Brick Building in Medlice
Košárek, Jan ; Cikrle, Petr (referee) ; Kocáb, Dalibor (advisor)
Master’s thesis deals with diagnostics and reconstruction of neo-gothic chapel in Medlice. Summary of appropriate testing methods for this chapel is compiled. Visual examination of whole structure have been performed by diagnostics. Masonry element strength was found out at specimens which had were taken out from structure (drill cores and whole bricks). Masonry elements also was tested by Schmidt hammer LB. Mortar was tested by Kucera’s drill. Masonry strength required for static calculation was computed from achieved values. After examination of all structure defects have been designed reconstruction by post-tensioning.
Apartment building
Handlíř, Tomáš ; Pospíšil, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kacálek, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the documentation for the construction of an apartment building. Building is a two-storey partially basement object. There are four residential units on the upper floors of the building. Each apartment is endowed with a terrace or loggia. In the basement there are rooms for household equipment such as cellars, a drying room, a common room, a cleaning room and a utility room. Project is dealing with parking problems by creating 6 parking places. Masonry longitudinal construction with use of the Porotherm system is designed for construction system. Basement construction system is masonry with permanent formwork concrete blocks. Stairs and ceiling structures are designed as cast-in-place reinforced concrete. Foundation is designed as plain concrete foundation strips. Roof is a warm flat roof with modified bitumen membrane for the main waterproof layer. The building is insulated with the contact thermal insulation system ETICS made of facade polystyrene.
Preliminary survey and assessment the building before renovation
Bartoň, Vojtěch ; Stehlík, Michal (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the construction and technical survey of a masonry building with cast iron columns. Construction-technical survey was carried out, due to the planned conversion of the building into a apartment building with public services. The thesis contains description of construction and technological survey and diagnostic methods, which includes evaluation of essential characteristics of masonry structures and cast iron columns. The practical part contains processing of diagnostic survey. Its result is determination of material and geometric characteristics of the structure.
Healthcare centre
Han, Ugur Burak ; Žižková, Lucie (referee) ; Vajkay, František (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to design a health care center in Brno. The building is located in Ivanovice/Brno. The building is ambulatory health care center with two doctor's offices for adult patients, one doctor's office for child patients and one dentist's clinic. Also, there is a pharmacy in the building. Reinforced concrete strip foundation and reinforced concrete basement peripheral walls are designed for the building. For above ground floors, ceramic masonry blocks are designed for structural load bearing frame. Green roof solution is chosen for the roof of the building.
Survey and Assessment of Brick Building in Brno, Palacky Street
Španihelová, Ivana ; Anton, Ondřej (referee) ; Cikrle, Petr (advisor)
The thesis summarizes the methods used to test and evaluate the characteristics of vertical masonry structures and further shows the evaluation procedure according to ČSN ISO 13 822. In the second part of this work there is a practical example of brick building assess-ment process, including determining the strength of the walls and the conversion of select-ed critical elements of the existing structure – window pier and wooden beamed ceiling.
Kindergarten Žabka
Jaroš, Daniel ; Sukop, Lukáš (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The subject of the master´s thesis is project documentation for construction of kindergarten building in Znojmo, city part Přímětice. Designed building is detached, two storeyed with partial ceiling and single-skin flat roof. In first floor there are located two classrooms totalling 40 children from age 3 to 6 years old. In underground floor are located rooms with technical facilities and mechanical room for elevator. In the second floor there are located three clubrooms for rent with sanitary facilities. Load-bearing masonry in above-ground floors is constructed of sand-lime blocks, in underground floor load-bearing masonry is made of concrete blocks filled with concrete and connected with reinforcing bars. Horizontal load-bearing structure are designed of prefabricated prestressed reinforced concrete slabs. The object is founded on plain concrete foundation strips and is roofed with a single-skin flat roof. Facade is designed as ventilated, insulated with mineral wool and with metal panelling.
