Piston for 108kW 4-stroke SI-engine
Burýšek, Karel ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This Bachelor work is engaged in computing and constructional concept of a piston, intended for the four-stroke spark-ignition engine for private cars whith a view to main dimensions of a piston so that it should be able to work in conditions, which are determinated to, for all the period of it’s lifetime. We need to set strength calculations, which are inseparable part of the project procedure.
Four-cylinder gasoline engine with cylinder deactivation
Steigl, Vladimír ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is design of configuration and balancing of crankshaft which is determined for four-cylinder gasoline engine. The thesis investigates kinematics, dynamics and possible ways of balancing the inertial forces and moments of the rotating and sliding parts of the central crank mechanism. Subsequently, the 3D CAD model is designed according to the presented drawing. It is transformed into a spare torsion system, from which the calculations of its own and forced torsional vibrations are based. The proposed 3D CAD model is then spatially transmitted in the FEA software Ansys Workbench and modified (boundary conditions, etc.) in the FEA software Ansys Mechanical APDL so that it can be calculated according to the selected LSA method. From the selected results of the LSA method, the crankshaft safety factor against fatigue damage is calculated.
Stress and strain analysis of connecting rod in combustion engine using FEM
Biječek, Tomáš ; Hutař, Pavel (referee) ; Vaverka, Michal (advisor)
In this diploma thesis is completed the FEM analysis of connecting rod in combustion engine Briggs & Stratton of the garden lawnmower. Within the frame of computing in the FEM system ANSYS Workbench is solved static structural strein and stress analysis, buckling analysis a fatigue also. The boundary conditions for FEM computing come out from the kinematic and dynamic analysis of the crank-slider mechanism in combustion engine. The 3-D models of the crank-slider mechanism are created in parametric SolidWorks modeller. Own construction variants of the connecting rod based on results of FEM analysis are also designed.
Radial Slide Bearing Analysis Using Advanced Computational Methods
Orbán, Tomáš ; Dlugoš, Jozef (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
This master’s thesis introduces a slide bearing analysis using the MBS software tool of FEV Virtual Engine, including real surface topography based on 3D roughness measurements. The first half of the thesis gives a brief overview about gasoline combustion engines, slide bearing usage in engines, slide bearing construction and about essential approaches for the characterization of elasto-hydrodynamic behavior. In the second half, the process of model building, rough surface measurement and preparation of analyses are described. At the end of this thesis, the results of the analyses are shown and discussed.
Piston for 485kW 4-stroke CI-engine
Gregor, Ondřej ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This bachelor’s work deal with proposal piston for four - stroke truck Diesel engine. Aim work is determine principal dimensions piston, motor and crank mechanism. Work saam deal with strenght calculation, in order to piston safely work all the time its service life.
Cranktrain of a petrol six-cylinder aircraft engine
Vičík, Petr ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to propose a cranktrain of a petrol six-cylinder aircraft engine with the specified parameters. Build dynamic model involved an air reducer and carry out the life-stress analysis important key parts of the crankshaft.
Piston of 4-stroke SI-Engine with 75 kW Output Power
Kalugin, Ivan ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with calculating suggestion and structural solution of a piston for a 4-stroke petrol engine with 75kW output power. The structural solution includes determination basic dimensions of engine and crank mechanism. Final part is devoted to fort control of critical piston sections on the base of kinematics crank mechanism and indicator diagram.
A two stroke engine for paragliding
Šafařík, Petr ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a two-stroke engine for paragliding. First of all, the different types and designs of two-stroke engines are discussed. After the design of the crank mechanism, the forces in the engine are tested, followed by the strength control of selected components. In addition, the work includes design of individual engine components, propeller reducer and 3D models of components and motor unit.
Piston for 43kW 4-stroke SI-engine
Vaculík, Tomáš ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor’s work describes a calculational project and design solution of a piston for 43 kW power output, four-stroke petrol engine and depicts basic sizes of this engine. The piston was constructed to be able to work in hard conditions that the piston faces in the combustion area. An important part of my thesis is the piston calculation of its resistancy by which we verify corectness of suggested sizes of the piston.
Four-cylinder in-line gasoline aircraft engine
Kučera, Ondřej ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The thesis deals with the structural design of a steel connecting rod for the aircraft engine Walter Mikron III, which is currently still manufactured and developed by company PARMA-TECHNIK, s.r.o. The proposed connecting rod would replace the current duralumin connecting rod. The work also contains a strength analysis of the designed component, in which it was aimed to verify the stress on the connecting rod, based on which the fatigue safety factor was performed. This is crucial for dynamically stressed parts of internal combustion engines. Furthermore, was investigated the effect of the change of the connecting rod on the torsional vibration of the crank mechanism. For this purpose, was built a discrete torsion model. The output of the whole work is the drawing documentation of the new connecting rod, meeting the requirements for application in an aircraft engine.
