Subjective poverty line in Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis deals with the importance of measuring subjective poverty for social work and social policy and points to its connection with the quality of life of individuals and families. The work seeks to clearly show the benefits of direct impacts, vie subjective measurement of the poverty in comparison with the measurement of objective and interdisciplinary context in sociology and social work. Through professional research, it evaluates how social work contributes to solution contemporary social problems. It shows how research on the subjective perception of the poverty can benefit in this regard. This thesis finds out how measuring subjective poverty helps determine the client's needs. The case study shows that the acceptance of an individual way of perceiving a difficult social situation by a client, so contributes to the effectiveness of assistance. The professional contributions included, among other things, point to the impact of poverty on the children's lives and illustrate the new social risks that are constantly evolving. Professional recommendation and further research are the possibilities of improving the methods of social work and their further development. Influence of the psychosomatic situation of mothers in pregnancy on the prenatal development of the child and condition of newborn after delivery

Current status: Mental well-being in pregnancy is one of the most beautiful moments in a woman's life. It's such a miracle experience. There is a period of complete change with pregnancy. Both women and their partners are changing their living standards, changing their lifestyle, and changing their life position. A pregnant woman feels that nothing will be like before. A pregnant woman is very sensitive and also vulnerable. Purpose:The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the psychosomatic situation of the pregnant woman and her influence on the prenatal and postnatal development of the child. Another goal is to determine the degree of mental (non) well-being during pregnancy and after delivery. Methods: Qualitative secondary analysis of data and documents and subsequent synthesis of the information obtained was used to achieve the objectives set. I used the data from the National Medical Library in Prague, the library of 2. LF UK and FN Motol in Prague, the library of National center of nursing and non-medical health providers in Brno and the Academic Library of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. Also searched were the international internet database ScienceDirect, Ebscohost, PubMed. In the Scopus database, keyword search was unsuccessful. Results:The benefit of the diploma thesis is the degree of psychological well-being of pregnant women using the Freybergh scale on the basis of acquired data. Research method and research file: The diploma thesis uses a standardized evaluation method, using the Freybergh scale consisting of seventy closed questions. I will get the approval of the respondents and also Mr Freyberg, using a standardized scale. The annex is the approval of Professor Freyberghov, using the assessment scale in my diploma thesis. Respondents were ad-dressed from February 2017 until February 2018. A total of 30 pregnant women were approached by a written form, personal handover or social networking, of which fifteen were willing to engage in research. The research group was to consist of fifteen pregnant women, which is fulfilled. I responded to each respondent in third, sixth, ninth month pregnancies, and postpartum. When the respondents filled the same rating ranges from seventy questions both in the given months of pregnancy and postpartum, the respondents' task was to express the frequency of occurrence of feelings on a four-point scale from "never, at all", "rarely, exceptionally", "occasionally", "often" to "always, always, always". The nine respondents were first pregnant and six respondents had at least one pregnancy experience. The evaluation was performed using a qualitative method in the form of axial and selective coding of anchored claims using the Atlas.ti computer program. Conclusion: The paper deals with the degree extent of pregnancy psychosomatics of pregnant women using the Freybergh self-rating scale. The thesis is divided into two parts, namely the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical work focuses on the development of the fetus throughout pregnancy. It also focuses on prenatal psychology, prenatal history, and the most important part is prenatal communication. In the practical part is selected quantitative research focused on the psychological well-being of pregnant women using the Freybergh scale in selected months of pregnancy.
Pastoral care in children's homes with respect to chaplaincy

Children growing up in residential institutions lost chance to live in natural family environment. No wonder they struggle with emotional deprivation, which has a very negative influence on their future lives. Česká školní inspekce (Czech School Inspectorate) is regularly highlighting this issue, and at the same time criticizing lack of educated personell in the institutions, which could provide systematic and long-term care. Even in the Czech secular society, there is growing concern among teachers, psychologists, philosophers, and theologians about lack of transcendence, which is neccessary for healthy children's personality. However, missing transcendent element might be developed by education. There is a chance for the church to step-in, because spiritual care in secular institutions is slowly becoming well-known in the community, due to its benefits. Therefore the subject matter of this thesis is to define the role of chaplaincy in children's homes. Since this subject matter is rather unexplored, it is, in the first chapter, neccessary to introduce the reader to concepts of pastoral care. Specifics of the art therapeutical work with young children in the institutional education (with a focus on early deprivation and CAN syndrome)

The aim of these bachelor thesis is introducing to the reader the theme of art therapy with the children with syndrome CAN in the environment of children´s home. Children with the syndrome CAN have specific needs based on the deprivation and attachment disorder which is introduced in the empirical part of these theses. In the empirical part, the author of this theses is introducing the theoretical support which is necessary for understanding the whole theme connected with syndrome CAN and the manifestation of behavior based on the syndrome CAN. In the research part of the theses the author presents two Case Study based on the Art Therapy work with the children clients. In the Case Study are displayed specific symptoms and manifestation of disorders which we can observe in the art products of these children with syndrome CAN. In the end of this theses is Discussion where the author discus conclusions and is looking for some summarizing and final thought.
A child from socially disadvantaged backgrounds in nursery school

This bachelor thesis aims to determine effects of the educational environment of nursery school on the development of children from socially disadvantaged environment, to investigate motivation of parents of these children for their attendance at nursery school as well as fulfillment of their expectations. The theoretical part is devoted to themes as social disadvantage, family, reasons for emergence of socio-pathological phenomena and deprivation as well as importance of kindergarten in the life of a preschool child. In the practical part, results of the qualitative investigation are presented. This was realized in the form of interviews with parents of these children and further by observing the behavior of children and its changes in course of their kindergarten attendance.
Institutional care education and follow-up projects for children leaving institutional care education programmes

This thesis deals with consequential care after release from institutional care and relations between absence of binding person and incorporation of a young adult terminating his or her institutional care into society. The thesis focuses on institutional care, stressing its termination, it suggests changes for improvement and offers an example of good practices from Germany. Also, the thesis identifies the most serious issues of children after institutional care and describes, in detail, consequences of lack of emotional support. Utilizing case studies, the experimental part looks into whether children living in children's home can find a binding person and how presence or absence of such a person can affect their future life.
The consequences of psychological deprivation

My work deals with the description of the consequences of psychological deprivation in childhood. The beginning of the work focuses on the deprivation. Furthermore, this policy of deprivation and risk factors that may deprivation cause. In the next chapter I focus on the concepts, which are linked to deprivation, or in some cases with her confused. The concepts are deprivation, which further I extend on the emotional deprivation, attachment, subdeprivation, neglect, isolation, separation. The third charter is the consequences of psychological deprivation. In this charter, describe the certain consequences of psychological deprivation in children isolated, children i institutional care, children of deprivation in families and unwanted children. The final chapter, which concludes my work is therapy. Hare, tengentially, I describe how ongoing therapy with children, which are deprived.
Value and aspiration of clients with constitutional education

Diploma thesis deals with values and life aspirations of clients with ordered institutional education. The hesis consists of theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with legislation related to replacement foster care in the Czech Republic, the etiology of risk behaviour, behavioural disorders of childhood, and the impacts of institutional education on the overall development of the personality of the child. The aim of the practical part is to map the clients of the children's home with the Liběchov School through a research survey. Focus on clients' lives before entering the DDŠ and identify their value orientation and life aspirations in the field of education and partnership in the context of (in connection with) original family environment. The results of the survey point to the perception of family value, partnership in relationships, and education.
